What an amazing adventurous place this is! Highly recommend for when there's good weather.... Some lovely benches and seating areas tucked around the place. The children's play area is quite a walk from the car parks (for the meadows) but is a lovely walk to get to none the less. Lots of bridges to cross over streams and the canal. A few different types of path (grass/gravelled/decked). A very fun day with family! Lots of dog walkers and strollers and all very friendly. Had to stop an ask a lovely couple for directions as the place is big and easy to get muddled up on where to go.... Recommend taking a picture of the Map to refer to if your first time.

Great place to bring the family for a few hours. Massive amount of space for walking, riding and even having a picnic. There's Wooded and open area's as well as the famous 'Pebble Beach' which allows for some net fishing for river shrimp and stickleback to get the youngsters interested in nature. Will definitely be back but with a picnic next time!!! Enjoy and remember to take your rubbish with you and scoop that πŸ•πŸ’©πŸ€’ πŸ˜‰πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ“–

A great place to exercise and enjoy nature at the same time. There's also a variety of berries and plums for the person who wants to go foraging. Some people also fish here but I've not seen anyone who caught anything in all of my visits, so it's probably just a nice way to relax. It's a pity a few people have chosen to use this place as their dog's toilet, and don't clean up afterwards. πŸ˜πŸ˜’

A great place to go for a walk or a run. Might be a bit muddy on rainy days or after one so make sure you wear a suitable shoes. Suitable for everyone and accessible from different directions. Have some areas that are perfect for picnics and gatherings. Perfect to see a lot of beautiful trees in spring time.

Really accessible country park even for wheelchair users if you are going into the nature reserve and on the viaduct. Lots of trails for a really long walk. Even better walking along the canal which leads to Fosse Park but it is a 45 minutes walk so be prepared and not as accessible for wheelchair users as the path does become narrow! Definitely lots of animals to see: stork, fish, horses, rabbits and ponies.

What a beautiful place to visit 😊 make sure you bring your camera because there's so much to see. And make sure you give yourself a full day to walk around aylestone meadows Park. The locals are very nice to talk to, if you get lost on your journey I'm sure somebody will help you get back on track

Perfect place for a family picnic with pets. Also for fishing, bird watching and photography, nature therapy. Plenty of parking space, well connected by public transportation as well if you want to reduce the carbon footprint. Please dot litter. Enjoy.

Parking is possible. Plenty of space, beautiful environment, plenty of water. Joggers, dog walkers all over the place. Always felt safe. I'm sure the bloke on the boat is in the background of thousands of pictures.

My favourite place to walk the dog and get my step count up. So much great wildlife to spot. Fun for kids too. There are a few places to get food; st Andrews FC, kings lock tearooms, jennos and everards.

Beautiful place. There’s always something new to discover no matter how many times you’ve visited. With so many different en t areas there is something for everyone. There are ponds rivers horse cattle an abundance of wildlife and fauna. Great for relaxing walks, joggers, boaters, dog walkers, families and more. A stunning place that is expertly maintained, with an amazing team of volunteers who keep it litter free and maintain upkeep. Iv found everyone to be so friendly, always greeting as I pass by. I’ve been visiting for just over a year and I feel like it’s never been the same walk twice. My dog and I go all over exploring. It’s also got vast accessibility areas so everyone can enjoy it, even if you use a wheelchair. The new bridge has opened it up even more and I’m now able to go all the way to Glen parva in my wheelchair. It’s a stunning place and I just hope the public truly appreciate what they have access to, and don’t ruin it.

I walk here with the dog at least twice a day for around 7 months and I have not got bored of it yet. You have woods, meadows, and nice little beaches for your dog to access the water if it's that way inclined.

We had a brilliant sunny early-Spring morning walk through Aylestone Meadows. It was our first time here so Wellington boots were worn and coffee taken in a flask. The main tarmac paths were busy but away from those we had a very memorable time. The idea was to explore and perhaps get a little muddy but it soon escalated and the kids ended up waist deep wading through the extremely cold streams. Will be heading back on a warmer day in the summer (maybe even with wet suits next time.)

The meadows are a beautiful area to walk around, you can follow the river or head through the fields. You might spot rabbits or little muntjac deer! Very well kept. Parking is available at two locations. The local community have a Facebook group where lost toys and warnings about loose dogs and such are posted. People really care about this area and it shows.

Amazing place for a walk with family. Plenty of space with loads of paths. There isn’t any amenities or shops etc hence I’d highly recommend you come equipped with your own stuff.

Nice place but the plants and everything there is in bug mess! There is no care about the plants the way that it grow up. No suitable places for searing and some places are direy

Lovely walk with the kids. Stretched from the city centre out to baby. Horses, sheep, canal boats, lots to see. New paths for bike and wheelchair access at Aylestone entrance. We love walking to Everards/Jennos

Nice place, long walks with many different routes. The river flows through the meadow and has plenty of shingle beaches for children to paddle in or the dog. Access from numourous locations around leicester, main carpark is quite big off the aylestone road.

It's a nice place to walk, by the canals especially. Can get super muddy and flooded though. Unfortunately the place does attract some not particularly nice individuals. We've witnessed fights, police incidents and groups with huge bongs and god knows what more frequently than not. It's a shame really

Absolutely stunning nature reserve that is a pleasure to have as part of my walk to work. Well worth a visit for a lazy stroll or a family picnic.
