I've been to Madeira at least 6 times in the last 6 months. clearly I like it. however there are good days and ok days. never a bad day. great service. if you are a chatty person the chefs wlill chat away. if you are a quiet one they will leave you alone. food is good but no offence intended this is Leicester so the food will simply never be like in Portugal or Spain. if you order the paella please, please do ask for the one with chicken and prawns and never, NEVER, the one with chorizo!!!! FFS!!!

Use to eat a lot from this place but since this has gone downhill. Not what it use to be like. We were a large group (20) and the owner ripped us with the bill. Used low quality meat for us. Not many of us had main course with a set menu starter with only prawn and chorizo and yet our bill came up to £700. Will not go here again.

Absolutely lovely joint, fantastic food, friendly staff, great service and free Wi-Fi. Seafood is wonderfully fresh and the coffee is brilliant. Also, cheap (by UK Standards). One of the best places I've eaten at period! CANNOT GO WRONG HERE!

Outstanding food. T bone steak is best I've ever had. Very friendly welcoming restaurant. Once sat down enjoying the food u forget your on busy woodgate's and feel like your in Portugal. Highly recommend trying this little gem

Food was superb and service was excellent! The owners (I believe) really make you feel welcomed into the restaurant. They do look after you really well and the chef cooks some delicious food! Considering the location, it is pretty quite and cost inside. Prices are standard as like most restaurants.

Really nice place. Staff was very helpful and educated. We had the meat skewer and squid/shrimp skewer. Both very nice. The meat was soft and tasty, the shrimps and squid were very tasty as well. The chocolate mousse at 5he end was delightful. To return

Grat place. Good home cooked food. Really nice guy cooks and runs the restaurant. I very much liked the menu too. We had a 6 person dinner party on a Monday night and he very kindly opened the restaurant just for us. We had a wonderful time.

Really yummy food and such good prices, huge portions especially when your getting fresh fish and it's all fresh. Nice atmosphere and lovely staff. Definitely try it if your around Leicester it's well worth it.

Superb! Came here with my partner for a quiet meal Sunday evening. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and compliments the food well. We had some Tapas dishes and were very happy with our choices! The different meat dishes we had were amazing, so full of taste and tender! To top off some great food the owner is such a lovely man, happy to have a chat and give recommendations, and gave great service! We felt very welcomed and will definitely be back to try some more!

The food was awful! Frozen bacalhau à Brás, burned on the top and super dry. The francesinha was with burned sausage (totally black and hard to eat) and the chips cold and tasting re-warmed. The lady in the kitchen was not polite, never apologised. The gentleman who was bringing the food was really nice and polite but the food was awful.
