M & A Caribbean Restaurant, Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my chatter and 2 cents on the food. First off let me warn you the folks are nice BUT are on Jamaican time. Which means they are usually 45-60 minutes behind in our time span. Also though there are tables to sit down to eat, they are more geared for take out. Plus this is listed as a grocery store. There was not a lot on the shelves. Only to go containers were available. Now my food. I requested the jerk chicken, rice & cabbage. $9.00. At 1115 AM this was the only thing ready. ( the hours stated they were open at 9 AM) I have been to Jamaica and have had jerk chicken here..But never had it with a sauce on it. It tasted okay, I just not was expecting it. To be honest this was just a mediocre meal. You can find MUCH better jamiacan food in Ft. Myers. I will pass on coming back and go to Ft. Myers when the need for jerk chicken or oxtail strikes me.

I have tried 4 dishes so far and it is significantly better than the typical restaurants in this area. Currently there is a $5 lunch special with a drink. Portions are generous. Go here! Go here! Go here!

CLOSED!CLOSED!CLOSED! THE BEST NEWS THIS YEAR IS THIS PLACE IS NOW CLOSED!!! I wondered how long it would last with that rude guy running it with ZERO people skills and less than mediocre food. I would have paid money to have been present to watch him on the last day of business shutting it down.

I am here on vacation and came to this restaurant with my boyfriend and his family. This is absolutely some of the best food. Great prices, the man that served us and cooked the food was incredibly kind, they also had a wide range of food and beverages. I wish I lived here so I could come back more often. I got the jerk chicken 😍

This accounts girlfriend, me and my boyfriend have gone to multiple Jamaican places now since I am Jamaican myself and I love the food. This is probably the most authentic place in all of Florida. It's delicious and I can tell it hits all the culture marks. This place is amazing. Wag1

I just got my lunch there and she charged me 10 dollars even though I specifically asked for lunch which is 5.99. And I didn’t even get my drink. My first time there and she scammed me because I’m white. Not going back there again.

WOW!!! The portions are massive, and we had the oxtail and it was PHENOMENAL. The seasoning was amazing, this is really a hidden gem of a restaurant and the owner is so sweet

Food is great. I generally get oxtail and have been back many times since, even though me and my family can and do cook oxtail as well. Portion size is good for the price. One issue is that the chicken and pork are chopped up into fine pieces which I absolutely hate when it comes to food. The jerk flavor is really good though, so even though I hate the tiny chopped up pieces of meat, I will endure it at times just to get a taste of home. Jerk is one flavor that isn’t easily replicated through bottles of spices, etc. Prices are pretty good in my opinion. The only other issue is that it takes a while for them to put the food together so be prepared to wait a while, this is not an order and out in 5 minutes type deal. Hope you like it.

The curry goat is excellent, stew chicken very good too. Wish they had more sides.

The food is good, but the service is AWFUL. They make it seem like you’re bothering them and if you try to buy more than a couple of patty’s they will say no, or give you a hard time. I’ve given it many chances over the years… no improvements. I will not return.

We just moved to FL and had a taste for Jamaican food… luckily this place just re-opened after presumably hurricane Ian damage. We got the jerk chicken + ox tails. It was delicious, good service & food was ready quick! Will for sure be back.
