Great for people with kids, dog-walkers and people doing sports. Great park with a free car park. In spring everything is blossoming, so the views around are truly breathtaking 🌸

I love this park, it's great to get some exercise and to be social (within 2 metres) also you meet the dogs and use the gym equipment outside. Great routes for jogging or walking l with plenty of space for the dogs and\or kids to run around. Toilets on the route are now open and nice and clean and parking on site remains free but spaces are limited. Wheel chair friendly spaces are available and wheelchair access is available throughout the park although my visit today on December 6th was a little muddy and cold but still much enjoyed walking around and saying hello to other people. Remember to be safe and protect yourself and others...

Fantastic place to take a stroll, walk the dog or let the children run off some energy. Free parking or local bus stops right out the front. There's an outside gym and tennis courts as well as rest rooms.

Great place for a picnic! Parking, public toilets, outdoor gym, kids play area and local sports! There's a number of paths to walk around some are very well manicured and there's some off-road ones too which take you through wooded areas and a stream. A large number of trees. A really nice park which has the advantage of a small car park for when you are feeling lazy and a cycle path for when you are not. There is sometimes an ice cream van there at the weekend. Totally Great place to spend time with kids, chitchat with friends.

I've been using this park since I was a child and now I take my children to play / walk there. With its play areas for small and larger children, it's stream, open areas, foot golf, tennis courts and wide pathways for walking or scooting it's the ideal place for a wonder in all weather.

Great park for all ages, cyclists and dogs. Large playgrounds for young and older kids, free-to-use tennis courts and basketball shooting court. Large open flat fields, football golf area, exercise area, toilets and usually an ice cream van, even today! Quite popular but never stupidly busy, car park is free.

Choice of nice paths, lovely meadows, sensory garden, stream, great playgrounds for younger and older kids (or even kids at heart), fitness equipment, foot golf, football pitches, picnic areas, toilets, and a very good car park. In school holidays and at weekends an ice cream van stays around for several hours.

  • 3/5 mitch C. 2 years ago on Google
Nice place to take the children for a few hours out or walk the dog. Luckly the parking is still free. The toilets are definitely the worst kept I have seen lately. An on site ice cream van sells coffee / hot chocolate if your desperate. But I would suggest to take your own flask. There's exercise equipment and a pre planned route for joggers if that interests you. Or just a nice leisurely walk to blow the cobwebs away.

Nice local park for a walk. Good facilities including outdoor gym, 2 play areas little and bigger kids, tennis courts and golf football. There are toilets usually an ice cream van and plenty of benches around. The area need the brook is nice and shaded and great area for kids to play on hot days. There are also sports pitches for local football and cricket teams. There's a sensory garden and spinney which are open at set times.

  • 5/5 Lydia H. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely place for a walk. When the spinney is open that's also a lovely walk. The children's park area has lots of lovely equipment. The sensory garden is beautifully looked after and another little area of the park. We spent lots of our time watching frogs/froglets and frogspawn on this particular visit.

What a wonderful park. Lovely and clean, no litter or graffiti. We visited with our 7 year old granddaughter who loved the playgrounds and the bridges over the streams. Plenty of different areas to walk around and explore. Ice cream van and free car park were a bonus. We would definitely visit again.

Absolutely wonderful park to visit either with or without children, plenty for children to do in the playground areas, there's even an outside gym area for teens and adults, there are lots of different paths to take to have a walk, run or even cycle around. There are toilets but they were not very clean and there was no toilet paper in at least one of them on the day we visited.

First time I visited with my daughter so had no expectations as we have just moved to the area and we’re looking for a local park. It’s a very well laid out space with a decent sized car park and all the facilities needed to spend a few hours outdoors.

The play park area is enormous (3 gated play area's) for all different ages and abilities. It has everything you could think of, even a sand put with a digger. My 2 year old was busy for 2.5 hours πŸ˜„

Knighton Park is a hidden gem with well designed walks, play areas, outside gym, a stream walk, football and cricket pitches. Many dog walkers, most off the lead and only a few people forgetting to collect their dogs waste ( which is a shame).

  • 4/5 Jason A. 3 years ago on Google
Regularly walk our dogs here. Beautiful scenery, wide open spaces for them to run around in and play with other dogs. Only negatives we found are that on a weekend, we see teens in there drinking and the following day there is the inevitable smashed bottles which is a risk to kids and dogs alike. Also, having some wood chips on the mud paths would be appreciated as it can get get really sludgy at times, even in walking boots!

Met up with a friend for a walk. Park was very busy and no covid19 measures in place. I didn't mind as we are responsible for ourselves and know the rules but there was lots of groups of people. So if you're nervous about covid19 you may want to avoid this park. Apart from that it's a pleasant park but very muddy walkways.

This our go to park for taking our dog out for a good run. It's a great place with lots of different surroundings. However, at the moment during the Covid lockdowns, I am concerned that the local council are keeping the children's play areas open which is encouraging large groups of people from different families to congregate without any social distancing. It has deterred us from going near certain parts of the park for the time being.

Nice very large area of park land, and 2 flat flood plain fields. Plenty of space. Also outdoor gym and extensive kids play equipment, tennis court. Rockery Gardens need work, but I know that costs.

One of many good parks in Leicester City. Clean, relaxed environment, good balance of accessible paths and natural spaces. Sports courts and equipment always seem to be in decent condition. w/c seems functional for those that may require facilities. Good work LCC on limited resources and at difficult times.
