Always guaranteed to have great service and food. The cocktails were flavourful and the dishes were definitely mouth watering and filling. Waiting times were average given that it was a busy day. Easy ordering and payments via the website. Suitable catch-up with friends over a meal or go on a date. Advance booking are recommended for large groups.

Disappointed by the quality of food and lack of flavour, burrito bowl was bland, the mocktail tasted like apple juice and was nothing special and although the restaurant was hardly busy we were seated near a group of drunken women who were rather loud and kept swearing. This was an unpleasant atmosphere for multiple families in the restaurant.

To be completely fair, it was my first time and it was also a Saturday night so it was quite busy, however, we got there and immediately got served our drinks but then had to wait another 30 minutes just to order starters, and then another 20 to order our mains, the food was delicious, hot and fresh, overall the food was high quality and the portions were big but it's a little bit expensive for me personally, so are the alcoholic drinks (they're average prices is £10 for a cocktail and the mains are average £16-£20) the atmosphere also was a big let down as it was quite loud and a little cramped. (I might change this review if I ever go back for lunch) Ultimately, the food is amazing, portions are big and tastes authentic, however the service was the biggest negative, it's just too slow, and the prices are a little expensive personally. If you want to try authentic Mexican/ south American cuisine with a lovely atmosphere at an affordable price range in Leicester, I'd recommend bodega cantina.

I normally like Las Iguanas and I have had many positive experiences there (Leamington Spa and Coventry), but this was not one of them. The service was slow but that's okay because they were understaffed. To begin with, our virgin piña coladas were not strong in their coconut or pineapple flavours. The Mexican poppadoms and fries were fine. However, the mains were too spicy, even for someone who's used to really spicy food. One was manageable (veggie enchiladas) and the other was inedible (no goat curry) because of the spice level. We sent it back after a few bites and didn't wanted it replaced but we still got charged for it. The churros were very delightful but the dulce de leche sauce was to runny. Atmosphere wise, the music was too loud though this expected for most restaurants now. I will probably go to Las Iguanas again, but will give the Leicester branch a miss.

From the entrance the staff was not interested in the customer, after 10 min at the table - we got a message that we should order online. Burger dish with cheese and chicken - meat not seasoned, sauce terrible fries tasteless and cold. No interest in the customer

This was supposed to be a nice birthday meal for a party of 7! Our server Liz didn’t acknowledge my birthday at all, no smile whatsoever & it felt like she didn’t want to be there. Flat awful atmosphere. Cocktails were buy one get one free but this seemed pointless as the glasses were tiny so it makes up one glass anyway. So this is absolutely null. Had to go upto the bar twice to get our own paper straws. We had to ask Liz twice to check with the chef regarding the chilli salt being left off the steak, she clearly doesn’t care about the customers at all. Food was overpriced & the portions on the fajitas were an absolute joke the cheese was tiny and came in a tiny pot half the size of a shot glass & barely covered two fajitas, my partner had to ask for more & we got the same tiny sizes! No steak knife was given either! This is not hearty Brazilian food this is an embarrassment to Latin America. Worst birthday meal I’ve ever had.

Ate as a family of five. Service is great here, Alistair, isabella and Jay are a great team. Cocktails are excellent highly recommend, food was good, did not have room for dessert. I would return for the service. There place is difficult is fine, but was worth it

Never been in one before so I wasn't sure if i would like it or not. Enchiladas were really tasty a bit too spicy for me but nevertheless I loved it. Followed by the Chocolate Brownie yummy!! Very friendly staff, very welcoming in. We would go again.

Lovely food, good choice on the menu, friendly helpful staff, not sure about the parking as I wasn't driving that day. The actual restaurant itself is nicely done.

It was busy when we came in but they fit us in without a booking so that was great. Was told to pay through the app which was fine and food arrived pretty quickly. I needed to charge my phone and they helped me do that which was much appreciated. Staff were nice and food was decent. 2 for 1 mocktails was a nice offer. Overall, a nice place for a meal :)

Just had our Team Christmas meal here. Place was empty and so lacked atmosphere. Hats instead of crackers?We felt cold throughout and some of team resorted to putting on their coats. Free chips were nice but sadly only 3 portions for a party of 10? 2 4 1 cocktails went down very well. Starters were fine and all mains were very good. Puddings - The truffle bar was sickly sweet and needed to smaller with a sorbet or ice cream scoop. Cheesecake was a hit. Would we return - possibly.

The food was pleasant, but the fajitas had hardly any flavour, no spice at all. At £21 for 4 small tortillas and a few bits of meat and very small dips it was also expensive. Ordered a side of chips so just over £4 and I got 4 chips. Yes 4 chips for just over £4. If this was a unique flavoursome meal the prices would make more sense but for a semi microwaved meal this wasn't great. The service was good however, staff are doing a great job, but I don't feel this place is good value for money, better places for better prices.

Food was not nice…massive confusion over where we could sit…had booked a table but even though there was only 2 other tables there besides us it took 15 minutes to get sat down and all of us were seated at a tiny booth (5),when asked if we can move the bartender said the other area was closed off because of a private party, asked another waitress if we could add another table to add on and she moved us straight to the area we were told was closed off as it was not in fact closed. Food was mediocre at best…and despite asking our server if the happy hour offer was available whilst using our discount and being reassured it would be we were charged at the end for 2 of each drink as they were not included on the offer Definitely would not go again

I was celebrating my 40th birthday and the staff were fantastic, we had bottomless brunch and they were on it and didn't leave us empty. I've found some places slow with service and purposely serve slower at these bottomless brunches, but the staff here were brilliant. The food was absolutely delicious also and was great value for money

Had a bottomless brunch,cocktails were great,food OK but very limited meau. Good for the money, but watch your bill as we were overcharged by a considerable amount.We noticed it & it was rectified. Apart from that value for money. x

Honestly one of the best places to eat in this city. Food was absolutely amazing and hot, atmosphere and place are immaculate and the staff are absolutely lovely. Good selection of meals. Not keen on spices myself but staff were happy to make adjustments. Friends were very impressed with meals from the menu. Drinks were well worth the price. Had a few share drinks between us which were all great. Only down point was the service charge auto added to the bill. But I never like that anywhere.

Some of the dishes we'd seen online had been changed due to seasonal availability. This was a shame as we had to relook and I was struggling to find something. We had Quesadillas and a mocktail but our lovely waitress Isabella brought cheesecake as it was my birthday. Lovely decor and excellent music

Booked for a large table 15+ Saturday evening. We were seated at the back and it was like a sauna! No air con or any breeze it was very uncomfortable. We pre ordered a few days before but two dishes were left out on the day which they made later and it was refunded in the end. All the drinks given were watered down and had no flavour, my friends had said the same thing that all their drinks tasted very watery. Food took a while which was understandable as we were a large table but honestly speaking, 70% of our table did not enjoy their food. Some had even not even touched their food after first bite. The curries and fajitas looked and tasted very dry and unappetising. The chicken burger was dry. I won’t be ever coming back to this place again…Expensive and disappointing food.

Lovely experience. Liz and Lewis were great and provided great service. The food was great and beautifully pared with the drinks on offer. We will definitely be dining again!

A nice restaurant with great service and lovely food. Especially helpful with regards to allergies! Excited to go back for Bottomless Brunch at some point. The only bugbear is that the two-for-one cocktails apply to getting two of the same.

Fajitas were lovely and the chunky chip things. No problem with the service.Agree with some comments about it being cold in there it really was and cocktails not tasting of any alcohol. Food and service was good tho i would definitely return.

Went for company Xmas night out for a total of 16 pax. Had a wonderful 3 courses menu for £27.95. I had chosen chicken meals and I can say that my starter is much better than my main dish. Anyhow, I made a great decision for the dessert.

Brilliant tasty food and 2 for 1 cocktails. Very busy! Can't get in without prior reservation. Delayed service though. Had to wait over half an hour for each order to come through. Waiters rushed off their feet and rushed through taking orders, getting it wrong. Wanted to give 3 stars but gave 4 because of food quality.

We came here last minute, we had tried to book onto the bottomless brunch but wasn't able. The woman on the welcome desk could of been more helpful suggesting we did the tapas offer, however we got there in the end... Our waiter was such a lovely bloke! So attentive and chatty. We had 4 x cocktails and 2 x tapas dishes. I have to say I don't really like chains and I was expecting it to be rubbish. We had gone not knowing Leicester and it was raining... I have to say it was not rubbish! It was surprisingly very good!! The tapas dishes were really substantial, I forgot to get photos however I had quesadilla and meatballs and was stuffed! I was going to have the fish but was hungry and thought it would be small...it wasn't it was actually substantial portions for the prawns and the squad. I would really recommend 👌

Had a lovely experience at iguanas. It's a great restaurant with a nice atmosphere and a traditional feel. We were served by Julia who did a fantastic job tending to our table, great service with a smile. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant, my only critique I thought the cocktails were very weak. After 4 I feel like I could still get in my plane and fly home.

Decent food and good service paired with a nice design - it was a bit chaotic, but the service really put some effort into it to make it a good experience. So eben out comes to the service it was ranging more between three and four stars

Met up with friends for a few drinks and had the cocktails as on offer but was disappointed with them to honest as where very strong in the alcohol department which not much else an over filled with ice. Yes it was 2 for 1 but would have expected full glasses with more flavour. Place was quiet and you had to get the attention of the staff to place orders etc even and none asked if everything was alright Okay if you want to get a few drinks in before going elsewhere

Great experience here today, the Manager and the team were very friendly and welcoming. The food was beautiful, definitely recommend the Cuban Sandwich! 😋 2for1 on all cocktails, which were made perfectly by Charlie behind the bar. Overall a fantastic experience. The team clearly have a fantastic leader and it shows in the service they provide.

Food was fantastic. I went for the Calamares starter and the Chicken Fajita stacks. The staff were all helpful, will definitely return.

Food good and fresh, but not the most staff during our visit. Very pleasant team working, but we could've probably got another 3/4 drinks if they were more attentive
