Main meal hadn't been cooked through with the melting camembert actually still solid and cold on the bottom, had it replaced 2 mins later with what looked like mine cut in half and microwaved quickly, presented on a plate, then we were presented with baby food central, apple crumble pie sundae... Ummm custard and apple sauce with squirty cream... No thanks

Good customer service in a nice pub / restaurant. Great place where you can eat and watch live sports and grab a drink at the same time. Food is nice and presented well, also good prices. They have brill deals on food and drinks on certain days of the week. Shots from £1. Also has a pool table 🎱 Parking is free outside.

Visited for the first time for breakfast, the service was really good and the food was hot and really nice. For the value for money portion I would give it a full five as well because it was a good size portion. Will definitely make this a go to for future morning outings and loads of parking spaces as well. It's not close to where we live but we met up with friends so was a midway point. The food is really underwhelming. I had a sunday roast beef dinner. The mash tasted awful. The selection of seasonal vegetables were peas and broccoli. The meat was tough and dry. There are no children's menus out. The whole pub whilst pleasant enough, could do with a deep clean.

Great pub unfortunately won't be able to go there again took my family to see what it was like on the 4/1/24 paid by credit card and it wasn't until the 8/1/24 they took money from my account this is how it goes according to the bank so that's not the problem we stayed for 30 minutes and never again As we have been nothing but harassed ever since by a company called parking eye they try to threaten you with a hundred pounds fine if you don't prove your innocence just for having one drink you get months of aggravation and threats from them so sorry to say won't be using the local hero again because of threats by parking eye

Had a meal here before the Tigers game. Prompt service and good food. Good for a standard pub menu. Atmosphere obv good. Large capacity to serve everyone. Will go again for sure.

Clean and welcoming. We went in the evening after an afternoon football match. Our drinks were served in plastic glasses even though the place was nearly empty. I understand why but not ideal.

Just had a birthday meal at the local hero first time we've visited the pub. Very big lots of space which i liked being in a wheelchair i could get around the place with ease no bumping into chairs, tables or people. Great disabled access nice clean radar key locked toilet. Ordered food for 5 of us which came to just over 60 pound which was very reasonable. Food came out nice and hot in good timing but sadly it didn't really warrant 5 stars it was just average run of the mill high turn over pub food. Not that that's the people running the place fault they are just trained to cook and serve the meals like that I suppose. Nice staff.

went here on Sunday 19.12.22 with some relatives who have eaten at this pub before without any complaint, was told 40 min wait which was ok, after over an hour went to ask where food was told it would be 5 min actually arrived 15 mins and was disgusting, we ordered 3 roast beef dinners, food cold, veg rock hard, instant mash dried up, roast potato's had just come out off the deep fat fried and were full of grease and the gravy looked more like chocolate custard. don't know if it was because it was so busy, but this is no excuse should have more staff, very dissapointed.

A great pub to chill and have some food at a very good price. The pub is large and has a nice atmosphere and even has a pool table. I would recommend this pub to anyone looking for some cheap food and a pint.

Went with a friend and had a good time. Lots of seating. Menu seems to have a lot of options but three dishes were out of stock, and I'm vegan so it really left me with very little to choose from. Went with nachos in the end, not bad as we were also there mainly for drinks. Bit average but the portion was fairly decent, not huge though and I know the profit margin on it is huge haha. Staff were okay, not particularly welcoming but then again I've been bar staff before at various places, and between bad management and bad customers you can't expect them to be glittering and full of joy, nor should someone expect that. Outside seating area is very nice. Decent location to other places nearby. I'd probably eat there again but not likely as I didn't even get to try the dishes I was interested in. My friend and I just had to settle for our second and third choices. Drinks prices are very steep, considering how often they're very busy you'd think they could pass down the savings 🙄. All in all a pleasant time, not bad, not outstanding.

Usually good... However, today, the Chef decided he couldn't cope and left the building causing an hours wait on meals and putting the rest of the staff under immense pressure... And a bad atmosphere caused by impatient diners(although we were all advised 45 mins wait when ordering...) ***I had fish chips and peas. It was very nice but the fish portion was looked like a child's portion(very disappointed) ***

Always came here as my go to pub as it never let me down when it came to food and the staff. However after coming today Im not sure that is still the case. All the staff seemed to have changed in the space of 2 weeks, The food we had was really late arriving. Some of the meat was overcooked, peas were cold and one of the eggs even had the shell in it. Im not sure whats gone on but its not the Local hero it once was.

Can't be bothered to complain about the food or service, but ask everyone beware the £60 fine that comes from not validating your parking. Clearly not the first to get stung. Naturally the pub says there are signs all over the carpark (which obviously everyone looks for in the dark.). But again no mention of needing to do this in the actual pub ? Perhaps they get a kick back. Anyway the place was not worth what we actually paid for it. Not interested in hearing from them either, unless they're actually going to give me my money back. I'd avoid it if I were you, we will.

Liked the new decoration of the interior and the atmosphere is good inside. Food is nice as well with plenty of offers

First time in here. I had the sizzling mixed grill. Very nice, didn’t dry out like sizzling meals can do. Staff really welcoming and cheery. Will be back when I’m in area again.

We had a meal here before seeing a show at De Montfort Hall. I chose a day when there were no sporting fixtures in Leicester, however, I wasn't aware that this was a sports bar before we visited so it got rowdy when the football was on. The food was good, the service was excellent. I'd visit again but it would at lunch time on a weekday so it's quieter

Always drop in here on my visits to Leicester. Staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Venue has recently been through a refurbishment which has really smartened the property up. The General manager has a cracking team working under him. May there be many more visits to come. Highly recommended

Good menu choices and decent prices. Good service. Philly cheese steak, mexican steak, fish and chips, Jamaican stew and burgers are all good. Don't get caught out by the car park, you get 4 hours for free if you register your reg inside. .

Nice pub much bigger after renovation staff are polite and friendly. Food is good never disappoints. Although they’re wing challenge has let down this review as before the renovation the wing challenge came in separate dishes for each flavour. Now they’re all on one tray and the flavours are almost all mixed together so is all totally spicy and can’t taste the different flavour of wings anymore. Other than that great family pub always reliable when delivering food.

Great food, and well priced. A lot of different things to choose from too. The staff are friendly, polite, and seemed happy. I went there with 7 members of my family and we had a great afternoon, we'll definitely be coming back soon.

Popped in here on Sunday lunch on the spur of the moment. I have to say the experience was one of the best I have had. There were 4 adults and a 4 year old. Two of us had the Sunday Lunch with Roast Beef which was perfectly cooked and the beef melted in the mouth. Another had Fish & Chips and this too was delicious whilst the final adult had a stacked burger which went down very well. Our 4 year old had rice, corn on the cob and sausages...he said the sausages were the best he has ever tasted and that from a fussy eater. All in all it was a lovely Lunch and we will most certainly come again . Well Done .

The excitement felt knowing I'm coming here is electric. I come here on matchdays and the odd non match day. The level of customer service is so high, whatever day or how rammed they are. I have never walked into a pub and felt like it's home. The atmosphere is amazing and has gotten even better over the years. The dj and outside bar on match days is phenomenal It just brings everyone together. The food is always cooked to perfection, whatever you ask for its always hot and sizzling. it's absolutely delicious.

Solid pub with really reasonable prices. Food is really decent for the dollar so well worth a visit. Was fast service today and pleasantly busy.

Today me and 18 other family members attended for Christmas Day Dinner. We were greeted and shown to our table, which was laid beautifully. The service was quick, no orders were messed up. Nothing was to much trouble. The staff were bubbly and friendly, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Thankyou so much we will be booking again, the food was lovely and the portions were massive. The kids could be kids too. The prices and menu was fab great selection. Merry Christmas.
