The
worst
food
I've
had
in
years!
My
partner
and
I
were
gifted
a
voucher
for
the
5
course
vegan
taster
menu
so
after
booking
in
for
a
Friday
night
off
we
went.
Staff
were
polite
and
friendly
and
it
wasn't
long
before
we
were
seated.
After
reading
the
reviews
we
were
really
looking
forward
to
the
food,
however
this
is
where
the
problems
began.
Virtually
every
dish
was
completely
bland
and
flavourless,
it's
as
if
the
chef
hadn't
ever
heard
of
herbs
and
spices.
I'm
generally
polite
and
don't
like
to
complain,
however
after
the
first
few
dishes
I
just
couldn't
go
on
pretending.
The
first
dish
was
a
red
pepper
soup,
literally
just
a
red
pepper
blended
and
served,
no
seasoning,
just
plain
red
pepper
that
left
a
bitter
aftertaste.
The
second
dish
can
only
be
described
as
baby
food,
it
was
a
mush
of
peas
and
beetroot.
Again
no
seasoning,
just
mush,
perfect
if
you
have
no
teeth
or
problems
chewing,
but
for
the
rest
of
us
it
needed
some
sort
of
texture.
Dish
three
was
fried
polenta
chips
in
some
sort
of
white
sauce,
I
say
that
because
it
had
no
flavour
at
all
it
just
looked
like
milk
with
no
taste,
even
the
chips
weren't
seasoned.
Dish
number
four
was
left
uneaten
it
was
so
bad.
Basically
a
stack
of
undercooked
aubergine
and
tomato
slices
with
a
bland
tomato
sauce.
At
this
point
the
waitress
asked
if
everything
was
okay
and
I
just
had
to
tell
her
the
food
was
tasteless.
Dish
five
was
a
tomato
stuffed
with
wet
couscous.
The
couscous
had
so
much
black
pepper
it
was
inedible,
this
dish
was
left
uneaten.
The
dessert
was
(drumroll
please...)
fruit
salad
with
a
few
bits
of
chickpea
meringue,
it's
as
if
the
chef
really
couldn't
be
bothered.
At
£45
a
head
I
don't
know
how
they
can
justify
the
price,
the
food
was
absolutely
terrible,
what
a
joke.
Thankfully
I
had
a
voucher
so
didn't
pay
for
the
food
but
if
that
wasn't
the
case
I
would
have
refused
to
pay.
Following
the
ordeal
I
took
the
time
to
email
North
and
raise
my
concerns.
I
wasn't
after
anything,
having
worked
in
the
food
industry
and
my
own
food
business
I
just
wanted
to
give
them
my
feedback
hoping
they
would
take
it
on
board.
The
response
I
got
was
let's
just
say
disappointing.
They
didn't
acknowledge
the
poor
food
and
if
anything
tried
to
make
out
that
the
chef
uses
herbs,
spices
and
seasoning
in
all
dishes
(not
the
case
on
this
occasion).
They
did
however
offer
to
give
a
discount
for
my
next
visit
to
North.
Thanks
but
I'll
respectfully
decline.
The
experience
was
so
bad
I
cannot
see
myself
ever
returning.
