So I had been wanting to try this place for a long time and my partner and I came in for breakfast and that was AMAZING! I then saw they had a sign for cocktail masterclasses. I asked the staff and they were so good at getting me booked in last minute for my mums hen do! We turned up last night and from the moment we got there we felt really special. We were taken down to their cocktail bar area downstairs that was all ours. Adam took care of us all and he was extremely talented 👏 from our welcome drink, through all the cocktails he made for us to try, and he had so much patience with us when we made our own no one felt uncomfortable! We all agreed that for the money we paid per person it was well worth it and we would all highly recommend it for anyone who wants a fun night out! Thank you to Adam and all the team for making my mums hen do one she will never forget!

Recently dined here on a Sunday at lunchtime. We arrived 20 minutes early and this was not a problem. Our only issue was a slight mix up with our first drink when they gave us a bottle of gluton free peroni instead of a pint of lager. The food was 10 out of 10. The meat was delicious with a nice crunch. The vegetables had a lovely bite. The gravy devine. The service was very good; friendly, considerate and attentive. We would 100% dine here again - possibly trying their brunch menu; which looked tasty.

What a gem of a place this is. From the 'secret' dining room... Hidden behind the awesome bookcase, to the super attentive staff.... This is definitely an experience to have. The food was sublime! We took full advantage of the Leicester Food Week (back in Oct 2021), and what a treat it was... Would love to go back again and try other items on the menu, will have to wait until the next Leicester food week and hope this fine establishment participates in it again!

My absolute go to for all occasions. A great warm welcoming team as well as the out of this world flavour some dishes and extensive wine and cocktail menu! Weekly specials were devoured this week!

What a fabulous find!! We stayed at St Martin's Lodge in Peacock Lane and this place was recommended to us for breakfast (as we'd stayed at the hotel we were given 10% discount too). We were in a party of 4 and we all had the Full English Breakfast. Quality ingredients, very well cooked and plentiful. We were served by Lizzie who was fabulous, nothing too much trouble, she's a credit to the place. Will definitely eat there again should we come back to Leicester!!

Had the most delicious afternoon tea here. A very generous amount of food so our leftovers were boxed up for us to take home. The service was excellent, 'Bea' was so professional and friendly, it really felt like we were being looked after. I hope to return here again soon!

I walked in without a booking and I was lucky. They took me to their "secret" restaurant area behind "camuflaged" doors 😁. Restaurant area is very beautiful, dimly lighted with small candle like lamps on tables. I had a pork cutlet which was delicious. There is also a good variety of beers. I certainly recommend this steak house.

We had the vegan cheese and onion nut roast from the Sunday lunch menu but it didn't impress. A slice of soggy bland mush with onion marmalade and a sprinkle of cheese on top. The vegetables were ok but honestly we expected better from a place with their reputation. Teriyaki sprouts side dish was bitter. Puddinds were just ok, a good sized portion of crumble and a brownie more like chocolate sponge. Judging by the steaks on a neighbouring table, meat eaters are better catered for.

Absolutely fabulous restaurant in the centre of Leicester. Beautiful interior and so stylish. We went for brunch and there was a great choice. The food is great, the service is efficient and very friendly. All the staff are very pleasant. I can highly recommend the smashed avocados for brunch. Great coffee as well. I highly recommend this place, and cannot wait to go again.

A great meal tonight at Knight & Garter. Great service from the staff (Lizzy). Really enjoyed the Wild Mushroom Fricassee. Lovely pub with high quality food. Will be back again when in Leicester.

A real nice dining experience! I was there for a birthday celebration and sat in the main dining area which was really nice. The food was nice and the staff were amazing. Being served by Lizzie was great! Her energy, vibe and service were top tier! So a big thank you as it made my dining and celebration experience so much more wholesome.

A nice pub/ restaurant, close to the outdoor market, 4 ales on offer, attractive copper bar top, local Everard's beer featured, eclectic mix of seating and tables, in various shades of brown, which is not easy on the eye.

A fantastic restaurant. I enjoyed the food here a few times now and it's always been a great pleasure. While reasonably expensive, I'd say the food and atmosphere is well worth it (especially the "hidden" entrance the staff will take you through to get to the main guest room). 5/5, will be coming back.

Great place, really enjoyed it. Expensive but you pay for quality. I went for the brisket croquettes for starter, and they were really nice, if slightly dry... but you get some gravy so that wasn't a huge problem. I went for the cheapest steak at £25 (rump) and it was the best rump I've ever had 🙈. It was about 2 inches thick! Really was tasty. Service was really good. Price overall was £100 for 2 of us with a tip and that included beers and wine. So overall, will definitely be visiting again!

Are very good restaurant in the middle of Leicester. The setting and atmosphere were excellent. The food was delicious, I had the duck confit which was very good and so was the rest of the food with excellent portions.

I came here for brunch and to also see some comedy as part of the comedy festival. Brunch was absolutely lovely, I came here for when it opened and it wasn’t too busy so service was lovely and very quick, I was out within half an hour! I ordered the crab and scrambled eggs and breakfast tea and was really happy with my choice. Absolutely delicious! The scrambled eggs are quite lemon-y which wasn’t to my taste, but that’s more a reflection of my tastes than anything. Really chilled and relaxed vibe. They also have a very cool book wall that hides a door which was very impressive. Their toilets are worth a mention as they’re very clean and pretty stylish. Their venue space is great, really big and staff were really helpful with pointing out where to go.

Very good experience The atmosphere was very good, the food was also very good. The staff was super friendly and attencious. We had the cod and the duck, both very tasty and would definitely recommend! The price was slightly elevated, but I would still return.

A very nice steakhouse in the city of Leicester. Possibly the best steak in Leicester. On arrival we were shown to our table through a secret door in a book shelf. The food was perfectly cooked, full of flavour. They have a great selection of beers and cocktails. I'd definitely return back for the lamb chop.

This must be if not the best then one of the best Sunday brunch spots in Leicester(shire).. Nestled right in the heart of the city centre the venue itself is a stunning light and airy bar Bistro with as others have mentioned a secret door to the restaurant area. We had the Vegan brunch (we arent vegan) and it was devine!!! Amazing flavours.. baked beans better than heinz and the rest cooked to perfection. Service was tremendous thankyou Mariah and the team.. We will be back !!
