Lovely place. I came in the afternoon, and got a few games in. Any retro game or console you can think of... They have it. And the volunteers working there are very friendly. £7.50 to get in and there's a loyalty card where after 6 visits you have a free entry.

Better than any arcade I have ever visited. Spent a few hours steeped in nostalgia and playing game from my childhood. The guys are wonderful and clearly so passionate about what they do, highly recommended!

Had a great day out. Would highly recommend a visit to anyone. I loved playing games I grew up with. There is plenty to see and take in. From computers, consoles, games, magazines (literally have a library)

For anyone who fondly remembers the Atari ST, ZX Spectrum, BBC Micro B, Amiga, Commodore 64, as well as all the different games consoles this is a must visit place! A great trip down memory lane! There are also a few arcade cabinets with Street Fighter, Out Run, and Pac Man amongst the titles available to play. To cap things off there's some early VR units to sample too! I took my 2 daughters (12 & 9) and they loved it. The volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable, and happy to show you some of the exhibits on display if you got tired of playing the games. Well worth a visit.

A really great hands-on museum with countless games to play that's affordable too. It's also an excellent resource for classic British computers especially, but there's plenty more covering the whole history of the medium. If you're new to retro gaming you might want to take the tour or ask the very friendly staff for help, otherwise you might be lost in menus! More easily available hand sanitiser/wipes would be nice, though, as a lot of people are touching the controllers through the day.

David gave me a quick tour of the place. From early home computers (sinclair, bbc, commodore etc), retro arcade machines (on free vend, pac man, space invaders, mr do, defender. Centipede etc), to games consoles (sega, nintendo playstation etc). Even early VR machines. Magazines, manuals, etc. It's really well organised, was busy on a Saturday. Free parking. Recommended

great retro museum. I remembered the times when I played on Commodore 64, Amiga 500 and old PC games. I will definitely come back here again someday. Regards

Excellent choice of retro games and Arcades and staff are very pleasant and always willing to help. If you love computer games and love retro then this is the place for you. Place is tidy and clean and consoles are in very good condition, nothing is broken or faulty, unlike other places.

My husband and I decided to visit Leicester as we’d not gotten to explore much the first time we were there. We did a search for Things To Do and came across the Retro Computer Museum. We decided to go even though we wouldn’t get to spend all day there. Had I known how much fun we’d have, we would have planned ahead and left bright and early. This place is run by volunteers and they are all so wonderful and very helpful. We got a tour of the museum and even had interesting conversations with the volunteers who were there that day. We got to play on unique game systems and they even had a pinball machine and arcade machine! We most definitely will be returning and bringing friends with us next time!

Booked the museum for a private event for what I consider to be a highly reasonable sum. Staff were super friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. Coffee machine was great and a welcome surprise! Extensive range of machines to use of all genres, as well as the games to go on them. A vague description was often enough for the staff to hunt it out and find it for you. As well as the usable equipment there are plenty of boxed items and curiosities all around. The more you look, the more you notice! There is an extensive library of reading material, much of which was for sale. I can't recommend this place enough and I'll definitely be coming back!

What a brilliant place! I’ve visited quite a few times in the past couple of years, in fact the photos are from 2022 but the layout is similar. If you have a desire to revisit almost any piece of retro computer and gaming hardware then this is the place for you. There are so many computers, consoles, arcade equipment, custom built arcade cabinets, and a games library, it would take months of visits to see everything! Apparently they have loads of hardware that they don’t have room to display . Fortunately they’re moving a couple of units down to a much larger location which should give them more space to spread out. Highly recommended!!!!

Lovely day out! The staff are friendly and enthusiastic. You're spoilt for choice with the range of computers and consoles available. It was fascinating trying out devices from each era and seeing how far things have come! Would love to come back once the cafe upstairs is open :)

Knowledgeable, friendly volunteers on site, and a plethora of old, vintage technology and technology related items. Way bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. A really fun place to visit to play and remember the golden age of arcade and computer games.

Fantastic interactive museum with a wide variety of systems, literature and paraphernalia. Highly recommend a visit. Staff super friendly and other guests very courteous. Very good value. I was able to see and play systems I had heard of but not ever played. The arcade section is impressive.

This place is absolutely awesome and the people running it are so knowledgeable and friendly. We visited for the first time and will definitely be back. My son is into retro gaming, and I am not, so I thought I would be mostly watching, but once I saw some of the old games I used to play, it was like stepping back in time and being a kid again. We had such a great time, there is so much to do, can't recommend it highly enough

Fantastic! A wonderful nostalgic and fun afternoon spent either playing on games from yesteryear or gazing at the expansive amounts of old consoles, games and literature. It is a proper Alladins cave. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic as was Andy the curator who was happy to take the time to share some of his expansive knowledge and enthusiasm onto myself and my two boys. He even kindly gave me a copy of a DVD he made called "Memoirs of a Spectrum Addict" which in itself should be saved as a historic documentary on the thoughts of the many developers and programmers at the time. A truly wonderful place and well worth the very reasonable entrance fee. If we didn't live 3 hours away we would be back a lot more often!

A real gem for anyone who loves computers and games. Was lovely to be able to play on Atari. It's run by volunteers who were lovely, knowledgeable and helpful. It would be so much better if it's refurbished and moved to a bigger place.

Great place to visit, we had a fun time playing on all of the retro computers, nothing is behind glass, if you can see it you can sit down at it and play which 2as great! From retro computers (Commadore Amiga, Atari ST and DOS) to classic arcade machines and consoles (NES, Mega Drive, Gamecube etc). Would definitely visit again. Staff really helpful and friendly. Small shop to buy drinks and snacks is onsite too!

Super friendly hosts! This museum is suitable for both the hardcore nerds and families alike. Had such a great time talking to people here as well as appreciating the vast spectrum of machines ready to use. Highly recommended.

A really well-curated museum of consoles, computers, arcades, magazines, games (cartridges and cassettes!) and lots of other cool things. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable too.

Pensioner, and did this bring back memories. I was expecting a museum, but in reality, you go in and play on every console I've ever heard of for as long as you like. Machines are set up so as you play free for as long as you like. Admission charge is about £7 for an adult. I can recommend this for casual gamers or for any grandson wanting to take the Mickley out of their aging parents. Yes, we played games like this.
