Nice weatherspoons with a great layout. Obviously drinks and food are cheap. Decor is nice with an upstairs and downstairs.

The quietest of the Wetherspoons in the city centre and the one you'll have the best chance of finding a seat. Plenty of space over two floors. There's also a few benches outside by the canal - not many places in town have any outdoor seating so that's not too bad. The exterior of the building is impressive but inside is nothing special, a bit dingy and packed full of fruit machines and sport screens. Staff have always been pleasant enough.

Good pub with plenty of space. Real ales including guest. Slightly noisy when busy as open acoustics. Toilets upstairs, pretty clean. Food usual weathers offering, cooked Well, served promptly, excellent value. Good for meeting place before foray into town.

Good Wetherspoon’s pub by the canal. Good atmosphere but can be sometimes busy on match night’s. Visited during lunch and dinner times Friendly food and service and meals and drinks are brought to your table quickly. Would recommend.

Easy going family pub. Southern fried chicken wrap with a few chips were delicious. Good atmosphere. A great place to meet friends, no music blaring out so you can talk freely, this is how it was at lunchtime, I haven't been at night but I believe it closes quite early, 9ish?.

Not great, not terrible. Very spacious with toilets located upstairs. Can get incredibly busy on weekends but mostly a barren wasteland on weekdays. Brilliant location along with the other canalside pubs and bars.

Staff are very welcoming. The place has lots of space and social distancing within the government guidelines is possible. lots of tables outside for drinking and eating minimising airborne. I felt very relax having a drink in this place. I would go there again in the evening around 8 at night.

Great place to go where you can talk without being drowned out by music. A lovely atmosphere and the phone app makes it perfect for me. I just order what I want and before I know it a friendly face is bringing it to my table!! No standing at the bar for 10 minutes being ignored and queue jumped. The food is always mouth watering and very good value.

Large open interiors with very accommodating staff. Food was nice and the obvious calorie counts on the menus were very helpful. Only gripe would be that considering how big the interior is, the tables are tiny. Not much room for your legs.

One of the nicer wetherspoons around. Rarely too busy so you can usually get a table easily and fairly quick service at the bar, although it does get very busy when there is a match on as there are multiple large screens for people to watch. Quite nice for the end of a walk as it is on the canal.

Went in for lunch, burger was over cooked and burnt. My husband has a guide dog, I showed him to the toilets and got told I couldn't stand by the toilets and had to go to my seat... I explained I had to wait for my husband cause he is registered blind and wouldn't be able to find his seat, got told again I had to sit down and I had to explain a second time... I understand there are extra measures in place but you need to use some common sense in certain situations... I shouldn't have to tell someone twice that I have to escort someone who is blind to there seat, they were just rude and unhelpful. I won't be returning again.

Watch the Bar Staff with your Money, my Bill was £5.59 for lunchtime drink & snack, gave her a £20 note and she then gave me change for £10 note, there was an issue where the till was counted...don’t know how someone could get mixed-up between a paper £20 and, plastic £10 note? Happily was given correct change finally! Nice food + drink however, but wasn’t a very pleasant experience.... (midday Monday 23rd. September 2019).

👍👍 Absolutely amazing! I went to have lunch on my graduation day with my friends. Food was very flavourful and cocktails were nice. Special dietary options are available and you always get 2-4-1 cocktails. Service was really friendly and approachable. Ambience and music is just cherry on top.
