We came on a Monday, and it was quiet. We worked in the 4/5 hard rating room and it was difficult. We got into the room and the iPad that is meant to give hints was not working so we had to use the help switch which meant a member of staff had to come in to help us. So we used the button when we was stuck. The middle room had a leak in the ceiling, a huge hole in the ceiling and it was dripping so there was a puddle of water on the floor. Then we asked for help and he came in and just gave us the answer and walked out without explaining it to us. He had no customer service and was quite rude. Then in the last room one of the objects that we needed to use for the clues was not working properly. Although his colleague was nice one of the guys were rude and was unnecessary. Also it was really cold considering we’re in winter there was no heating

Very disappointed. We have used this escape room before (we are running out of new escape rooms in Leicester!) and had a great experience but that was a few years ago and things have definitely changed! We were told to get there fifteen minutes early for our 5pm booking. All the staff were behind the desk watching some sort of videos by the sound of things. At 5 to 5 one member of staff suddenly realised that they needed to reset the room we were booked onto. Considering there wasn't really anyone else in the building at the time they could have done this earlier. When we got going in the room two of the puzzles had clearly been left already solved by accident (or had previously stopped working and they hadn't bothered to replace them). Another of the puzzles quite clearly used to be electromagnetic but had stopped working and they hadn't bothered to fix/replace. If this escape room cost alot less then perhaps this would be excusable but for 100 quid for 5 of us, it seems a bit like daylight robbery. If you want to do an escape room in Leicester I'd advise looking elsewhere (where the staff are more enthusiastic and the rooms are less 'tired') Real shame as this place used to be great!

Disappointing, I was expecting better. The hints on the iPad were one step behind therefore all the hints were not relevant in real time in the game. We had to continuously call the host in if we needed a hint. The host was friendly and happy to help. The 2 out of the 3 rooms were absolutely freezing. Highly recommend, keeping your jacket on whilst in the rooms.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, they explained everything nicely and even offered to take some photos for us as the end. The experience itself was great in a group. Was pleasantly surprised! Not too hard, not too easy; fun for a birthday or just to hang out!

Great hour in the escape room, yes we failed! Difficulty level 4 out of 5 and true to its rating lol

Worst escape room experience yet. Black light writing in one part of the challenge was completely illegible, making it impossible to complete. When staff were informed that they had left us stuck with these items for half an hour and shown the text, the response was simply that there should have been some clearer ones (which they were unable to provide any evidence of!). No attempt was made to apologise by any staff. Definitely won’t be going back.

Probably the worst escape room experience ever. The briefing started well, info about scans for clues etc. The game was to start with the team being blind folded and handcuffed. They had lost the key to the handcuffs so that didn't happen. The scan codes didn't work because of worn out codes and information in the briefing wasn't given about the work around for this issue. The ipad locked so we couldn't get into it to know how long we had left or to use it for the scan facility for clues. We were advised how to get a member of staff in from outside for help but that never happened to sort the ipad out. The clues in the room were worn out making it difficlut to read them. I could go on but in a nutshell a poor experience. Wouldn't visit this place again.

I have done several rooms there now, Jungala, Enigmista & Alcatraz. The game set ups are fun and the puzzles are of a good level. The quality of the room furnishings are reasonable but wear and tear such as holes in the wall or props tearing are beginning to show. We had a memeber who couldn't make one room due to train issues and were told we would get no refund but a free space in the next booking. However when it came to the next booking they said there was no record of this, so we didn't. The reason for only 2 stars however is some real lack in attention from both staff and the game resets. When playing alcatraz there is a propr for making notes as some of the maths involved is hard to hold in your head. It was forgotten to be put back in the start room. Without giving away details of the games which wouldn't be fair to players, there are elements put around the rooms which have been nearly rubbed clean so that they are illegible. By far the most annoying aspects were both our group and the ones we played with had a lock which was faulty so it took both parties over 10 minutes trying the correct code, until the staff member came in and reset it. When we complained he just shrugged. The for our group, when we got to the final room of Enigmista, they had forgotten to close the exit door. So ew solved all the final puzzles with the exit already open which made it feel a rather empty victory. Complaints were made but no refunds or discounts given.

Been to this escape room twice now. I find this to be one of the best ones in the city centre. The staff are friendly and very helpful and certain rooms are quite difficult which made it even more fun. Enjoyed the challenge.

Good place and ideas but I didn't like the help system......you get a tablet to scan qr codes for help. We got stuck on a puzzle for 20 mins so didn't get out, felt like we'd been left to it.....

This was my first time and escape reality staff explained everything in the 15 min briefing. It takes a while to get into the game but soon it became thrilling and overall I enjoyed it. Despite loosing, I would definitely go to escape reality again. The only downside is the venue does not provide parking .

Went to our first escape room here, Staff are lovely and very patient. I'm probably just thick but it took us a while to understand how the hints worked on the tablet! Didn't make it out but will definitely return, maybe to a different room lol

We had a large booking for 3 rooms and 16 of us in total. Have to admit the rooms are difficult, as this was the first time for us. Would have been good if they had AC as we went during the very hot spell (7/8/22). Hussain the assistant there was amazing, lovely lad with great customer services skills. He made the experience one to remember.

The game had elements not working and the setup team had forgotten to reset key elements of the room. We told them about it at the end and they laughed. Having been to other Escape Reality venues I'd suggest this is not the typical experience and that this venue is just poor.

Friendly staff - did the "bank job" escape room, which was really well thought out and fun to do. Although we had a great time, one of the challenges was broken, so despite getting it correct we had to ultimately get the staff in to fix the issue. Not a huge problem, but very much took us out of the experience. Nonetheless, would recommend!

First escape room ive ever done and it was a wonderful time! The game master explained everything so well and we felt very at ease about being locked in. Thank you for a lovely time and I'll definitely be back to make my way through all the different rooms!

My wife and I travelled here from Birmingham yesterday both had never done an escape room before, and we was very pleased with the whole experience from start to finish and wanted to give a big thank you to Chrissie for all her help and outstanding customer service. We will definitely be back.

Visited today & we loved the experience. The staff members were very helpful, especially Hussain, who explained everything in much detail. We did the “bank job” escape room which was really fun. Would definitely recommend for a nice day out with family or friends :)

Great fun! An exciting and thrilling experience that differs from your usual activities (cinema, bowling, etc). A special thanks to Tonio who went above and beyond to help me with an issue I had whilst booking. Only drawback was that our session was cut short by mistake and although we were promised extra time to make up for it, this was never granted so we were forced to leave the room early. This ruined our experience and left us disappointed. Nevertheless, a fun outing and I would come back!

Great experience at Escape Reality. Staff were informative and helpful. One broken hint, that the staff informed us on before hand and helped us anyway when we asked. We didn’t escape but thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Would recommend.

Absolutely loved doing the "bank Job" escape room today. The rooms are really logical. Challenging but achievable. Staff are friendly and welcoming too.

Staff are lovely. I had an accident last year and couldn't do the room. They paid for a taxi to get me to hospital as I tripped on my way into the road side returned a year late and still got to use the tickets concept was OK . But some of the things were not replaced correctly meaning we wasted time. Still enjoyed the concept.

Me and a few friends did Jungala and it was really good fun!! We did have to use the cheats (probably used majority of them as we weren’t the most switched on… 😂) but there was a few diff rooms to get through and really enjoyed it!! Mo explained everything beforehand and was happy to help when needed!

Me,Wifey and 3 kids came and tried our luck at escaping Alcatraz.. we failed at the last bit ... we really enjoyed it and we all communicated with each other That's rare at home .... On the whole it's a great way to spend an hour or so .. I'm back here today as my son and friends are doing the bank job game ...

We had a fabulous night and we're treated brilliantly. The price was very reasonable and the rooms were challenging with puzzles that taxed, but didn't ruin the experience. We would def go again. Thank you.

Enigmista Room - AVOID Out of 30+ escape rooms our team has done, this is by far the worst. Everything starts well, but rapidly goes down hill. The quality of some of the props has clearly deteriorated over time. The puzzles are relatively easy, lacking any form of complexity, which is not to be expected from a room rated 4/5 for difficulty. One puzzle relies on hand written codes which have become illegible. Assistance was requested, our request was initially ignored. Five minutes later, we received assistance, but instead of a typical clue or voice over announcement, the "Game Master" came into the room, ruining the immersion of the theme and gave the answer (not a clue). After this fairly major hiccup we entered the final room with some more very basic puzzles which had lost touch with the theme of the room. Complained to staff, as it seems many others have too, and got nothing in response. Very disappointed. Official difficulty rating 4/5 Actually difficulty 1.5/5 (assuming the handwriting clues are rewritten. Otherwise, impossible).

Went here for a family members birthday and we did the Enigmista room. We had hoped this would be a scary room but unfortunately it wasn't. I feel the room does not live up to the video and brief description given on the website. I have done escape rooms elsewhere and this place just wasn't to the same standard. You have to use an iPad for hints or press a button for a member of staff to come into the room and help. This for me takes away the immersivness of the room and actually somewhat ruined it for me. The member of staff working was very friendly and helpful. But unfortunately I won't be returning as the room setups just don't work for me.
