Wonderful place, great ambience, attentive and friendly service, reasonably priced and really excellent food with generous servings. We had chilli paneer, chicken, aubergine , dosas and rice. We went again to this restaurant recently and would still rate it as 5 stars like last time. Great salted lassi, Crispy dosas, super idli and variety of tasty chutneys and sambar. The chicken with coriander and aubergine curry were excellent. The staff obliged us with plain dosa which was not on the menu. The owner and waiting staff are very welcoming, courteous and professional. The table were disinfected between customers. The food as always...amazing and reasonably priced. All in all a great experience made special with good food and great service. I would thoroughly recommend especially for lovers of South Indian food. Amravati needs to expand to larger premises

A good place to go for authentic South Indian cuisine to try out on Belgrave Road. We had veg thalli and Mutton Gongura both are absolutely delicious and lamb is perfect cook. The portion for the price I felt is moderate to expensive, but taste is worthy. The place has dine in, takeaway options. The food and ambience are both great. The only negative I felt is that it is cash only, no cards are accepted. The toilets are also not great and they are not accessible friendly. Otherwise I would give 5.

Amazing South Indian Food. We ordered Vegetarian Thali it tasted very good. After a long time felt like having proper south indian food outside. It had Dosa/Parotta(Choose 1), Rice, Payasam, Appalam, 1 starter, 1 Poriyal, Sambar, Rasam, Puli kuzhambu, Curd. Everything tasted very good!

A great little find. Good atmosphere and some excellent dishes. Definitely recommend. 09/05/22 Came back after some time and was not disappointed. The owner/chap that manages front of house was super friendly and attentative to all the customers. Service was spot on and the food was excellent. We had Chilli Pan er, Prawn 65, Cheese Dhosa and a few others. Would definitely recommend as one of Leicester's finest South Indian Restaurants.

Do not eat here. We were served gone off passion fruit juice which smelt like alcohol and then we were asked to pay for the drinks... Reckless, careless and they didn't feel like it was a big deal to serve a pregnant lady gone off fruit juice. If you are concerned about your health then please do not eat here as they use the worst, most cheap cooking oil. Spend your money elsewhere. I wouldn't even give it 1 star but google review wouldn't let me post this review unless I gave it a star...

The masala dosa is one of the best food options in Leicester - homely, hearty and consistently good. I have been eating at this restaurant for a number of years and have never been disappointed with the masala dosa - the potato filling is morish (I wish there was more of it) and the chutneys and sambar to complement the dosa immerse the taste buds with signature south Indian flavours. Another favourite is the Hyderabadi lamb dum biryani - beautifully balanced with the right amount of spice, fried onions and garam spices, complimented by raita and the often overlooked boiled egg. Each bite reminds me of my grandmother's biryani, a nostalgic trip that always leaves me satisfied afterwards. Some of their curries might not be to taste if you are used to north Indian/British Indian restaurant style curries, but they stick to their region and there's a few interesting dishes that you won't find in most places - try the lamb Chettinadu if you're feeling adventurous.

The food is always excellent at this place. The biggest let down is how filthy the door leading towards the wash basin, the wash basin itself and the men’s toilet. This is an eating place and the hygiene is disgusting. I hope this will be taken care off. As soon as is it will change this review to a 5 star.

I had a very bad experience, as I loved the food previously I have visited again, for this time it is worst food and totally unhygienic. Both my friend and I got hair in the food. When asked about it, the manager blames it on us, saying we put the hair in the food The chef is not using any hair cap , mask , and we got hair in food for 2 times in a row now, and they are I don’t recommend this restaurant.

First time here and absolutely loved everything from service to food to atmosphere, ambience and all! Really enjoyed a night out with family and friends. Great attention and service from all the staff including the manager himself. Thank you.

We were so hungry and Me and my family went to this restaurant thinking it is a great restaurant. But we were completely wrong. Food was not that great, Very unclean Tables, Very dirty Toilets. Toilets were disgusting. Looks like they were not bothered yo clean it for days. Not only they over charge me for a bowl of rice around £3.50. I strongly recommend check your bill. We suppose to get 4 Pisces of Parota and they only gave us 3 Pisces. overall it was a worst experience.

A perfect place to taste some authentic South Indian cuisine . The taste is good and spicy. We tried several dish and it turned out to be good. It's located off the main Street. Parking at site is not available. Side street parking is best. Good chilli was a disappointment. But others were good This place serves alcohol too.

Best South Indian restaurant in the UK that I’ve been to in the last 3 years. We had a great experience here, excellent hospitality as well. Parotta, Dosa, Thali were great, especially the thali was amazing. It’s unlimited and they ask us for more rice themselves repeatedly. Chicken gravy with non veg meals was fantastic. Reasonable price. However, we didn’t like the chicken biryani very much. Kaara kozhambu was sweet. My favourites in the UK are this one and Vaibhavam in Birmingham. Negatives: - no card payments - toilet is shared with the adjacent restaurants - Biryani wasn’t great

Amazing delicious food in a cosy and warm setting. The manager or owner was so friendly and went out of his way to serve us. I went with a few friends and they absolutely loved the food too. Super portions and very tasty! Highly recommend!

Visited on Diwali Lights switch on day. The place was really busy but they managed to fit us in. The mysore masala dosa was delicious, as were the curries, rice and naan bread we had for mains. Very friendly service and good value for money authentic south Indian food.

Had dosa masala, cheesy dosa, chicken tikka and mogu chips. Food was yummy. Dosas are super crispy , chicken was super flavoured but not too hot. Love it. Place is tiny, we were lucky to get the table on Saturday night. Recommend the place.

I had chicken biryani and lamb biryani in the restaurant and it was very tasty. I can clearly feel the taste of Indian spices. The table beside me were talking to the owner very rudely even though he is talking very calm and the way they came to the cash counter and complaining about the dish is really creepy. I really appreciate the staff patience towards the customer even though the customer is talking rude. Really impressed by their service. Loved to be there again
