I
am
a
46
year
old
male
that
was
treated
by
Dr.
Lado
a
few
years
back
for
depression/anxiety
and
substance
abuse
issues..
I've
been
prescribed
just
about
every
ssri
thats
being
pushed
today
by
doctors
since
my
early,
to
mid
20's.
Some
of
them
helped
for
awhile
then
seemed
to
not
have
the
effect
they
did
when
being
started
on
them,
and
eventually
i
would
end
up
going
back
to
my
old
habits
of
self
medicating
with
alcohol,
and
or
drugs.
At
the
time
of
seeking
Lado's
help
i
had
become
addicted
to
pain
killers
like
many
others
have,
by
having
back
problems,
joint
problems,
etc..
Having
an
addictive
personality
i
quickly
became
reliant
on
them,
and
i've
never
taken
a
drug
that
the
body
needs
after
trying
to
stop
taking
them,
and
i
didn't
want
to
be
on
them
anymore
due
to
the
many
other
health
problems
that
i
started
to
experience.
I
will
make
this
as
short
as
i
can
by
saying
that
initially
i
thought
i
finally
found
a
doctor
that
spent
the
time
to
listen
to
me
and
he
at
one
time
advised
for
me
to
go
to
treatment
at
the...........
where
he
also
worked
with
the.......
and
came
to
the
facility
to
treat
and
manage
his
patients.
I
did
alright
for
awhile
until
the
medication
seemed
to
not
work
as
it
first
did.
In
my
frustration
I
went
back
to
self
medicating
and
eventually
had
yet
another
breakdown..
When
i
needed
Doctor
Lado's
assistance,
my
wife
tried
to
contact
him
to
no
avail,
also
my
father
made
contact
with
him
and
he
said
he
didn't
recognize
my
name,
and
when
he
finally
did
he
said
he
hasn't
treated
me
or
seen
me
for
a
long
time
even
though
it
had
been
just
the
month
before
i
was
in
his
office
as
i
had
been
monthly
for
about
two
years
or
so..
I
would
also
like
to
say
that
Dr.
Lado's
treatment
for
the
pain
medication
was
to
prescribe
Suboxone,
which
he
had
me
on
for
the
same
several
years.
I
had
no
idea
that
trying
to
come
off
this
Suboxone
was
even
more
difficult
then
the
pain
meds
i
was
seeking
to
discontinue
in
the
first
place.
I
was
educated
about
this
type
of
medication/treatment
after
my
parents
took
matters
into
their
own
hands
and
had
me
go
to..........
in
Miami.
I'm
now
well
aware
that
Suboxone
should
be
used
as
a
step
down
medication
usually
within
a
week
or
so,
not
several
years
and
in
my
opinion
Dr.Lado
knows
this
as
well!
Let
me
just
say
this.
Dr.
Lado
basically
became
my
dealer
by
replacing
one
opioid
with
another,
and
also
added
Klonipon,
which
you
also
withdraw
from
when
trying
to
discontinue,
and
when
i
needed
help
from
him
at
my
utmost
breaking
point
he
acted
like
he
didn't
even
know
who
I
was.
After
treatment
at............
I
no
longer
self
medicate
with
substance
but
I
still
have
issues
with
depression/anxiety
and
am
still
trying
to
find
a
doctor
that
took
an
ethical
oath
to
help
and
treat
people,
instead
of
the
all
mighty
dollar,
and
joining
the
sespool
of
doctors
that
in
my
experience
have
failed
many
of
us
that
struggle
with
mental
illness!!
Doctors
like
Lado
may
start
out
with
good
intensions,
but
like
many
others
he
runs
his
office
like
any
other
return
customer
based
business,
and
as
long
as
they
keep
you
coming
back
and
being
hooked
on
their
prescribed
meds,
business
is
good.
Just
be
careful
that
when
you
need
your
trusted
doctor
the
most
he
may
not
remember
you!!!
Sleep
well
Mr.
Lado,
and
I
hope
your
proud
of
all
the
framed
accomplishments
on
your
office
wall.
Anyone
reading
this
please
know
that
there
are
doctors
out
there
that
are
still
willing
to
help
you,
but
my
experience
is
that
they
are
few
and
far
between,
but
i
hope
to
find
one
soon
some
day
,but
don't
put
up
with
a
so
called
addiction
specialist
that
gets
you
hooked
on
their
meds
and
empties
your
wallet
with
no
remorse
or
ethics!
