This could be the worst hospital I have ever been too in my life. My daughter is having problems with her eyes. I took her there and the nurse did the "tell me the letter in the mirror" test, and my daughter missed some of them. The doctor came in, spent 30 seconds looking at her eyes ( I was expecting and asked for a full eye exam) and said here she needs this Omega-3 that I have a multi level pamphlet on. It is over 200 dollars a bottle and she needs it for the next 6 months. A doctor selling a multi level product he is making money on in a practice. Could be the most ridiculous thing ever. Then I received a bill. I called the cold, calloused lady on the phone who was only interested in getting a payment. IF YOU VALUE AND LOVE YOUR FAMILY, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO THIS PLACE. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY AND NOT ABOUT YOUR WELL BEING. If I could give zero stars I would.

My experiences have been with the medical , dental and pharmacy…..at Fort Myers and Cape Coral…. Unless you get into the ELITE medical group, most of the physicians tend to be younger and less experienced…..they tend to have a high turnover of doctors and staff …. Medical clinic charged my girlfriend for services they did not perform and it was a hassle to get them to remove the charges , luckily it was for testing and we could prove that there were no test performed when they could not show any test results , but it still took several weeks to clear the matter . Dental clinic same problem with turnover ….and lack of experience. They CAN NOT perform a simple root canal procedure . That is taught in DENTAL Schools and you must pass a “profecency “ in that procedure in order to pass Dental School !!!! Then they try to push other “specialists “ at higher rates with no discounts. I felt I was in a dental school setting having novices working on my teeth. I had my teeth cleaned a month ago and the technician took only 12 minutes to clean my teeth … and did a poor job at cleaning , but insisted that she did an excellent job . My suspicions were confirmed when I went to another dentist two weeks later and they commented on the poor cleaning … And all the staff speak Spanish …they are always speaking Spanish to each other when they are around the patients….. what gives there ??? Quality of most care there is POOR to FAIR AT BEST …. Pharmacy rates not the best . Better off to use GOOD RX card at your regular pharmacy…. Their use of there PHREESIA SYSTEM ( sorry for spelling ) every time you check in is an issue as well…. Each time I have to type in my pharmacy and other same info that I just typed in the week before…seems like they want you to use their Pharmacy…. Why is much of my data saved but pharmacy and other info is never saved . I have seen better care and services at Free Clinics in California than these health centers…

I was injured in towards the end of January this year. I was in the process of switching insurance companies. After a long wait, I was given a list of options for a new primary. I had to wait multiple months to be seen. In June I finally got the opportunity to be checked out. I knew that I had not fully recovered but I was about 95% and I wanted to make sure before I continued to get back into physical activities that I was safe to do so. I requested a MRI, and the "doctor" did not think it was necessary. He said he could prescribe me some pain meds if I needed. I told him that was not necessary and I wanted to be sure I was ok going forward. He suggested I go to physical therapy. I felt as if I was in the twilight zone. I just wanted to assurance, and I felt an MRI would help validate my claim of not being fully healthy (5 months after the injury). I was able to see a specialist recently, and I got a MRI. Unfortunately, I had to pay out of pocket... money I really do not have. Glad I did that! Turns out I have sports hernia. Please do not choose this place! I am not one to post reviews, but I do not want others to be neglected how I was. Just an overall terrible experience!!!

I hate it over here, they are quick to hang up on you, appointments take too long, they couldn't give me any information about how long I was far along with my pregnancy can't belive it took them 4 months to tell me how far I am im disappointed any lab results they want you to come in instead of letting you know over the phone making you wait a long time to get reaults. They don't really help you with that. I would recommend to call health park hospital they treat you way faster ask them to give you primary doctor there. Call them right away my sister gave birth there and she had the best experience there and they actually are quick to react to any of your concerns.

Absolute trash. While I loved Dr. Hegarty (pediatrics, Port Charlotte), I fired the practice because they NEVER get ANYTHING right. From fraudulent or ignorant billing of both the patient and the insurance company, to mismeasuring height because they don't know the difference between imperial and metric units, to REPEATEDLY getting the reason for the visit correct, to making "mistakes" during check-in that leave us waiting for 2+ hours, to "forgetting" to call in a prescription, this practice is borderline negligent. I can tell you that they have NEVER—not once—gotten through an entire visit without them making a dumb and irritating mistake.

My experience in that place is terrible at reception. In fact, today I had an appointment and I had to leave. I won't explain the reasons, but they have very bad treatment with patients. I know that the doctors and nurses are not to blame, but it is sad that everyone pays the bill. It's my fault, I don't recommend that place at all.

Terrible experience. The staff is kind but my experience with two doctors were rude. One of them I could barely get a word in and was being accused of not wanting to vaccinate my kid. Which is far from the truth. I believe in vaccinating but with a spaced out schedule. When I was finally able to get a word in I was told that I was hurting my child by not vaccinating. So all of a sudden I was being accused of not vaccinating?!? No I wanted to space them out every two weeks because I believe that it’s too much to do in one appointment. Extremely disappointed and left feeling a bit traumatized from the experience all together. Not to mention you wait 2 hrs just to see a doctor when no one is even in the waiting room.

Family health center on Grand Ave... I really appreciate my doctor, DR. JUAN SEQUIERA, he's courteous, a good listener and goes over and beyond the call of duty. He really cares about you and what's going on with your body. Keep up the fantastic work Dr. SEQUIERA and continue to let your light shine bright!!! Kudos to Front desk staff and medical assistant.

This place is just terrible. We waited over 2 hours in the lobby so be see for an appointment that we had. While waiting in the lobby for women’s health we over heard the staff making fun of a patient that had just been notified that she miscarried. Terrible people.

So my husband's diabetic and gets seen here, and just tested positive for covid and they refused to see him regardless before the 5 days he can take the medication to treat covid despite him 60 and Diabetic and high risk of complications. I begged them to at least start the treatment via pharmacy and he will come in on his appointment and they refused. My doctors at lee health don't treat patients like this, they actually care. How despicable that so called health care don't care about their clients health

Is there a wait? Yes but totally worth it. I pack my lunch and my patients. Dr. G is not only a great doctor but has a fantastic bed side manors and a staff that is very caring. I'm recognized by name each time I enter. That matters to me! Thank you for all you have done and continue to do to help me.

The ABSOLUTE WORST Health Care Provider I have ever been to. Office staff so incompetent !!! Del Prado Office the worst in Cape Coral....Had better service at free clinics in California .....Dental services SUCK, they can't provide routine dental procedures taught in dental schools ....10 minute dental cleanings !!! I would give them a ZERO if I could .....

The WORST health center. I went in for an appointment at 10am. I was there for TWO HOURS, when the doctor came, she was in for about 5-8 minutes and I was free to go. If you want to waste your time and money, this is the place for you!

I have been a patient at family health care for around 6 years I feel most employees are there just there for a pay check and couldn't care less about the patients for example just this morning while trying to resolve a problem the girls asked me to hold on so could answer HER PHONE very unprofessional in my opinion there a couple who do care and my doctor is wonderful but the back office staff is a bit undesirable

If I could it would be 0 stars. So they make appointments and you have to wait more than an hour. Then the dentist asking my 5-year-old daughter to go to her appointment alone, but she's crazy or what. A minor legally has to be accompanied by an adult. And the staff is still unprofessional, they treat people as if you are asking them, HELLO, someone pays for you to work, they should treat their clients better.

They do NOT go by income nor a sliding scale .. i called about a friend who is homeless, jobless, NO insurance of any kind 55 yrs old and in need of a dentist and i explained to the dental receptionist the situation, and she flat out told me he would still have to pay $250.00 !! for the visit. When i repeated that my friend is homeless and jobless due to serious health complications she said "yea he would still have to pay the $250.00 unless someone else can pay it for him" . Wow it is so sad that a USA CITIZENS who doesnt qualify for any type of insurance cause 1 he is a male and 2 he is jobless due to serious health complications get treated so unfairly and inhumane. Especially in a place where it states ''family health centers" which me having insurance would NEVER go see a doctor in that center. It is NOT a fancy high class center its just a building that has rinky dinky staff. It would definetly qualify for Free clinics thats how shabby it is. Family Health Center should be ashamed of themselves when they advertise income based, sliding scale this is false advertisement. If they cant give back to the community in need what good are you. ..? Except to rip off people and state medicaid insurance. If i could give them a ZERO OR LESS I WOULD. Even reputable dentist offices only charge $59.00 for the first visit which include exam, xrays, and cleaning. Family Health is an embarrassment.

The professionalism of the staff leaves a lot to be desired, this is supposed to be a professional work environment not a place to speak with patients as if they're your school friends, and still having the staff speak condescendingly to you while asking very personal questions loudly so the whole floor can hear. The wait time for the dental office can range you 20+ minutes even with an appointment, let alone trying to schedule an appointment over the phone. This place is tragic.

I called ahead to make sure there was a walk in clinic. I was told it was, but there was only 1 doctor in they day and he/she would be doing her regular appointments, so it could be a bit of a wait. When I got there, there were 2 people waiting. I told 1 of the 3 receptionists I was there as a walk in. She told me there's only one doctor and she's not seeing anyone else unless it was an emergency, for pain or prescription. I told her I had pain. This lady still wouldn't allow me to see the doctor but suggested I sign up as a new patient, and that she could get me in for an appointment in March. I might as well cut my arm off if I took her suggestion. I asked what other clinics were in the area and she referred me to the other family health center. On my way out I spoke with some kind men, and one suggested another clinic which I went to, and had no trouble. Don't bother with this place for a walk in They'll refuse you care

The doctors here are second to none in your knowledge and caring for their patience. Dr. Garcia especially is wonderful The only reason why I didn't give five stars is because of the front and office staff when you come in. I'm hearing impaired and sight impaired I let them know that when I first came in. I let them know that every time I come in. But every time it becomes an issue when they're calling me back to fill out paperwork or sign something. On several occasions I feel I was treated rudely & professionally. The social services department over there also is excellent and wonderful

Made an appointment with primary care. Got assigned dr. Caroline Rouzeau. She was friendly and about 25 minutes late. Anyway, she ended up not sending my medication she ordered (no one knows why) After calls and messages she sent it but TO THE WRONG pharmacy when I specifically mentioned twice which one it should have gone too and put detail in my messages. Honestly, she was friendly but that's about it, dont expect quality care or a primary care physician that is interested in you. Everyone I know that has used them ended up switching to leehealth or some other dr. I did too.

DO NOT USE THE CALL CENTER. If at all possible, call the office directly or go in to make appointments, ask questions, etc. The first time I tried to connect through their call center I opted to receive a call back. Three days later I called again, waited thirty minutes on hold before attempting the call back once more. I finally went in to the office personally to make my appointment. Today, I waited on hold for a full hour because I didn’t trust the “press one to receive a call back”, but the call was disconnected. A FULL HOUR. Dr. Hegarty is my pediatrician, and she’s plain awesome. But Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida should be ashamed, and hire a new call service. Patients are not often able (nor willing) to deal with this atrocious level of customer service.

If you can go somewhere, go. Service here is horrible. My kids have been seen by both the dentist and primary care physicians in Port Charlotte and Cape Coral and both places have been a nightmare to deal with.

  • 1/5 Priscilla Fernandez De C. 1 year ago on Google
They denied my kids a referral to get blood work done (so I can make sure they’re on track) because I decided not to get them vaccinated. The system is corrupt.

On a good day, these people altogether might have a brain! Ignorant and they think that they are doing something right? Because they are so narcissistic they are unable to face the fact that they are complete failures!

  • 1/5 Lesly M. 1 year ago on Google
Front desk workers are very slow and inefficient. Called numerous times and was answered by netely & Vanessa to get a referral faxed over for my step daughter who is having problems with a previous root canal. Had to stop by in person to get it because it was never received. Netelly told me to have a seat. I waited for 15 minutes and got up again and it was clear that she totally had forgotten about it and they weren’t busy. If I hadn’t said anything I would of been waiting till they closed.

they offer affordable services. it may not be the prettiest and newest health center, but it's a good option if you don't have insurance. also most of the staff is bilingual which is great to have

  • 1/5 Olga V. 2 years ago on Google
They are the worst. They drop the ball and don’t move a finger to resolve the issue that they created. I have never experience anything like it. one star is not an option

Excellent. The staff is friendly, welcoming and professional. The facility is clean, organized and very well kept. Making appointments is easy and the staff makes sure you get information clearly. I’m glad my family selected family health center of swfl to get the best care.

I am currently 31 weeks pregnant and they are completely oblivious to the tests that they have done for me and the tests that they still need to do..they have called me a few times to cancel my appointments because there was no one here to see me, would not recommend coming here if you’re pregnant

I was recently at the Port Charlotte office with my children, the front desk girl was super nice, helpful and efficient but then I had to Wait at least an hour to be called back for Triage by Ana who is also the office manager. Ana was the rudest and most unprofessional MA/manager I have ever met not to mention I couldn’t understand her and had to keep asking “What” then what she reported or wrote in the triage report wasn’t even what my concern was so in my eyes she is also a lier. Family Health Centers biggest mistake was making this lady and office manager. She should not be able to have contact of any kind with the patients. Dr. Hegarty was the nicest most caring pediatrician I have ever met. The only thing that could make this office better is to get a better office manager.
