This location was fantastic. It is everything that I always expect to be in place under a Hyatt place sign. The lobby was clean, reception was easy, the hostess was very accommodating and told me all I needed to know about the hotel, and actually encouraged me to have breakfast. Admitting it was something she would eat herself, a thing I’ve never had happen about a complementary breakfast. The room was clean, the carpet was fairly new. The furniture was a bit well worn, but that’s how most Hyatt places can be, since they cater to business travelers. The room had a well working lock, which is some thing I did not have at the last hotel that I stayed at and I appreciated that. The bedding and the towels in the Hyatt Place category tend to be a little skimpy, but at least these were clean. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and the room had everything that worked as it should. I am an early driver, and I was really surprised at 5:00 AM to find that breakfast was already waiting for me, although I had been told that it typically didn’t start till six. I appreciated that the overnight person had helped set up the breakfast and offered me a hot cup of coffee and a bagel or a banana to go. I definitely would stay here again. It’s a little far from food choices, but you will get a good nights sleep.

Extremely dirty room! Looks like housekeepers just changed towels and picked up trash. Everywhere dust and hair. Never vacuumed. Mirrors never were wiped. NEVER!!! Beware!!! Check your pillow cases and sheets because you can find there strangers hair and dirty spots.

I stay here 5-6 times a year for work. Overall a good experience. Clean comfortable rooms with sufficient amenities. Nice breakfast with real hard-boiled eggs. Staff is courteous and friendly. The morning desk clerk went out of her way to get me reservations for the coming year. The hotel is improving after a dip in the aftermath of Covid. I'll be back. 😎

Overall the room and amenities were great, but I had a situation at the end of my stay that tainted my experience with this location. Because a remote worker, I had paid for late checkout at booking due to my work schedule and flight time and confirmed with the front desk at check in, but this info apparently isn’t communicated to housekeeping because they started periodically knocking to see if I’d left about an hour prior to the normal checkout time. Shortly after I told them about paying for late checkout, I got a call from front desk to re-confirm what time I’d be departing and while I thought this would be the end of the situation, housekeeping sat and waited outside my room talking amongst themselves until I left. It wasn’t very professional and detracted from my work - I should’ve at least been allowed peace after the situation was clarified to housekeeping given that I was paying to be there late.

I must say that this hotel offers excellent value for the price paid. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by their efficient check-in process. The staff at the front desk were friendly, welcoming, and professional. They swiftly handled my check-in, ensuring a hassle-free experience. I appreciated their attention to detail and the fact that they made me feel valued as a guest. Overall, I highly recommend Hyatt Place for its affordability, comfortable accommodations, and efficient check-in process.

Listen to me when I tell you there’s nothing bad about this place. I had room 346 and it was perfect! The bed was absolutely comfortable. The television worked perfectly, and the shower was amazing! If you’re going to pick a place to stay, then this is the place to stay!

I stayed here and can honestly say it was probably one of the best hotel experience's in this area..not only was the room clean, easy to access and nicely decorated but from the check in to checkout.. customer service was great..as a guest with major health issues..I am particular about cleanliness..this was clean and the bedding comfortable.. price was in season so a bit high but off season (which is April-Oct. ) Is much better.. I look forward to visiting again and having a stay that is as relaxing and nice as my other's..

Exactly what I expected. Clean as always and had a great free breakfast. Although they could not accommodate a baby crib the first night, (as it is first come, first serve), the staff went and bought BRAND NEW portable cribs for our family and others that needed them. Amazing staff and service all around! 10/10 experience!

I'd love to give this place a higher rating, but it is late February 2022, and they are still hiding under the COVID safety excuse to provide lousy microwaved breakfast and no housekeeping. We stayed for 5 nights and only received additional towels and coffee after our 4th night. If you are short handed, I get it, but there is no risk of covid from cleaning my room, and all of the science around food-borne spread was debunked the first week of the pandemic. Stop making excuses and restore the great Hyatt brand.

What is going on with this place? I totally agree with another recent reviewer who said the place is in DESPERATE need of refurbishment. What used to be a fave is now a dismal disappointment. Old everything, filthy looking carpets in the halls and the room , chipping paint on walls, the toilet that makes a loud whistle type sound on flushing for a good 45 seconds, stain on the bed coverlet, limited breakfast. I can’t believe the difference from this past February to now. Hyatt Corporate, are you listening to these comments? It’s bye bye bye for me after this visit.

Had a good night’s stay here with my family after visiting the Ford and Edison estates. The hotel and rooms were very clean and modern. The breakfast was good and sanitary during these Covid times. Getting in and out of the hotel was quick and easy. Dual elevators with social distance guidelines posted. Everyone was polite and respectful. I would stay here again.

Very nice room, suite with reading room. Very comfortable bed, great staff, nice location. Pool was great. We will be back. Piddly complaints: the TV that I do not watch, signal cut out a lot. We thought that we were getting a roll in shower, but we had a tub with monkey bars. AC was plenty cool, could not find a way to change the settings.

We stay at many Hyatt properties because consistency is not when travel. This Hyatt Place is like many others we have stayed at over the years, and that is not a bad thing. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is good. The location is a bit out of the way, but it looks like the area is preparing for a massive growth season.

The rooms are pretty standard. However, the service is what really makes the stay spectacular. I walked into the lobby and was met with the smell of fresh baked cookies. 😋 of course I had or get two! The front desk staff is friendly and has a lot of great recommendations to do in the area. The hotel is clean, and the location is right off the highway. If you are passing through, consider booking a room at this hyatt.

We had family staying there for a wedding. The time are reported as good. Free breakfast in the morning. Good lobby area to hang in. Good location. It's really difficult to get in touch with hotel staff from the outside, but it can be done. Their party space is way too expensive. I had my party offsite. Good wedding room rates.

My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel and it was an awful experience. We checked into our hotel late on Wednesday night, and they put us in a room on the first floor that was dirty and moist. Upon entering the room, the floor and walls were moist and wet. It smelled like smoke, and the people that stayed in that same room before use put paper towels all over the sprinklers and smoke alarms, so the room was not cleaned properly. There was hair all over the shower, and the bed. When we brought theses attentions to the staff, they could have cared less, and kept telling us to check back all day so they could switch us rooms. They initially tried to move us one door down on the first floor, until the evening staff moved us to the third floor. Also, during our talks with the staff they said, "We will compensate you with points to your Hyatt account for the inconvenience." No points were added to my Hyatt account, and it was truly a disaster staying at this hotel for our vacation. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rooms are small and outdated. Only standing shower no tub. Continental breakfast was OK, not a lot of selection. But the pool is nice and decent sized. Did not check out the exercise room.

I have no complaints, the front desk staff young ladies were incredibly nice and very welcoming! Give those girls a pay raise because they made my stay well worth it! Also, I enjoyed the morning breakfast, they really aim to please, only complaint were the waffles may need to be scratched, they were very hard after sitting for a while!

You can't go wrong here! The hotel is in a great location, always clean, with a welcoming staff. Mama Mia went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy and settled in for the night! Did I mention the cookies? Yummy!

Hotels staff was super nice. The down fall was we never had our rooms cleaned. I and two other rooms received dirty towels. They left my co-workers door open. Trash cans never had trash bags. Not a good experience. We ended up leaving and going to the Candlewood hotel.

If I could leave a zero star rating I would! The front desk is rude when I checked in the lady was complaining about her job and how she didn't want to be there then when I give her my card for incedentals she starts going off that chime isnt a real bank that I need to grow up and get a real bank they don't take chime cards.at 3:36 am the night before I check out they charge my card $200 for absolutely no reason the room was already paid for!!! In the morning when I came to the lobby to figure out what's going on the night auditor is interrupting me trying to talk to the other lady on the front desk saying he needed to leave so she needed to figure it out. He was extremely unprofessional and she didn't help much either no one apologized for charging me an extra $200.i still haven't received my money back. I will never stay here again!

This place exceeded my expectations ! Not only the property itself but the staff as well. The receptionist I met initially was pleasant, helpful, & genuine (blonde lady 25-30yrs old). The others have also been awesome. Great price, location, breakfast, & staff ! I will definitely be staying here again in the future :)

Asked for housekeeping service before we went out. When we came back later in the evening we found they cleaned room but they also took a small leather bag with all my chargers that i left on the desk by the outlets. Person who clean my room told housekeeping manager that they didn’t see it and manager told me that’s all she can do… so if you stay at this hotel beware, cause the thief still works there! Hotel manager told me they haven’t had issues with housekeeper before and said I could file a police report. He could not help me. Basically, he called me a liar!!!!

I've stayed at several Hyatt Place Hotels and this location is the most dated hotel. The doors and carpet throughout the hallways were worn. The metal surfaces on the elevator was nasty. I was definitely misled by the photos on the website. This hotels decor looks like the decor from 10 years ago when I first stayed at a Hyatt. I am very much disappointed. It's 2022 please step up your game.

This is a great hotel and location for business travelers who are visiting Fort Myers. The staff are very polite and friendly. The rooms are large and were clean. The facility is right off of I 75 with easy access to shopping and restaurants nearby.

I'm very loyal to staying at Hyatt places for the reason that they have larger rooms at a reasonable price. I do not recommend this location however. The interior carpets in the common area, elevators, and rooms are extremely old and smell. The hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment. Unfortunately the hotel tries to resolve this by putting air freshener everywhere. Service here is abysmal and housekeeping doesn't seem to care about taking care of their customers (see photo of our bed sheets with a horrible stain on them).

By far my favorite hotel in all of lee county! I love how thick the blankets are and how white and innocent the rooms look and the pool is very fun and clean 👌😍❤❤❤

An economic stay. Pretty old. Elevator abs carpet is quite difficult to look. Really friendly and down to earth service. Nice pool 🏊‍♀️ and complimentary breakfast. Alert: this place is middle of no where, be prepared to walk at least 30 min to the near shopping Center. It is nice walk though. The only close place is gas station 7/11 to get some simple quick fix of food.

First room had a broken shower. Second room was fine, once we figured out that the ac was running off a thermostat🤦🏿. What ruined my stay was the front desk lady calling my room to ask if I was leaving. Being a rewards member I was eligible for a late checkout. Instead of waiting until my late checkout time came she decided to call my room after the normal checkout time had passed. I'm not sure if this hotel experiences a lot of people staying beyond their checkout times but a quick check would have told her my rewards level and my eligibility to stay beyond the normal checkout time. When it comes to lodging there are many, many choices available. To make a customer, who's already been inconvenienced with a bad room, feel unwelcome or unwanted by asking when they are planning to leave, is not very hospitable. There is a distinct difference in treatment when staying at a Hyatt house or place, compared to a regency, in my opinion. At the end of the day, we are talking about a 2 hour difference in checkout times ( regular vs rewards). Was it necessary to call my room? The two stars are for the breakfast. Needles to say, if life finds me traveling to this area again in the future, I'll be sacrificing my loyalty points and choosing a different hotel.

I loved this hotel. Staff was exceptional! Hotel was clean and tidy. Great place for a quick stay and free breakfast pastries every morning at the lobby. Will return when visiting the area again!

Enjoyed my stay here. Very clean facility and rooms. Nice set up in room and glass showers are a huge plus. The breakfast was hot and delicious. All staff was very courteous. Glad I found this hotel b/c my experience with Fort Myers hotels hasn’t been pleasant.

Location was good for us but, of course, depends on your needs. The bathroom sink was in the main area. The shower and toilet in an adjacent room. The layout was such that you almost always touched the toilet when you entered/exited the shower, which is gross. The sitting area is a waste of space. The A/C is inches away from the bed and, whether on Auto, Low or High, was either too much or not enough. Breakfast was about what you'd expect for a budget hotel - gross "baked" items, industrial yogurt, mealy apples, and bad coffee. The highlight was good hard-boiled eggs...although they were only available 1 of 3 days. We were not in Ft Myers to stay inside a hotel, and this one was cheap for an apparently popular weekend. I don't regret the choice given our circumstances, but would not recommend this place.

This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. The staff are exceptionally courteous and the pool is attractive. We stayed here when we came to drop our first seed-Blessing in college. Hopefully we will be back soon! Definitely a five star!”

Feb 9 -$300 per night is out of line and over priced for this hotel. The bar was not open, the shower did not drain properly and breakfast was heated frozen sandwiches, prepackaged small bowl cereal and danishes. To be fair room was clean and bed was good. I stayed at Hyatt Place Lakeland the night before for $175 and much better experience. Bar was open, hot breakfast and plumbing worked. Staff was very helpful. Scanned a 26 page packet to me to save me 3 hr drive. Apparently location, location, location should not drive the price. Yay Lakeland. BTW - Sarasota Hyatt Place is a great stay as well. I like Hyatt Place just not Fort Myers again until prices are down.

Rooms are great. The hotel accidentally overcharged us and had to refund (which they did). The location is fine as a stop-off, but isn't close to anything noteworthy. Breakfast isn't anything to write home about but was satisfying.

We have stayed here for almost a week and there is no hot water or ever been hot water. The staff keep saying “they are working on it”… my poor kids have had to take cold baths every day.

The Hyatt Place hotel is a well-furnished hotel in a convenient area. Check-in was smooth and all of the employees we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Our room was modern and furnished very nicely. The bed was very comfortable. Our shower got warm very quickly, maybe a bit too hot as well, but that's not a bad complaint. Our room had a wraparound couch, an ottoman, a nice smaller desk, and a small kitchen area with a refrigerator and coffee maker. Although our room did lack a microwave. We chose to have breakfast and in my opinion, it was above average. The lobby had bagels, bread for toast, fresh fruit, a cereal selection, eggs, hash, and sausages. Accompanied by orange juice, apple juice, and milk. Overall, our stay was very comfortable, clean, and affordable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the area.

  • 3/5 Nancy C. 1 year ago on Google
I must confess, I honestly figured it was going to be a great room since it is the Hyatt. But I was disappointed about them not having microwave in the rooms. I asked the lady in the counter, she said we only have one in the lobby. For me it was a big disappointment, I have a little that drinks milk. Having to go down from the 3rd floor to warm her milk 😔not a very good sign. I also the lighting in the half-ways need to be fixed, for sure we need more light 💡. Breakfast was great, I must give them that credit. One day we had sausage, eggs plus cereal and bagels. Next day it was eggs , bacon, french toast plus cereals , fruits and bagels. I did see they had a Starbucks inside right next to the check in desk. Overall, it was an ok , not a hotel that I would visit again. The pool was nice .

Beds and pillows were very comfortable and the room was clean. Complimentary breakfast was some of the best I have had traveling and the front desk staff were very helpful and super friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here.
