It
has
been
some
years
since
I've
eaten
at
El
Pilon
at
which
during
that
time,
it
was
under
a
different
owner.
Today,
I
used
their
online
reservation
app
to
reserve
a
table
for
me,
my
Dominican
niece/nephew
and
my
Boricuan
friend
(Little
sister)
and
her
son
(my
nephew).
We
had
the
pleasure
of
dining
under
the
current
owner
Jose.
We
all
have
a
Caribbean
flare,
so
it
wasn't
a
problem
ordering
from
the
menu.
We
ordered
Alcappurias
de
Guineo,
Empanada
de
Carne,
Pollo
Guisado
y
Arroz
Blanco
y
Frijoles
y
Papitas
fritas,
Carne
Guisado
y
Arroz
con
Gandules
y
Tostones.
Let
me
1st
express
how
FRESH
the
food
was.
There
was
nothing
old
or
outdated
about
this
food.
This
was
truly
💯%
FRESH
(Not
frozen)
homemade
Boricuan
food.
🇵🇷❤
Jose
did
an
EXCELLENT
job
preparing
each
dish
that
we
ordered.
We
could
taste
every
seasoning
and
herbs
that
Jose
used
in
the
food.
Authentic
food
at
its
Best!!💯
The
staff
was
very
courteous,
friendly
and
professional.
I
asked
my
server
to
have
Jose
(the
owner)
come
to
my
table
so
that
I
could
acknowledge
him
and
he
made
time
in
between
cooking
to
greet
us
and
inquired
as
to
whether
we
were
satisfied
with
our
meal.
Jose,
mi
Corazon,
mi
Amor
y
Amigo,
THANK
YOU
for
adding
your
heart
and
soul
of
Puerto
Rico
🇵🇷
to
your
menu
items.
This
was
by
far
the
BEST
Boricuan
food
we've
had
from
a
restaurant
and
possibly
from
our
Boricuan
friends
home.
If
it's
Fresh,
Delicious,
Tasty,
Authentic
Puerto
Rican
food
cooked
with
Love
that
you
crave,
then
stop
by
El
Pilon
Restaurant
on
Cleveland
Ave.
next
to
Burlington
department
store.
You
will
be
pleasantly
amazed.
❤🇵🇷💯
Gracias
para
todo,
Jose.
Dios
te
bendiga.
🙏🇵🇷❤
