Victoria Park is a beautiful place in Leicester which is never overally crowded. From any single point you can see the entire park. It's calm and quiet around noon time. It gets more joyful around evening. You can see different activities-group of people playing games(cricket/baseball/tennis/frisbee/skating), people enjoying picnics, walks and kids playing around. This park has proper walkways and bike riding.

beautiful scenery Victoria Park is a fantastic location for cycling, walking, and running. On the field, you can practise your exercises or play games. The lawn is neatly mowed and looks great. There, you might witness squirrels and birds. A lovely green area may be found just close to the University of Leicester campus. The majestic memorial arch, constructed to honour the First World War fallen, serves as the park's focal point. The lovely wrought iron gates at the Peace Walk and London Road entrances to the parks, as well as the arch, were created by Sir Edwin Lutyens.

Beautifully kept, spacious park. Lots of games courts (football, basketball, tennis). No rubbish lying about. Went to enjoy a picnic when visiting my son. Weather was ok (a little blustery) but didn't detract from this stunning open space in the heart of the city. While we tucked into our picnic we watched a group of people (perhaps families or friends?) play a great game of cricket 🏏 Made it even more enjoyable. Plenty of parking (reasonable rates & only £1 on a bank holiday). The toilet facilities were clean & well stocked.

Beautiful nature! Victoria Park is a fabulous place for walking, running and cycling. You may also exercise or play games on the field. The grass is cut, it's clean and nice. You may see birds and even squirrels there.

Victoria Park is a fine green space next to the University of Leicester campus. The centrepiece of the park is the magnificent memorial arch, built to commemorate the dead of the First World War. The arch was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, as were the beautiful wrought iron gates at the parks Peace Walk and London Road entrances. The area served as the city's race course until 1883; upon the racing find a new home at Leicester Racecourse in Oadby, the area was transformed and is now a peaceful retreat from the buzz of the city. The park has areas of formal flowerbeds as well as winding pathways shaded by avenues of trees– perfect for finding some shade and enjoying a picnic or a good book on a summer’s day. For more active visitors, the park is home to a bowling green, croquet area, 4 tennis courts, football and rugby pitches, a floodlit astro pitch and an outdoor gym.

I live in Leicester, this is a great big park, this was my first visit to the park and at the Radio 2 event, can't believe how big it is. With Demontfort Hall, loads of eating places on London Road and Queens Road and the station 10(ish) minutes walk and the centre of Leicester another 5 it's a great location.

Walked through Victoria Pk today with my walking group, it was cold but beautiful. It's lovely to see the seasonal changes too. Lovely place for dog walkers and youngsters as they can all run around. We're seeing 'A fairy tale of New York' there this evening at the De Montfort Hall which is in the park's grounds.

I enjoyed my morning walk of 5-miles. The tracks are good for jogging and walking pedestrian and bicycle tracks are marked properly. Restrooms are accessible easily and clean. Picnic tables are big and awesome. The children's play areas are good. Awesome park for dog lovers.

Very cute park. Lots of green places to have a picnic. It has a skateboard place, a park with slides and swings, a basketball court and lots of benches. The parking you have to pay Β£1 an hour even on sunday, that is the only bad thing about the park. Lots of shops and take aways nearby

Victoria Park in Leicester is a picturesque green space that offers a delightful escape from the bustling city. The park boasts well-maintained gardens, expansive lawns, and beautiful flower beds that create a serene and tranquil atmosphere. The park's centerpiece is a charming lake, where visitors can enjoy leisurely boat rides or simply relax by its shores. Well-equipped playgrounds make it an ideal spot for families with children, while the numerous walking paths provide ample opportunities for strolls or jogging. Overall, Victoria Park is a true gem in Leicester, offering a refreshing and rejuvenating experience for nature lovers and city dwellers alike.

A beautiful park in the center of Leicester, a historic place, lots of attractions for children and animals. I do not recommend walking after dark.

We go there every year for Eid and other festival it's was very well organised lots of rides for kids and food stalls. The only reason I gave 4 star is due to lack of parking. Car park is almost always full and parking on the road next to it is very confusing you just can't understand what sign says literally all the car had a ticket which was not nice they really need to make the timing more clear.

A great place for some quality family time. Rugby, football, multiple play areas, monuments, lovely old trees, big grassy areas lovely views and in a nice part of Leicester. Haven't been here for years but after taking my boys, nephew and niece there today I'm looking forward to going back again!

Amazing huge play area about 10 minutes walk from the rail station. This is also close to the stadium for anyone wanting to visit and play some ball games after the game. Good number of things for kids and adults of all ages to try out . Lots of parking available outside albeit it’s chargeable. One of the biggest parks in the area

Amazing Park! Urban Inner City, Central Park NY vibe at a very small scale obviously, but lots of flat green space. Great for picnics, walking dogs, playing sports and social gatherings. Very close to pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area. Parking is fair, but it can get very busy on those very sunny English summer days. Overall, enjoyable for everyone including K-9 friends.

I only walked through the park from the car park (clean, good spaces and reasonable prices) to the university. Winter, but well maintained and probably worth another visit in the summer. Impressive war memorial.
