Good place for a protest or to eat a subway

The staff are not among the most polite, the rink is geared towards profit rather than skaters' comfort, it is overcrowded and also dangerous. A 45 minute session is more expensive than a 2 hour session at a professional rink plus the changing room is relatively 4 times more expensive than at a professional rink, I do not recommend this rink, a waste of money, time and nerves

Went skating. Well organised but too busy on ice despite having a booked slot. Plenty of sit on seals for the younger children

The actual ice skating was fun but the process of waiting for the skates an then waiting for your shoes at the end (35 minutes) is painfully long. Very understaffed and slow and charged for tap water. They need more staff in the shoe section..and maybe take more than one pair of shoes at the same time to speed things up.

I went to the ice skating with my kids, it was great fun overall, but the service was very unpleasant. You can point out when you are doing something wrong, but in a polite way, not in a rude way. An additional minus is that they don't accept cash, you have to pay by card

Took the children to ice skating, no social distancing whilst changing shoes practically herded in like cattle. The Rink was so busy however the children thoroughly enjoyed it (age range from 8-18) so not all bad.

You pay for a 45 mixture session where it is over crowded as they seem to have no limit or how many should be on the ice at one time, many incidents witnessed where small children almost jad their fingers swiped off. After coming off the ice we spent 55 minutes waiting to hand our skates back and get our shoes, more time than we actually skated. Staff clearly didn't not want to be working with no customer service at all. I would not recommend going to this at all and would much rather travel to Nottingham ice rink pay less money with friendly staff, healthy and safety guidance with limited numbers on the ice.

That ice skating rink is safety hazard with missing pieces of the boarders. How do you expect people who are new to ice skating to get around without something to hold onto??? Those 1 meter gaps are decently hard to bridge if you are new to ice skating. Also way too many people who can’t skate on the fast lanes!!! Don’t let them move away from the boarder if they can’t skate. Plus 45 minutes for £13,50? And I shall walk without my shoes on a wet ground when getting the skates? Disorganized. The ice quality is also horrible. When was it last cleaned? Deep holes when people can’t stake dig with their skates… Never again!

Christmas festivals happening here are friendly, like Giant Wheel and Ice Rink. But, They don't have any resources for safety and precautions, as they say. But, they'll be generous enough to provide you with an Incident Letter if you fall or break your bones during skating, etc., that you can take to the Infirmary.

Ice skating was ok....very busy with lots of rules. So strict as a guest even to take a photo you get squashed into a small area and the woman at the entrance was so unreasonable you can't get access to a much larger area where ice skaters enter that is much quieter to take a photo of the family. Spoils what could be a nice family event! I won't bother going back spoilt what could have been a nice new year afternoon

Jubilee Square is an excellent outdoor events space, as long as you have decent weather. Which was the case for the Brewbeat festival. Craft beers to sample, some street food and free live music provided by local performers, can't ask for more.

For a Christmas treat as a family we decided to go to the ice rink we had our 4 year old with us who had never skated before and was very excited to try something new however when we got on the ice it was so busy you could barely move safely around. The ice was raised in parts which was dangerous if you went over it. five minutes later I decided to take my little one off of the ice as it wasn't safe enough with the amount of people on there.

Chilling place for adults and nice fun area for kids. Peaceful place in the heart of a busy town. You can relax yourself here in grass. If you are shopping on Sunday where usually shops close early and still it is not time to have dinner just head your way to this place relax yourself and go for dinner later. There is a small play area for kids they love to play here. There is not much only 1 slide and some adventure steps, although kids love this place.

Depending on time of the year you can find there multiple attractions such as ferries wheel or ice rink, plenty of pubs around, restaurants. Welcome to the city centre of Leicester

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the fresh air, with family and friends - listening to the music and having a drink Watched my granddaughter dance as part of the festival. It's a great way of bringing lots of people into the city.

Great little outing. We caught a few live acts for the community arts project. The music was tight and really good. Particularly liked the James Brown Tribute act. Buying drinks was a little pricey. Acoustics are a bit tough, but a nice place to enjoy some music and soak up the city.

Only use it to throw a ball for my dog in the morning. Most morning I have had to pick up broken glassware from the pub, bottles and vapes. There is normally a large amounts of vomit all around the grass. Started using the space mid April. A few days after I started using the space the council cleaning team spent a half hour watching me throw the ball whilst talking to the owner of the wygston house pub. Mid May my dog got ill. I then stop going there for 2 day, when I return the area of grass where I and my dog play, has been chemical burned. The council needs to train it's staff how to use chemicals safely/correctly. I believe that the area should be alcohol free as there is a children's play area. Drinking isn't a great thing to encourage kids to do. Also I you use the childrens play area watch out for cars that drive up to the pub entrance as they have no consideration for pedestrians or the legality of driving on the pavement which is illegal in this country!

Went on the big wheel here. The staff weren't very helpful. We are family of four- 2x adults & 2x children because we had a wheelchair they wanted to separate us even though they have a wheelchair carriage. We had to take our grandaughter out of her wheelchair to all ride together. We have been on the big wheel before on Abbey park & we could all sit together in the wheelchair carriage. This was with Billy Bates funfair - the staff at Billy Bates are all professional, helpful & very well trained.

Ice skating was fun, although over crowded which causes issues. Example if you book for 1400, you’re looking at struggling to be through the door and on the ice by quarter past/twenty past, only leaving around 25 minutes of skating, then about another 15 minute queue to get your stuff back to leave.

Very festive square. Love the Farris wheel , turned out to be pretty pricey - £19 for 2 adults and a child fare - lasted around 15 minutes. The ice skating was also around £33 for the same as the above. Was meant to be 1 hour of ice skating, but they the time you get your skates (after queuing) and get onto the ice, you are then ushered off after around 35 mins on the ice, to queue and return your skates once again. The DJ was fantastic in the ice rink. TOP 90’s and early 2000 tunes all evening. Would’ve stayed longer just for those throwbacks - BUT songs had a lot of swearing which wasn’t suitable for the 5 year old we had with us really. The town can we rowdy around 8/9pm with pub and club goers queuing up too.

It's not a square, it's a trapezoid! Other than that it's an outdoor area with seating, a bit of grass and some fancy lighting where events and displays are occasionally held.

Stage for Jazz afternoon was great just a shame so little seating organised. Jazz was the highpoint though so well done Leicester Jazzhouse. Jean Toussaint stole the show for me.

This used to be a Bus Stop which looked absolutely dreadful!! Especially since it's the Entrance as well as Exit for Visitors shopping or visiting some of the City's Great Tourist Attractions, like the Richard III Visitors Center which was previously a Car Park where King Richard 3rds Body was finally found over 600 years after his death! Jubilee Square is an amazing place where Visitors as well as Leicester Citizens can relax from the Hectic Time in the City! All I can say is this is a wonderful Square which makes Leicester a more attractive City to Visit and this will shortly be joined by the Market Square once it's Regeneration is Complete! Again making our City a Great Tourist Attraction!!

Had a face lift again. The turf had died so more expense for the city folk. Nice open space but as it is adjacent to the St Nicholas gyratory lots of vehicle fumes when breeze is in the wrong direction.
