Lovely place, location is great for Leicester City Centre, just a short walk from the train station. Great Vege choice! Tasty food! Service was good.... Bit of a catch with the whole "Leicester Food Week" voucher, so we ended up not using it. Nice otherwise.

What a lovely find! Passing through Leicester we stopped at this veggie restaurant whose tagline is “Where the guest is God”; very apt, as the servers were just delightful and couldn’t do enough to be helpful and courteous. Incredible interior and delicious food - some of the best Dosas we had had! All the curries were delicious and overall a good value. Can highly recommend.

Highly recommended. All vegetarian menu. We had the "Slim Thali" which was a great way of trying out different dishes, and a panner dosa, with a starter. It was enough food for 3 people rather than 2, but we gave it our best shot. Super friendly staff too.

We stopped at Herb as it claimed to be a specialist Vegan Restaurant. However, although they have some vegan options, it was certainly not as advertised being pure Vegan. Other vegetarian restaurants also have vegan options. Notwithstanding this, the food we did order was very tasty and well presented, staff and service excellent, lovely environment and clean. Just wished we could have had a wider choice of vegan options. Would still highly recommend, as being a vegan family for over 7 years, we are always happy to see veganism being promoted. Well done, and keep it up.

The best restaurant in Leicester. Very welcoming staff and a cosy feel to the place. The food is absolutely amazing! Every dish I had was full of flavour, well cooked and I haven't been disappointed by anything that has come out of the kitchen there. I love this place... and if you want to experience fantastic flavour combinations and authentic cuisine from southern India then Herb is the place to go. And finally, how can you not love a restaurant which has a Royal Enfield motorcycle on display representing the Anglo-Indian relationship? Just brilliant!

As a tourist to Leicester it was the first time that I have visited this restaurant tonight ( Friday) and what a treat it has been. The service was top notch, the waiters and waitresses were warm and welcoming and the food, well how can I put this other than artistically served. The colours and flavours were so delicious. I had a great experience toped off with a cocktail next door with my lovely family. I will remember Herb 🌿 for a long time. Thank you for your kindness.

This is a most wonderful Vegan restaurant I've ever been to. The decor and atmosphere was lovely, the staff accommodating and attentive and the food...OMG! The food was varied and absolutely awesome. Do not miss this restaurant if you happen to be in Leicester.

This is one place in leicester where once youve been here you wil go again and again why as there moto says," atthithi devo bhavah". This restaurant has amazing food, portions are huge. Staff is so humble and polite, the atmosphere is just magic. Plenty of parking around the corner from the restaurant. You HAVE to try them.

Traditional South Indian Pure Vegetarian Restaurant. Serving the best tasty idli, dosa, Utapam and thali. Very reasonable in price to dine out. Lots of choices on the menu. Great atmosphere with attentive service. Lunch time menu is so cheap to dine in for a thali.

The Herb is more of a vegan restaurant than a typical vegetarian restaurant in a very nice area of Leicester. There are many restaurants of a similar standard situated around the same area. The ambiance of the place is really Nice and the variety of vegan/ Herb enriched food is really good. It's a good restaurant for a change.

All vegetarian and delicious! The food was packed with flavours: typical South Indian cuisine. Rasam was perfect balances of spices and flavours. The roti made from rice: dosa, appam and kallappam were so different from each other. A lovely delight and culinary adventure!

Brilliant authentic Indian cuisine and amazing vegan options. Staff were very polite and the decor was relaxing. I enjoyed the Chilli Idli as the flavour was just bursting from every bite. The dosa was large enough to share with a friend.

One of the best curries I've had in years! I went for the aubergine and paneer curry which was perfectly spiced and full of flavour. I'd also recommend the delicious dosas and batura bread. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff were very attentive.

Having dined at Kayal regularly, we decided to give Herb a try, as everyone in our group is vegetarian. The restaurant itself looks amazing and is so well decorated. As expected, the food here was incredible. The range of dosas is so impressive. The staff here go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Maya was our server, she was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. 10/10 would recommend, we are definitely coming back.

Great restaurant! Food was absolutely delicious, portions massive and reasonably priced. We had the thali and a paneer dosa, as well as the pre meal snacks (highly recommend those!). So many different flavours! They also have a weekday lunch offers which sound like great value for money.

Beautiful ambience, Friendly staff & good food. It's a nice place to visit & experience authentic Kerala food. Sometimes it's busy so better to call in advance and book a table if you don't want to wait. Staff will frequently come and ask is everything okay, it's Indian hospitality. Please don't feel differently about it. I like the way they do it. In some restaurants, we have to wave our hand too many times. But here they will come and ask you. It's a collective service here. It means you may have all the staff come to your table in different times while they are serving others.

We had the lunchtime Thali (the "Business Lunch") and it was very, very good with several veg curries, beetroot rice a dhosa with chutneys - incredibly good value. We also had the chilli paneer and an ada pradhaman for pudding - lovely! We were only visiting Leicester for two days and tried to sample as much delicious Indian food as possible, we will certainly remember the lovely Keralan flavours at Herb.

Drove up to Leicester to visit Herb just for their dosa and the drive was worth it. On arrival, we were greeted at the door and shown to a table. Moments later, a waiter came and took us the menus. As a vegetarian restaurant, they had a wide selection of food, as much as I’d love to try everything on the menu, the portions are large so you’ll definitely be stuffed after one dish. We ordered the idli as starters and went for dosa for mains. The Idlis were good size, I would have like to have a bit more samba but it was delicious. As a massive fan of paneer, I went for the paneer dosa and my girlfriend went for the masala dosa, we both struggled to finish lol. I would have liked a bit more spice but I understand not everyone likes spice but never the less, they were amazing. As it’s Dosa fest, all dosas are £4.95, I’m not sure how long the offer is on for.

Nice place for South Indian Food lover. We went for Team Lunch and got a Business Thali offer for approx 6 Pounds (GBP). Getting something such of such taste,quality and quantity looked almost impossible.

Wow! Herb was amazing! We had the thali and would highly recommend. A mix of curry dishes served with rice and puri - all of the curry’s were so full of flavour and completely different from one another. We will be going back and trying some of the other dishes because there was so much choice for vegans! Our server, Gopika, was so friendly and kept topping us up with water throughout the meal.

Looking for a lunch spot with a friend and found Herb. We had the £4.95 Dosa offer, which is available from 12.00 to 5.00 every day ( i think🤔) I started with the soup-cumin and coriander- hot and very tasty. We chose the masala dosa and the paneer dosa. Both were absolutely delicious, well stuffed with generous portions of filling. The Dosa comes with 3 chutney that compliments the meal. The decor of the restaurant is great, carved wood panels, low lights, chunky wood tables. You dont feel like you are in Leicester, you feel transported away. Absolutely great spot, less than 10mins walk from the train ststion. I will definitely visit again.

Absolutely delicious food in beautiful, relaxed surroundings. Visited today for the thalis and we were blown away by the portion sizes and high quality. There's something for everyone, from simple budget lunches to really lavish celebration meals. Lovely service, too.

I went into Leister today with my sister, her friend and my niece (we’re from Nottingham) and we went to eat here The atmosphere is so lovely The staff are very friendly and welcoming The decor is amazing The food is absolutely delicious!!! And I’d definitely recommend this place to go to! (Its also a bit pricey but trust me, its worth it😉)

Lovely food, good service, eclectic decor. Did lunch with daughter. both happy with our meal. Will go again. Only nit pick is that water tastes funny in those copper tin cups. I'll ask for a glass next time.

Great decor for selfies, delicious food and a varied menu and fantastic for vegans although you definitely don't miss out, so meat eaters, please don't be put off. Can I also recommend the cocktail bar next door, it was amazing and had a extensive list of drinks

Delicious food, so many vegan options!! Lovely atmosphere, the restaurant has a beautiful interior with some stunning decor. Very clean high quality facilities. The staff were very friendly, I really appreciated the lengths they went to so I felt comfortable, as someone who rarely eats out due to anxiety.

The service and restaurant looks very nice but the food wasn't absolutely amazing! It was different to normal Indian restaurants and a lot of coconut based dishes (which I don't like). The masala dhosa was the best but it was soft because we ordered the nairi which has a chutney inside. The mogo is also nice but I don't reccomend the vara, they look like and taste like savoury donuts. The chana masala and bhatura tasted okay but bhatura was oily, despite being really big! The drinks menu is really nice and my dad loved their choice of wines. And I loved their cocktails and fresh juices! Very South Indian and different!

Wow, this place is incredible! I was visiting Leicester on business and researched this restaurant on TripAdvisor. I didn't recognise anything on the menu, so if asked my waitress Teena what she recommended. She suggested Pollichathu with puffy batura bread. Both were absolutely delicious. Thank you Teena! I will be back.
