I often use Premier Inns when on rail based holidays and I selected this hotel because of its proximity to the railway station. It was very convenient for the station and the city centre. The weakness of this hotel is the room layout. My room had a door to the adjoining room. The door was thin and failed to act as soundproofing. On two nights different sets of occupants next door kept up noisy conversations and played music far into the night. If the room had solid walls and no door it would have been fine. As it was, I was sleep deprived the next day. So, on balance, I would advise against using this particular Premier Inn.

I was strangely excited to stay here because I thought I would have a great view over the city. Unfortunately I got a third floor room with a view onto an office block. After the crushing disappointment of that (nobody's fault, obviously) everything was fine. The decor of the room felt dated, but it was very clean, warm and quiet. For the price, it was a bargain, and the breakfast was generic but good.

Great location near the station and excellent service from the staff. Room was clean and very quiet (on the 9th floor). Good breakfast, decent price - what more could you want?

The room was clean, and the beds comfortable. However 2 night stay was incredibly basic, and wasn't ideal for disabled people. The car park was not free, like advertised on the website, and it was a nightmare. There were solid pillars all over the place, including the disabled bays. Which only had room on one side. Which isn't good when you have more than one disabled person with you. We were placed on the 12th floor, and the lifts were extremely busy. You often had to wait for them. There were not enough lifts for the traffic they got. They were also very slow, and stopped often when they didn't need to. The shower was inside the bath, so our disabled people couldn't shower. There was also no bath mat. Our toilet was also stained really weird on the seat. Our rooms were also not together. Which was a small detail, but with everything else made things a little trickier.

I stayed there for one night in a double room with queen size bed. It cost me 50 pounds but the check in time is 3pm. If you want to checkin early then you need to pay 10 pounds extra. The location is nice and next to the station and walking distance to city center. It is open 24/7. The room was clean also. You can not open windows in the room. There is inbuilt AC and heater, you can adjust the temperature from 18 to 30 degrees. There was bath tub as well. But the cupboard was open. Moreover there was a strange pillar in my room, not sure what was that. There is TV in the room but there is no intercom. I didn't book the breakfast.

The hotel may well be nice to stay in but if you visit, our friends were staying there, I would suggest parking somewhere else, the Railway Station car park is close by. We parked and paid the charge, £3, by entering vehicle reg under in reception but still received a £60 parking ticket some weeks later! We paid this, otherwise it increases to £100, even though we had proof the £3 was taken from our bank, but we challenged it and was successful in our challenge and were promised our £60 back, we never got it! We then took the company, who run the car park on behalf of the hotel, to small claims court and they challenged us saying they had sent us a cheque which hadn't been cashed, believe that you'll believe anything! It was going to cost us more money then to challenge them so reluctantly we cut our losses as we had spent £23 in court fees and clearly they have deeper and more dishonest pockets than us. Our friends come to Leicester to stay in this hotel often but we now park elsewhere and I would suggest others do the same might cost more to park but might well save you a lot of money and aggravation afterwards.

Fast check-in & check-out experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Superb location: just by the side of the train station and only couple of minutes walk from the city centre. There are local supermarkets, coffee shops, food, snack shops and restaurants in very close proximity of the hotel. The rooms are pretty clean and tidy, however, the bathroom was a little bit outdated. The beds were comfortable and completely fine even for longer stays. On-site food and drink facilities and 24 H front desk are also at disposal of the travellers, therefore I can recommend this place for short- and medium length stays.

This place is dangerous and dirty. I booked a room at Premier Inn Leicester City for my mother and auntie. Their room was broken into by a stranger while they were still in the room. Staff at reception had given out a room key without consent and a strange woman was able to freely roam the halls then take the key and open their room while staff was present. My mother and auntie had to barricade their room that night as they are older ladies and feared having to fend off another intruder. I am furious this happened to my family. Janice Bignell at Whitbread group, the owner of Premier Inn has denied responsibility and thought a free breakfast would fix the trauma. They also lied during their investigation which is a huge red flag, which means reputation is more important than customer safety.

The woman on the check in desk was friendly and helpful. The following day when I requested more coffee pods she delivered them to my room because she didn't have any immediately to hand. There was plenty of spare milk, tea and coffee sachets in the reception area. The room was very quiet until you opened the window but the hotel is on a main road so it's to be expected. However the room was cool enough even in warm weather. Lovely complimentary toiletries provided. Great view over the city. WiFi fast enough to stream Netflix. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe. I stayed in Premier Plus room 906

Only positive on this hotel was location nothing more. Parking with very limited number of lots, one of two very slow elevators does not work for two days (only one to garage). Rooms are worn out and not so clean and sou cannot open window to get fresh air, if you want to clean them you need to ask on reception but no one is usually there 🤷🏼‍♂️ worst hotel i have ever been in Leicester. To finish postively only madam on breakfast was really nice 👍🏻

Good place to stay because in the city centre. There were some disadvantages. Staff nice, but often nobody in a reception and you need to use a bell or check in on your own. I had a reservation for 2 adults, but towels were only for 1. It wasn’t checked that a body liquid and conditioner almost have run out and when I was taking a shower I was surprised when I didn’t have any to wash myself. The similar problem was with toilet paper as tissues, poor quality. A Supervisor should check rooms before customer gets a key room.

Room was clean, but my beef about Premier Inn now is that they don't service the rooms anymore unless you are staying 5 nights plus. At least this is what Premier Inn Leicester (LE1 1AA) Reception told us upon on arrival Sunday March 19th for our 3 night stay. The website implies you have to request room being serviced at Reception which is what I did. Why did the T&C's say to request room servicing but not mention it was only applicable to 5 nights + ?.....The receptionist said she'd put us on the list but that was their policy. Sure enough there was no attempt at room service. My objection to this is because I haven't chosen to self cater....I did not take with me the means to clean the crockery or indeed the toilet had it needed it!.....I did still give the stay 4 out of 5 stars as it is just a niggle but it does wind me up. The shower door in room 1012 is faulty too. It must be on a slight slope so comes away from being closed whilst you are in the shower. I had to be sure the water jet faced the wall so as not to soak the entire bathroom though the opening door. It was a very quiet room being at the very end of the corridor and plenty natural daylight. Could do with more storage areas as there was only 1 large draw and 1 small beside draw but plenty of space to have added more. We did buy the evening meal and breakfast deal for 1 evening meal and 1 morning breakfast. It's not a bad deal and food tastes fine.

Rooms have been improved to a newer modern look. Definitely a good stay. Excellent facilities and a bar downstairs. Excellent security preventing unauthorised access to the lifts. Friendly staff always willing to help.

Couldn't fault it location right next to the station, staff really friendly, rooms were spotless plus the shower is powerful! Not to mention breakfast was on point highly recommend. Best branch I've been to so far. Don't need to mention the bed. Every premier Inn bed is sooo comfortable, top marks from me :)

Clean and comfortable and great location. I loved my top floor view. Service was personal and friendly, especially Colin on check-in desk, struggling with IT issues with key cards. He still managed with a wide smile. Special thanks to Bony for lovely breakfast service. I felt I'd made a new friend. So kind and helpful getting to know us over the weekend. Many thanks🙏

One step up from a park bench. Rooms were filthy (My daughter had black soles of her feet after running about on the carpet). Our towels had holes in. We had to ask for loo roll because there wasn’t any in our room. Walked in to an empty restaurant and told there were no seats available…. There we 18 empty tables… not given a reason why or an alternative place to eat, just computer says no…. go figure. On the plus side we had windows and curtains in our room so that was nice.

AVOID!! Absolutely filthy. Wish I could find the option to post photos and videos. No remorse to rectify the fact that we had been given such a dirty room, instead just moved into a smaller room just as bad. At least the second one has toilet roll!! Told to go get our towels from the first room on floor 11 and take them to the second room on floor 12. No apologise or shame just made to feel like we had inconvenienced them. If it wasn’t a business trip I would head straight back home.

Rooms were great, clean and comfy. My only complaints are the lifts (which seem to have a mind of their own) and the breakfasts which were pretty bad. Bacon was mostly cooked under the hot lamps, rubber eggs, deep fried black pudding sat in oil. Plenty of places for food round the corner so I'd stay again just for the rooms.

I stayed with my 3 year old son for 3 nights. Disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom, very dirty, with signs of use and an unpleasant smell. I cleaned it myself so we could use it. I asked them to come clean it twice, someone came the second day but it was still dirty, it looks like they only changed the garbage bags. Cleaning and replacement was not done daily, we had no coffee and no paper in the bathroom. Free internet only on the first day. Meals are good. The rest of the room is fine. Great location. Heating works. The morning staff in the restaurant are friendly and available, I can't say the same for some in the evening.

Happy with the location. The room was a nice size and was clean except for one of the bathtub handles being full of mould on its underside. The mattress was super soft, not my preference but comfortable. Wouldn't recommended the restaurant as you can find similar microwave meals for cheaper elsewhere.

First time stay at this city centre hotel. Overall, the experience wasn't too bad to middling. Service - was the only major positive Decor - tired, dated and needs an overhaul Food - barely edible and avoid if you can Facilities - as standard when working Ambience - okay if for a short stay My room negatives - dripping taps, room TV reception barely viewable, cold room, tired decor, weak wifi

A nice comfortable and clean room with a good shower. I had a good sleep. Breakfast was good with a special mention to Paula in the restaurant, she was very helpful. I will definitely stay here again when in the area

The outside of the hotel looks a bit dodgy, but honestly the inside looks really quite nice. Proves you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. We checked in, and got up to our room, not expecting anything great, but honestly the room was spectacular, it was very spacious, it has a big double bed, and a desk with a huge tv on the wall. The bed was very comfortable. We didn’t have any issues with noise, or disturbance or anything. It was beautiful.

Really cannot fault my stay at Premier Inn The service was great staff could not have been any better. Food was really good and at a reasonable price. My room was clean and comfy had all the amenities I required hairdryer TV kettle, coffee and tea. Towels and hand wash shower gel .

On arrival, the receptionist had a poor attitude and a miserable face. Great start! Then up in the lift to the 9th floor. Room was very clean and a nice room with all amenities. Went to look out the window, but they don’t open!!! I like fresh air and also the net curtain fell on my head. Every time I wanted to smoke had to go back down outside, but my fault because I smoke. In the morning in reception there were 3 cyclists with their bicycles repairing them where people were trying to walk!!!! Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Had to ask for more toilet roll. Then had to ask at bar for more T bags, only to be met with the same receptionist with the poor attitude and miserable face, who thought it was more important to carry on put glasses away than attend to a customer. The lift kept stopping at reach floor so the cleaners coukd drag all their bags in!! Not good, they should use a service lift and not hold guests up. In the end we packed our bags and left a night early. Premier Inn: Do not use staff who obviously do not want to offer a friendly greeting and be in this kind of profession because I won’t be coming back!!!

I use the premier inn a lot for work reasons. It's always clean and tidy in the rooms and the staff are lovely. However, the facilities in the room don't always work well, the pillows are hard and always leave me with neck ache and there are times when you go to speak to staff and no one is at the front desk. Generally it's a decent enough place to sleep but my last stay their was a large group of people who were drinking excessively and it led to broken glass in the lift and me feeling so intimidated I didn't even eat in the restaurant instead choosing to stay in my room. They can't be responsible for the clientele, but all I can say is its left me feeling anxious about my next stay.

We stayed a couple of nights in the hotel, and ate there one night. The hotel is about a minute from the train station, and is perched on the corner of the main shopping precinct. This meant we were at most 5 minutes from the high Street. Check in was a doddle, and very welcoming. We arrived early, but that didn't deter the receptionist from checking us in. As anticipated, the rooms were spotless, well supplied and very comfortable. My back always feels better after a couple of nights in a Premier Inn! We ate in the restaurant that evening. The food was the standard fare you would expect in a large chain hotel, but quite delicious. Service as anticipated was first rate. The fabled Premier Inn breakfast was excellent. Lots of food to choose from, served as their famous breakfast buffet. The food was succulent (not dry as can sometimes happen), and the service perfect. Having stayed in a number of Premier Inns across the UK, we did know what to expect. However, amongst all those we have stayed at, Leicester is the best one yet.

Booked the Premier Inn Premier room and very nice too, overall. However a room booked for two for two nights only had one shower towel and one hand towel between two of us. One teabag each and minimal milk. Reception supplied additional items. Breakfast had some items missing on our first breakfast morning. Second morning a good selection.

Basic, but gigantic room, that I had to share with a very weird random pillar :-) (not its not a closet, i walked around it and tried to open it, wondering what the hell this was) Pillar is just standing there and is not in the way nor taking up much room, just is strange. It was very clean. Good bed. Nice view from 7th floor. Friendly staff. Nice bar. Didnt have breakfast but absolutely worth the money i spent. You cant be closer to the trainstation. Will absolutely stay again.

the room was up to the standard as expected of premier inn and the staff were helpful but looks like they overcharged me for 1 night parking, had to pay £10 as I was in a bit hurry but when I checked it later in the website it say £5 for night so no clue what went wrong there. The breakfast was good and the staff were helpful

Great location to stay. Only a minute away from train station and town centre. It is not pricy. Big thank for the staff. They don't have "NO" in their mouth. All requests have "YES" with a big smile. Also, they are quite helpful for the public. I've never seen that they rejected any person need help even from residents or public

Perfect place to stay for a trip to a concert at the De Montfort Hall. Very comfortable beds and clean rooms. You can usually expect a great breakfast too. I've stayed in a few Premier Inns, but this one was slightly better than others in all areas - especially breakfast.

Another great stay here, I've lost count how many times I've stayed over the years. Never disappointed. Very close to the railway station and there's a large station car park to the rear of the hotel.

I arrived at the hotel around 12ish as I suffer with vertigo and wasn't feeling great. Sat in the bar area as I knew I couldn't check in till 3. Spoke to Danielle about how I was feeling and she kindly managed to check me in alot earlier and even bought my luggage upto my room for me. She went above and beyond to make sure I was ok

Another PremierInn. Good city centre location. Parking underneath hotel - £5 a night. Don’t go into the NCP car park next door. Friendly efficient staff. It’s a big hotel - 12 floors and the lift system is not good. 2 slow lifts on a busy evening leaves you hanging around for 5 mins!! Rooms are typical. Comfy bed, tidy bathroom. No iron and ironing board but they are available at reception. Good breakfast. Good but not great.

Stayed in Premier in every place we go around the country, however this area not so safe to walk around, parking is ridiculous (I am aware of the warning that there is no so many parking places) but having +180 rooms +10/15 staff but have 12 car parks is a massive difference. We paid for the parking as referred in the entrance of the parking bays and then we moved the car to get out for dinner coming back to parking being all gone, and we had to park In the station +£13. I brought it to reception attention that this is what happened and she said we don't suggest customers to pay before parking so no refund etc. Miscommunication all the way. Stay was OK our hotel view on the 9th floor was looking into other backbuildings.

Great location as only a 2 minute walk from train station and shops. Amazing staff, nice spacious room, delicious breakfast with a great variety of things to choose from. Only reason for 4 stars is the squeaky beds, which if you're a light sleeper and tend to toss and turn, leads to you basically waking up everytime you move.

Very near to railway station. Room had a supporting column in part of room. Big clean room. Great shower. Had A/C which was a bonus. Could improve quality of sausages.

The females at the check in desk were rude and not helpful at all. Bed was cranky and room didn’t smell very pleasant. Had to speak to a manager who then was helpful. Very small room and 2 single beds had been pushed together when I asked for a family room.
