    I have never left a review but my experience living here calls for one. Save yourself the hassle and do not live here. This is my third year here and it will be my last. I only renewed here this year because it is so difficult to find something decent and somewhat affordable in Tampa. (Not that I think Vantage is reasonable at all and they’ll do anything to get an extra dollar out of you)The first year and a half was great- because I take care of my apartment and didn’t need maintenance work. The maintenance guys are great , super nice and work with what they have- but the office staff is an absolute nightmare to work with. If you have a serious issue in your apartment( in my case a moldy, crumbling bathroom ceiling , a broken dryer, and the only windows in my apartment don’t stay open or don’t open which is a safety hazard…)you will be waiting months for a solution- if you even get one. When you try to communicate with the office staff via email- they do not answer or you get a very delayed answer very unprofessional and isn’t dealing with residents your job???. If you call they of course have an excuse as to why your issue hasn’t been resolved or even acknowledged at that. You will jump through hoops if you need anything from them. I have found all of the office staff to be rude, demeaning, and utterly unhelpful. It’s obvious they don’t care about their residents and problems in the apartments that affect your everyday life. It makes an already stressful situation 100x worse. I would love to know the requirements to work as a manager here at Vantage because there are no managerial skills in that office. Besides my personal issues here at vantage you’ll deal with a big party at the pool every weekend making it unusable, people don’t pick up their dog poop, I’ve had a few run ins with sketchy people and reports of car AND apartment break ins, termites and roaches in both apartments I’ve had here, if you get stuck with bad neighbors (like I did) well you’ll have to deal with it yourself like most things.     IF I COULD LEAVE 0 STARS I WOULD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost never leave reviews but please absolutely do not live here. The office staff is rude and unhelpful. You almost never get a code for the package room when receiving mail there so you have to be let in by the front desk. The apartment itself appears nice at first glance however the upgrades were cheap and done lazily. The bathtub in the master started separating from the floor almost right after moving in. The cabinets in the kitchen fell off constantly simply from being opened. We had bugs crawling from the hole in the bathroom between the tub and the floor. When a maintenance request was put in they simply cancelled it. We gave 60 day notice of our move out later than we needed to be out by our lease end date of July 29th (which was completely on us) so we paid rent for the month of august up to August 19th. We were moving out of state so we left only a week earlier than the 19th and they charged us a fee for leaving the apartment before then. Why does it matter if it’s empty or not if I’ve paid for it? I’m assuming at this point we won’t be getting a deposit back even though I kept it super clean while living there, left no damages and spent a day and a half scrubbing from top to bottom. Honestly in my opinion they will do anything to make an extra dollar, they are shady, uncommunicative and unhelpful. There are so many more things I could say but please absolutely do not live here.

    Please don't rent here. There have been many car thefts in the parking lots but now they are also breaking into the apartments. And the lease office just say " we are really sorry, there is anything we can do" This is a pic of the door of our front neighbor, thieves destroyed the door frame.

    Vantage on Hillsborough has some of the best maintenance staff I've ever heard of/had to work with. These guys are the sweetest! 5 years ago I was putting together my dining table and after he was done fixing my sink, he helped me with my table. Another example: I caught one of the guys as he was on his way out if another unit and asked him to listen to my noisy freezer motor- it was fixed the next day. All requests have been completed within 24-48 hours. Always. I just transferred apartments and one of the guys brought my plants that I forgot from the previous place. Y'all have an amazing maintenance staff, they definitely deserve bonuses if they aren't already receiving them.

    The lack of communication and lack of response time to the renters is why I would never recommend these apartments to anyone. I hope you all educate your staff on how to properly answer phones and not ignoring the calls. I have personally witnessed me calling and being placed on hold and because I was on hold so long I walked to the leasing office just to see the staff members showing pictures on one anothers phone and completely ignoring the phone and me still being on hold. You all do not care at all about your renters and it shows. Be more considerate of your future renters. Thank you

    No issues during the beginning of the lease, however, had many issues towards the end. Valet trash was inconsistent and often would not pick up when scheduled. They tried to charge us a fee for pet waste when we dont even own a pet? Package room rarely ever sent us codes when we had things delivered, making it a hassle to receive them. My partners truck was broken into and was an attempted theft, and the front office did absolutely nothing about it, despite other cars and apartments being broken into. They refused to accept any fault to the break ins and would not agree to install cameras, security gate, etc. After denying installation of cameras due to the budget, Claire bragged about new gym equipment being installed instead. There was a large construction project going on and the workers parked their cars/trucks in almost all the spots in our lot, making it impossible to even find parking at our own apartment. I would not recommend anyone to live here.

    I have to give Brenda a shoutout! She has been AWESOME through this entire moving process. I moved in from out of state and have been having so many issues with other rental locations whether it would be lack of communication or issues with the customer service. Brenda at Vantage was our saving grace. We took the risk and it paid off. She was attentive and replied quickly! She helped move my family in soon rather than later due to so many I foreseen issues in my part. The apartments themselves are lovely and a beautiful area for the family. Thank you again Brenda!!!!

    Just moved here from Cocoa, and I must say this community has been amazing! The apartments are beautiful and fully stocked with high quality appliances. Margie from leasing was an amazing help getting situated!!
