I loved my day out at Nelson Mandela Park! There was a large grass area and a good few swings and playground area for kids (even teenagers can use this area). There there was an outdoor gym for adults as well! People there were calm and polite, I had no issues with my niece and nephew who kept me busy as they had fun and laughed. As it was a warm day, it was a bit busy and it seemed tricky to observe covid rules, barely anyone had masks on but as you can imagine..we all went out for some fresh air so that's the only thing that was of concern. There wasn't much observation of covid rules especially when close-ish to each other.

Nice well kept park across the road from Leicester Royal Infirmary. Plenty of benches to rest those weary legs. Sports equipment available to use for the energetic! Defibrillator easily accessible and toilets on site. Litter bins dotted around the park to help keep this park nice and tidy.

Nelson Mandela Park is a modern Park situated nearly in the city centre and The Brooklyn Hotel. It has green fields, a play ground and an open gym. However, I was very disappointed to see a lot of rubbish near the path way and the benches.

The park named after the Great Icon Nelson Mandela (Madiba). Park is nice but some wild spray work destroying the beauty of park.

With a Basketball play area, a small relatively park and a prison in the back, kids would definitely enjoy the playground, have a snack, watch the passersby, relax from the hustle of the streets around you, mind you, you could use a free public " Lou " bathroom too. ( dogs 🐕 are not allowed in the kids playground) but are ok in the rest of the park.

This is a lovely little park for the locals however I think there are better parks out there . It's convenient and always pretty busy . The kids play equipment is only a small climbing frame there are 3 basketball courts though and lots of grass area. And toilets are there too. I would say its akin to a local estate park.

I wasn't mugged passing through at night. There a bit of gym apparatus and your are opposite Leicester's A&E so probably a great choice of location if you were to have a heart attack

Horrendous Park is littered with empty plastic water bottles , local students from code building playing with water pistols , I thought this generation cared for the environment. ? Wasting water during a heatwave and littering , should be ashamed.

Calm and Scenrene! A free Good location for fun outdoor activities. Its a few meters away from the Leicester tigers stadium. If you are basketball buff, a free court is around the corner. Plus it's got a free convenience for ladies and gents!

A quiet little park in a key location, in-between two Universities (Uni. Leicester and De Montfort University). It is opposite the road from the Leicester Tigers Rugby stadium and not far from Leicester City Football club home ground, The King Power Stadium. A great location within Leicester city centre.

Very nice and calm. There's always cars driving around it and there's some ongoing construction at the moment but it's still a good option for a picnic on a sunny day. There's some exercise machines as well.

It's an insult to Nelson Mandela, naming a park next to a prison after him, prison being the place he spent so many years trying to get away from! And with a statue of Ghandi, not Nelson Mandela. Disgraceful!!

Stunning location, nice benches and a good consideration for privacy. Often it's the people you're with and not the park alone, but you deserve the stars 🌟

Amazing place for an early morning walk with a smoke, watching the sun rise sitting on the benches seeing the morning dew on the grass, or going to use the basketball hoops for some laughs Would highly recommend going to this park if you live in leicester. Or want a nice morning walk.

I had the privilege to meet Nelson Mandela in 1995. It was at a function hosted at SAB World of Beer museum. He was being ushered in by his bodyguards but stopped by and greeted the young waiters/waitresses in a side room. I still remember the warmth he radiated when he entered the place.

(Translated by Google) A park of several hectares, with a driveway, a playground arranged on approx. 200 square meters. Who wants to run, the place is more than perfect for movement, you also have a view of the "Leicester Roger" Arena, the American football field, possibly rugby, and also to the University Leicester campus, a 30-storey high building. m, where over a thousand students from the local University are housed, with a relatively modern appearance, although we have not escaped that feeling of building aged for years, as you see more everywhere in the UK. The name Mandela Park derives from the monument dedicated to the former President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, famous for his relentless struggle for freedom, tolerance between peoples and ethnic groups and, in particular, the definitive eradication of the odious apartheid regime (racial segregation), imposed in that region of the southern African continent at the time of the bureaucracy, a kind of British colonialists, arrived there since the time of the greatness of the former British empire (Original) Un parc de câteva hectare,cu o alee de promenadă,un teren de joaca amenajat pe aprox.
