A most enjoyable visit. Nice clean, comfortable rooms. Breakfast was great value for money. Great friendly bar staff especially Tasha who took care of our every need. Also a shout out to Donna who sorted out our dining needs on a busy evening. We will be back 😁

My son is autistic, we are staying for a few days due to a problem in our apartment. The empathy of this dear employee who today stopped working for 2 minutes to pay attention to my son deserves all respect and admiration. Congratulations to the Hotel for having her on its team👏👏👏. Thank you so much dear. God bless you🙏!

Not really sure why some of the reviews are so negative (based on my experience, at least). The person who checked me in was very friendly and welcoming, the room was fine & the on-site bar/restaurant was good and priced sensibly too (again the people working were friendly). The building could perhaps do with a refurb (the exterior & rooms are perhaps a bit tired. Could do with plug sockets next to the bed too please), but for the price I can't complain.

We booked with Premier Inn because we like the consistency across locations. This particular location seemed to have dated rooms and did not feel like any of the others I have stayed in. Once passed the foyer and restaurant which was fresh and inviting the oldness took over. Some accessories within rooms also need to be replaced such as a rusty shower curtain rail. That said the staff we interacted with from the duty manager to bar and waiting staff were all wonderful in everyway. It is just a shame that Premier Inn are letting their great team of staff down by providing them with a dated hotel.

Great hotel and easy to get to from the motorway. Staff really friendly and smiling. Nice a clean enough. Bathroom a little small but functional. Room was perfect for my nights stay. Definitely stay again if I'm in the area.

The hotel is nice but the keys to the room stopped working on several occassiins amd reception said it was because phones and car keys touched them even though they were never near them. The room we got people had been smoking qnd vaping in this prior to our visit and the room was stinking. They did say we were very lucky as they had another room. It was on the top floor though! The reception area was constantly busy and only two people were manning this? Breakfast was good and Sophia is lovely always wants to help. The staff were nice to be fair just a nightmare having to chanbe rooms then wait in a queue for ages everytime there was an issue and there were a few!

We arrived late, the check was easy, guy on reception friendly. The hotel is the worst Premier Inn we have stayed in. The public areas are tatty, the outside is disgusting. Our room was small and shabby, however the bathroom was clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel is very noisy both inside and out, not the usual quiet Premier Onn standard. The bar was closed and vending machine not working.

No wifi in room. Shower very dated and controls about to fall off. Sink tap about to fall apart. No extraction for steam in bathroom. No tea and coffee in room on arrival. Thermostat does not control anything, heater is either on or off, so nights are either sauna or cold. Car park very uneven. Hotel overall passable for price, but rooms very dated. Great food and service. Great location.

Was a bit disappointed when we'd booked a family room for our trip. And turned up to find only a double bed in our room. And not enough towels for the 3 of us. Luckily, after a wait, we were given a new room with the correct number of beds booked. And transfer towels and our luggage. When you have a young one, and turn up to an experience like this. It's a little less than ideal. Hence, the more average rating. Staff did, however, resolve this. Breakfast is good. Plenty of choice and staff were quick to replace food when things were running low. Carpark has an ANPR system, and you can enter your registration at reception. As a guest, you get free parking.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and I had everything I needed. There's a good size car park, so no problem finding a space. The bar and restaurant were good and the staff, including the domestic staff, seemed pleasant and helpful. I would stay again.

Nowhere near as bad as some of the reviews would make you believe but definitely showing signs of age and could do with a freshen up. As other people have said, no plugs anywhere near the bed for phone/ laptop chargers etc. but not the end of the world. I was on the top floor, quite far from the front of the hotel, and used the free WiFi to watch a TV Series on ITV X and it worked perfectly fine, a bit on the slow side but nothing worth shouting about. The only thing that I did think was a bit of a let down was the buffet breakfast I had paid for on the morning. I went up 3 times and each time I went up there was an item or two of hot food that had ran out, across my 3 trips I did manage to get a full English but not able to in one trip. In fairness to them though there was probably over 100 staff from one company in having breakfast at a similar time to me so they would have been extremely busy and the hot food would've been moving fast. Would stay here again on future trips to this area.

The room was average. The food was also average, but the two woman that serve on a night are a absolute credit to the hotel. Ellie and Maddie have never made me felt so welcome in a hotel restaurant. They couldn't do enough for me and made sure everything I asked for was catered for and done quickly and efficiently. These two girls are a credit to this establishment and future employees should follow these girls example.

Very friendly, helpful staff. The key card system was down so no room access without a staff member taking every guest to their room each time you left which was slightly inconvenient. The dribbling shower was a joke but I was told that pipework was being worked on. I had to cup water in my hand to try and throw it over my hair & body! Decent location albeit the hotel looks a bit in need of external TLC. Breakfast was excellent so overall, good for a 3*

Clean rooms and freindly staff. And great cheap food in there restaurant. Cheep drinks especially if you get the meal deal cos you get 20% off in the restaurant. We had extra food and drinks on top of our meal deal for 3 adults and only cost extra £14

Hotel was fine long wait at reception staff were very pleasant but not enough staff on duty. Breakfast was ok nothing spectacular I asked for vegan bacon and sausage and 10 minutes later the assistant said no bacon's left but sausage had been put in the oven, unfortunately it took 30 minutes which by then was too long. We stayed as we were attending the Tom Jones concert at Leicester cricket ground very handy for this venue.

Very scruffy, outside areas unkept, grass and weeds everywhere, the inside was also scruffy, the corridor to the room looked like they had never been painted since it opened. The room was tatty, didn't get a shower in the morning as we didn't want to walk on the carpet, we left our socks on all the time we were there, we stopped at another premier inn on the way down and although the hotel was fine, the outside areas were unkept with 2 foot high grass, this seems to be the way with premier inn now, prices have gone through the roof and no money being spent

this hotel is very tired and certainly not 'modern' the furniture is that old wooden style that went out of date the same year it came out. the TV is so small I can barely see it from the bed. but what really ticks me off is the socket situation. surely whoever builds these rooms knows how frustrating it is when there is no socket next to the bed. People are here for work purposes as well as leisure - you can't even plug your laptop in and charge your phone at the same time! this hotel is in desperate need of a revamp. the bathroom is very small - I fancied a bath after a long day at work but didn't really fancy my head basically being in the toilet. Breakfast was a mess. It is served u till 1030. I arrived at 10 and had to ask for: Beans Bread Butter Water Milk Apple juice The staff should be keeping this topped up until 1030, instead of assuming everyone has eaten. It's not nice to have to keep asking for things and feeling like a nuisance. It's also not a pleasant dining experience when staff are packing everything down, including removing things from your table as you eat. on a plus, the staff are lovely and very friendly and it's very close to the motorway so a good place to stay for travelling to your better location

First time we've stayed at a PI with a restaurant that wasn't a chain pub. We had two evening meals and two breakfasts. The food was cooked perfectly. No dried up sausages or bacon or black pudding done to death; everything was just as it should have been. The staff were efficient and friendly. I've only marked the very clean room down as it didn't have a USB port for charging phones. Given its great location for Leicester, easy access, and staff who responded quickly to any request with a smile and a 'can do' attitude, we'll use Fosse Park next time we're up that way.

Check in was very slow for premier inn. You have an electronic keypad to put in car reg, but can't show arrival. No hairdryer in room. Hubby went to ask reception for one. Noone at reception so had to ring the bell. Receptionist insisted that it is attached to the wall, but after my hubby insisted there wasn't one, receptionist said he would come up and check in 5 ...crazy.. We had checked in every draw, nook and cranny. It has happened in other hotels we have stayed at but reception always helpful and given us one. We had been travelling all day and I just wanted a shower. After 20 mins, receptionist a no show, and as we were the furthest from reception that is physically possible, I rang the number for reception. I rang 6 times before it was answered. I also emailed reception as suggested on a card in room. Finally, he answered the phone. I told him who I was and he said that they didn't have any spares. When I told him that was not good enough he said that he would have to go and get one from another room. Tbf, he delivered one to my room within 10 mins. As usual bed comfy, room adequate, but only enough condiments for 1 cuppa. And no caffeine free. I have travelled all over Europe where caffeine free is standard. Come on Premier Inn, catch up! The bathroom was spotless so excellent cleaning team, even the toilet roll was folded into a point.....havent seen that in many years!! Despite having leaving do not disturb message on our door, cleaning lady knocked and came in at 9...must be keen!! Excited to see 2 plug sockets instead of the standard one, albeit on the desk and none by the bedside tables. Who designs these rooms?? Premier Inn is no longer 'premier' in my view, need to catch up with our tech savvy world. Internet should come as standard, more beverage choices (fruit teas are becoming more popular), and the carpets in all areas are looking grim. Receptionist needs additional training, no greeting, no extra info re:breakfast, didn't check if I had registered my car etc. I don't want to see everything automated, but if I see a human I do expect at least politeness and helpfulness.

I go here quite frequently for breakfast. Food good, staff very helpful and friendly, restaurant clean and tidy. Only negative is recently some customers are openly stealing food! On Friday a lady filled a large plastic box with hot breakfast items and a bag with muffins and half a loaf of bread, causing the buffet items to run out. This needs to be stopped or the price will increase to pay for this type of theft.

The room was small and the bathroom could have done with some TLC. But the service we got from start to finish was great and the location was easily accessible. My only real complaint was that the parking situation isn't great and the carpark is in a bit of a state (lots of potholes) which made it harder to get our belongings into the hotel.

Arrived to find out no room key cards, machine was broken. If you wanted to leave your room you had to be escorted back by a member of staff obviously you had to wait for one to be available! Ordered and paid for food at the restraunt, waited nearly 25 mins, they brought out food that I didn't ask for because "they don't do that anymore" no one asked me if it was OK. Went back to reception for my room key, Walked to the 3rd floor to find the room key didn't work so back down to ground floor with my food and waited for a new room key. Shocking experience!

We stayed here last night, it was not all that great of an experience. Staff where pretty miserable, if you miss hear them they come across angry at you, they talk about you to other staff which is disgusting. Food was okay, but generally not a lot of options for people, especially breakfast, if you have pre paid for unlimited food, be prepared to be stare at like you're robbing the place if you take extra jams etc even when you have paid for it all... You're also not allowed box's to take food, which other premier inn allow. The room was okay, somewhat clean, but the remote was broken, bed was broken, your feet where higher up because of a dip, it was not comfortable at all. You could constantly hear bottles being binned and trollies being dragged about at silly times, a weird click sound in the room, and a burn on the mirror, the bathroom had mould around the bath which wasn't great. Overall it was an okay experience, nothing special.

The room was clean abd beds were made up very well, well done to the housekeepers. Our welcome could have been better. The reception staff were very stand off-ish and blunt with no kind gestures and verry little manners. Check in is from 3pm but our room was unavailable until almost 4pm asbit was a family room. Lots of people with children would like to get straight to their room after a long journey and I believe, family rooms should be made up as a priority to standard double rooms. Bar and breakfast staff were very nice and extremely helpful which made up for the grumpy receptionist.

Although I arrived here at midnight and left in the morning. My stay was great, most importantly it was extremely clean. And the bed was really comfy. Place has a fairly dated interior / exterior. But didn't really matter to me personally. Breakfast buffet was great with a reasonable selection of food.

Location is good just off the M1 but hotel isn't the greatest. Room small, no air con. Bathroom tiny barley get in! Corridor had a strong smell of cannabis when walked down. Doors in corridor don't have slow close meaning nothing but banging when people go through. You don't sleep well here I'd chose another Premier inn elsewhere

  • 1/5 Sonali L. 1 year ago on Google
Ordered particular rooms months in advance got to check in and been given none of what we had picked. Receptionist then started blaming us instead of listening to what we had to say and then got a angry aggressive tone. Was unpleasant and just uncalled for. What's the point in specifying what rooms we need and want if you aren't going to get it Manager / supervisor was helpful though and tried to help best she could. Otherwise probably would've got 1 star as can't give 0! However won't be staying there again even though we've been staying at this premier inn whenever we were in Leicester. Can get better hotels for the same or a tiny bit more money. Double rooms are so small. And beds even in disabled room are so uncomfortable. No one really had a good night's sleep. Overall not a pleasant stay.

  • 2/5 Amandeep G. 1 year ago on Google
Samantha (reception) and all staff extremely polite and helpful. Unfortuantely the building is very old and lacks updated services. Shower was dripping and not an actual shower, room was overly warm (no air conditioning to bring temperature down). Samantha helped with early check-in which was very helpful with a young child and to ensure all needs met.

Hotel definitely ready for a revamp for the bedrooms. Ants in our bathroom. Need sockets next to bed Bed very comfortable Breakfast and food for dinner was excellent and great value. Staff polite Drinks reasonably priced. Bar and restaurant hugh.

Definitely a budget, no frills hotel for an overnight stay. There is ample parking at the front and behind the hotel. No information received from receptionist regarding breakfast or restaurant opening hours. Restaurant opens at 6pm, so beware if you're traveling from afar and are hungry before then. The room was clean and basic and there was no telephone in it to contact reception. Had a wait to be seated for breakfast, as only one person was visible and she was clearing tables. Full English breakfast had fried eggs but no scrambled eggs. The Light/Continental breakfast at £8.50 was not value for money; there were a couple of muffins but no croissants. I would stay here again if the price was right, but I would skip the breakfast.

We found this place as our usual booking was full. We had great staff, polite and welcoming. Room was good as you would expect but we had some issues with the vending filter in bathroom that kept throwing out dust.

Nice place to stay, staff very friendly. Rooms outdated and cold there was ice on the inside of the window. Couldnt turn heating up. Bar was a nice area and breakfast very good.

  • 4/5 Karen D. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms were not up to their usual standard. We asked for our room to be cleaned and they left 2 towels outside the door, along with our bins. We were at the back by the school which was noisey, that combined with trolleys being moved around first thing, ruined the sleep-in we were hoping for. There was no extension lead for my to borrow to use my cpap machine, so I had to step over the cable during the night. We did have an evening meal, this was an exceptional surprise, and very good. The breakfast was good, although I wasn't sure on the bacon. But my partner didn't say anything, so it was probably me. We have stayed here several times and always enjoyed our break, We are also due to return on January 10th 2023 for my daughters 18th birthday, so hopefully that stay will be a more pleasant experience.

Car park was OK, room ok, check in was typical wasn't asked if I wanted to book restaurant so when I turned up to restaurant at 615 was told earliest I could get in was 715 I advised I was diabetic made no difference could see 7 people in restaurant waitress was very abrupt. Ordered food from the bar which came in around 15 minutes, bar staff were great, the abrupt waitress delivered my food (steak) I asked for a steak knife she told me they had run out not a surprise she clearly has the attitude that she is not there to help customers. Will never use the restaurant again stayed here 3 years ago and the restaurant was exactly the same Zero customer service from front of house staff.

I was in this hotel for 2 nights and my experience is okey. Our room was clean , beds comfortable and everything was there which we needed.Staff polite and helpful.A lot of space to sit in the restaurant . Good choice of healthy food in the bar. Happy to book again in this hotel .

Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, bar & restaurant on site. Breakfast was additional but bargain at the price. Was all round lovely. I stayed with my 2 children and we all had a pleasant experience. Ideal location to fosse park, would recommend!

The hotel is very dated and like most of the chain needs a real facelift. The rooms are okay but the broadband is awful. I paid for the ultra and got worse reception than the free. The lift wasn't working at the time of my visit and there was no food available when I arrived (albeit it was fairly late). There is a garage next door which is well stocked made up for it.

  • 5/5 Arwyn B. 1 year ago on Google
This is everything that one has come to expect from Premier Inn chain, but, with a little more. The staff are very friendly and attentive. From the reception to the waiting staff, all are to be commended. The bed was very comfortable, for me. Just the right amount of give. The room was very clean. Details like there being no mould around the tiles and taps is a good sign. However, I fancied a bath as I was able to lie down in it. The water slowly drained away. The rubber seal on the plug was insufficient to prevent this. A little detail that most will not notice as a shower will probably be the norm. I had also booked in for an evening meal and breakfast on a deal. This is great value. The lounge is open and convivial. I got two courses for dinner and a eat as much as you like breakfast. The selection at dinner was as one expects. Basic but hearty and wholesome. Portion sizes were ample. Taste was surprisingly good. The staff were very attentive and willing to help with all requests. I ordered a few extras including a third course. Nothing was too much trouble. The buffet breakfast was the standard choices of fruit, yoghurt, cereal, and English, along with juice/tea/coffee. This was all wholesome fayre. Generally speaking, this is a great place to stay, but, the location is far from picturesque, but, it is a short convenient distance from the M1. I highly recommend the venue and staff.

Room was small but clean. We had no problem with the location, but premier inn promise a great night sleep but this hotel was loud and you could hear everything happening next door and the floor above so a rest stop meant we didn't really get any sleep. You could hear the busy road outside and the traffic never stops. Very bad experience.

  • 5/5 Andrew H. 9 months ago on Google
A good premier Inn with plenty of rooms and ample parking. Only the WiFi signal was patchy so I ended up creating a WiFi hotspot from my mobile for my family to use but that aside it's a good hotel which I would use again, and have.

Greeted by friendly staff members at front desk reception. Any issues the staff were happy to help with a solution. The bar is quaint and nicely lit, creating a nice atmosphere A staff member named Alix made some really nice cocktails. Definitely recommend if you enjoy them. The room is nicely sized and well kept after.

Staff are very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was great. And loads of free parking. We had an issue with the vending machine which they addressed straight away.
