Good food, friendly staff, but pricey but everywhere is these days

A great place for authentic Indian cuisine. The mixed grill was delicious and can be easily shared between 2-3 people as a starter. For mains, I’d recommend the butter chicken and hari mirch lamb. You can tailor the spice level for the butter chicken which I’ve not seen other restaurants do and I really enjoyed having a spicier version. The service was fast and waiters are very attentive here. The restaurant gradually got busier throughout the evening and the loud voices of the diners disturbed the atmosphere slightly and made it difficult to hear those on your table. It can be helped by having some background music, which would create a nicer ambience.

We booked a meal here before the darts grand prix final 2023 at the Morningside arena. The arena is right next to this restaurant, one minute walk. Warm friendly service. As a newcomer, we didn't know what to order, so the manager suggested he brought out an assortment of starters. He was able to cater for one of our vegetarian guests. The chilli garlic prawns were super hot but really good. Tempura aubergines and the salt n pepper fish was among some of the group's favourites. I all loved the vegetarian aloo tikka chaat. Lots of other chaats available as a starter. We also shared each others mains and they were all really good. Butter chicken and lamb Rogan Josh were great. The lamb dum biryani was wonderfully aromatic, albeit a little too much mint. Naans and chapati were superb. We had plenty to drink and found the final bill amazingly good value.

Very friendly and pleasant staff, nice atmosphere, very well set out, even though running at full capacity very well set out. Food well where do we start? Booked a table for 6 on a Friday evening, as we arrived we were directed to our table which had 6 poppadoms and chutney waiting. We ordered starters which consisted of non veg mixed sizzler, sea bass, fish pakora, chicken lollypop, chilli chips, crispy aubergine. Everything we ate tasted super fresh and clean. If this was just starters, we knew for mains, we were in for a treat. For mains we ordered butter chicken, chicken saagwala, hari mirchi ka gosht (lamb curry with green chilli). All were fantastic bar the chicken saagwala. Reasonably priced , but what you get compared to another restaurant selling the same item for a similar price is the freshness in the taste of the food. Overall a fantastic meal and a very enjoyable evening; lost a star because every Indian restaurant I go to I always order the same food to compare to others and that is chicken lollypop and chicken saagwala. Chicken lollypop should be cleaned from the bone and pushed to the top, here we just got the drumsticks as a whole. The flavours were top notch nonetheless! The chicken saagwala was pretty bland and could have done with some more flavourings, however this could have been a one off as we were the last ones to order mains. Will definitely be back again soon, hopefully will be able to re-review on the next visit and give it 5* which it does deserve.

The good was lovely and the serving staff were very helpful and understood our dietary requirements, so we felt comfortable getting things we would enjoy. I'd highly recommend this place and I'd go back again. There's some parking on the road outside and it's a quiet street even though it's off a main road (at least in the evening anyway).

Absolutely amazing customer services. Waiters were so friendly. Food was so delicious i ordered crispy aubergine in starters and lamb roganjosh, chicken on the bone. The portion was full and tasty. Tea was fantastic aswell.

I visited the place for the first time with colleagues. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The starters were a real treat, excellent quality and taste. Mains were usual. The place is small and can get very noisy. one can only speak to the person opposite. it was not good for a team gathering. The parking in the area needs some efforts. Lastly the curry was a little strong for my stomach. I would like to go there again but I may only order the starters.

Lovely restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised at how great the food were and the service was attentive and lovely. We went on a Saturday and the restaurant was absolutely packed with 2 different big parties, but we were still well looked after by the staff. Price was reasonable for the portion size and the great taste. We'll be coming back!

I would have rated this Chefs Flavour 5 Star, when I have eaten there the food is delicious and the service is good. It’s a clean and friendly place. I have reduced my rating because on two occasions in the a 3 month period I have tried to visit once on a Wednesday and once on a Saturday both times the Google my listing sates the restaurant is open only to arrive to find the place is closed. I understand that things happen , staff are ill, the listing is old and not updated. Update your Google listing and make sure it’s accurate, if there is an issue update the times, post an update let people know. Or Chefs flavour will cease being a first choice curry house there are plenty in the area that would be happy to take your business.

Went last night with friends! Raucous atmosphere with a group of about 12 guys. Couldn't hear yourself think. Food arrived cold. Poor choice of menu that did not reflect the website menu. Very disappointing. Felt sorry for the young lady who did her best to serve a raucous crowd. We noticed that two couples left the restaurant due to the noise

Good food and service. The starters are really good here. Can get bit noisy as the restaurant is like a hall and the sound echoes from everywhere. Parking is bit tricky as well. There is street parking in the vicinity but can get full. Overall good place to eat and the manager/owner Manoj is a great fellow. If you talk to him then he can customize food to your taste.

Absolutely amazing. Totally stunning food and great service. A complete absence of background music completed a full house of perfection. I have no idea what I ate as someone else did the ordering, but there was an beautiful aubergine dish, wonderful vegetable korma, superb mixed grill, I could go on and on. Even the "house dry white wine" was a fab choice. I wholeheartedly, unreservedly recommend this place. Thank you Manoj and your brilliant team.

Excellent service and great tasting food. We had the half non veg sizzler, crispy aubergine, paneer butter masala with tandoori roti. We will be going back .

I booked a table of 24 for my birthday. The table was set out in a square so we was all facing each other, which was great! They gave us our poppadoms and starters for FOC which was really generous of them. A friend of mine had been there before and recommended I go. It did not disappoint, the staff and food was amazing. I was even given a birthday cheesecake, which was lovely touch. I will definitely be visiting again.
