Excellent privately run cinema. Very clean, personnable staff, lovely cafe with great food. Good ticket prices! Reasonable cost car parking close by. We love this place and will make it a habit to come more often.... even if it us only for the food and coffee! Highly recommended! As with all cinemas, the adverts at the beginning are quite long, but they have to get revenue from somewhere to keep running.

Place has has nice vibe to to it and is a very nice relaxing cafe with excellent service. Prices are slightly high but the ambience and sitting itself is great. The have got magazines , books and newspapers to spend some quality time. Could spend hours with a cup of coffee. The carrot cake and sticky toffee cake were soft and tasty but prices are higher than should be. The washrooms were maintained well and very clean. Note: baby chairs are available

We experienced a new screen. Great comfy seats and leg room. Brilliant screening, tasty coffee and beer. We also experienced the interactive digital arts. Entertaining!

Mightily impressed with the Phoenix. A real hub of indie and leftfield cinema, a great space to watch films. Seats were comfortable and prices are fair - particularly for students. Nice bar/cafe area too. Visited once but will certainly make a return next time in the area. A real gem of Leicester.

The Phoenix is for me one of the very best things about Leicester. The choice of films is always great, the seats are comfortable, and all amenities are clean and accessible. The cafΓ© serves excellent food with friendly and efficient service.

The new screens are extremely comfy. The extended cafe has more space and some comfy couches. Always sensibly priced tickets. Great staff. Great programme of films and events. Apart from that, it's OK really! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

This is a great independent cinema with very friendly staff. Everything is very clean and well kept. I live coming to this place an d looking forward to see their new restaurant area when it is finished. Also, the volume during the film is much better, correct volume levels to enjoy the film. Unlike Odeon where they are trying to make you go deaf with unnecessary loud volume. Come to Phoenix cinema if you want to have a pleasant experience.

I am a big fan of the phoenix. The expanded cinema is great, much better than before. It is however a great shame that they're is no music or theatre as there was in the old building. The menu is rather underwhelming. There is no pasta and or rice on the main menu, mainly fries or quinoa. I found the dishes I tried quite dry. Coffee is reasonable but it's a pity that the range of local beers available previously have been dropped in favour of big brands. Good selection of films, good seats and thank God, no popcorn.

As a great fan of the Phoenix I’m so happy to see it buzzing again. And the cafe is now producing some really good and imaginative food. I had a really delicious meal tonight, and look forward to many more.

Neil was a great a help and despite his manager presence he doesn’t hold that role! honestly so polite while dealing with a semi-drunk group which can always be appreciated, so friendly and attentive which I always have time for, and excellent service and atmosphere in the bar, thank you Neil!

A brilliant independent cinema showing a wide range of interesting films. Comfy seats, friendly staff and a chilled, communal atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you live in Leicester or are visiting.

A jewel in Leicester's Crown. Superb cafeteria. Lovely coffee and nice food. All served nice and safe by great staff! The cinema shows popular and great world cinema. Good seats and good prices. Support this place!

You need to adjust the overhead door closer in the mens toilet. It just hurts how noisily it slams. You just need to remove the metal trim and turn the screw clockwise. We're watching Predator tonight! Vegan options in the fridge!

Attended the Christmas Eve screening of that timeless classic, It's a Wonderful Life. First time I've been since the extension, was really impressed, staff were helpful and friendly, and the barman was a decent chap who knew his stuff. I'm sure I'll soon be returning in the new year and rather like the idea of having dinner in the cafΓ© before the picture.

went for a mystery film night- a really unique idea that i loved! unfortunately, seats are quite uncomfortable, and there was a large black mark on the right side of the screen which distracted me quite a bit! sound wasn’t brilliant, but overall a great experience.

I really enjoy going to Phoenix to watch films and relax in the cafe. I've been going to this cinema for years and I like the selection of films they have on offer. Seats are comfy and its always clean so no complaints.

Great place to see a film. Relaxed atmosphere, nice bar and cafe (though now under renovation until Jan 23). Wonderful selection of films, including recent and past greats.

Phoenix is a brilliant independent cinema, which is clean and well-kept. It’s modern and the seats are comfortable which is definitely what you need when watching a film! Not only does Phoenix show new releases and indie films, it also holds really great film courses and a mystery film night which is fab! I definitely recommend this cinema - it’s hard to beat!
