    1. Do consider adding mini fridges in the rooms. 2. Do consider keeping the prices slightly constant during stays. I book a stay from Friday to Monday, and the prices are 36, 90, 80 and 42. Will the room get a makeover during my stay? Why such big differences in prices

What an absolute dump! We stopped over for a family wedding and I've not stopped in rooms as bad as this since I last went on an 18-30s holiday in ibiza!!! We stopped in rooms 320-321 and there was veneer broken off the work tops, holes and damp in the ceilings empty moldy broken soap dispenser in the shower, the room meun was that filthy I had to sanitize my hand after looking at it. If that isn't bad enough you can forget getting any sleep with the banging music from the bars what backs onto these rooms, this went on until around 4am in the morning. The hallway carpets and covered in bleach (probably to hide the smell of weed and damp) and ripples in the carpet you could literally trip over, we only stayed 24 hours (thank god) but in that time there was a rotting kebab on the lift floor when we arrived and it was still there when we left lol I kid you not. Unfortunately when we left I forgot my phone charger! Probably due to tiredness from lack of sleep so I phone up the following day and explained what had happened and the lady said she had it in her hand but couldn't post it until she had spoken to a manager!!! Stange but I chased it up the next day and was assured it would be posted, 2 weeks later I phoned again to say I still haven't received my charger and was told I have no idea what I was talking about!!! It was an expensive fast changer so I can only presume a light fingered member of staff fancied one for themselves. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STOP

Please avoid at all costs. A genuinely disgusting place - been moved rooms multiple times due to issues on their side, and then the rooms I’ve been moved into full of bugs and stains in the bathrooms and on the sheets. Some of the workers are nice but some are downright nasty and find it hilarious that you’ve got to keep moving your luggage up and down the building because they’ve given you the wrong key, the wrong room and/or your room is filthy. I know it’s cheap but honestly choose anywhere else, I promise the extra tenner you might spend will make such a difference. The last thing you would expect from a chain hotel is the service that this particular travelodge presents.

"Travel scam" not "Travelodge" - so this hotel "appears"to have parking on site.... And there's no way to know where the "nearby parking is". Especially if you are driving. Here comes the scam with its neighbours whereby no matter how shorter time you park.... You either pay the high price of £1 a minute or innocently go inside to be told where the parking is... With no reference to it on the website or booking.... Only to have £100 fine come through the post for 8mins. Ah Ha I'll fight it and object to it or appeal.... Sadly premier park the sister scammers to Travelodge... Don't do any form of customer service and quite quickly put up the price to £170. What about court.... We'll my friend.... The court is merely there too facilitate the scammers in legalization of their fraudulent claims.... Needless to say if you want a Room for a night... Whatever they're charging... Add £100 to the cost of your nightly stay... As that is what it will cost you for finding out where to park for 8 mins or less (yes 3other people I worked with got done too... So £1,000+ for a total of 22 mins between 3 parking places... Or just book elsewhere... That's what I've asked my bosses to do since 28 July 2021.... And yes... I lost my court hearing..... So avoid the scammers and just book elsewhere

The staff I met were polite. A small section of our room was wet (no clue how this happened as we met it this way). The manager compensated us with free breakfast for 5 people. That was very satisfactory

Rooms were disgusting. Bleach on carpets, carpets were more like waves. Broken soap dispenser, door very stiff to open or close, which made it bang. Asylum seekers in pj's for breakfast, that's if you can get a seat. Staff were constantly busy replenishing breakfast, but struggled. Would not be back

This place is so tatty it's actually unsafe. The appallingly stained, ancient carpeting in the corridors is rucked up in a number of places; our door didn't shut properly unless forced to; and the showers are over baths which have almost non-existent non-slip underfoot and inadequate rails, so I fell in the shower (despite holding on to the rail) and broke my arm. They say they don't plan to do anything about any of this.

Ideally placed. Subsidised parking. Decent breakfast. Understaffed as very slow at filling up empty breakfast dishes

Really run down. Carpets all stained. All fixtures hanging off in bathroom or stained. Staff very friendly, shame they have to work in a run down neglected hotel.

Extremely hot rooms, no air con, no fan (had to plead and walk down to reception 3 times before they found us one). Woke up at 5am due to heat and couldn't sleep. Could not even cool down as shower thermostat also broken so only hot water. Dirty, old rooms, floors & corridors, dirt in the bed too. Worst Travelodge I've ever stayed in and won't be booking again with the brand. Not cheap either - was £110 for the night.

Mostly a good experience, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is ideal being right in the middle of Leicester. Heating worked very well which was good in the depths of winter and the room was relatively modern. It was mostly clean with a few areas having stains on the carpets but I've seen worse in hotels before. One gripe was that I couldn't find any plugs that were within reach of the bed. One final thing was that there were a lot of what seemed to be emergency housed addicts/homeless staying, some of whom were disruptive and I could see families finding intimidating. Overall not a bad experience for the money.

Nice and clean, pleasant staff good location, finding the car park was a problem but worth it in the end as the TL was just round the corner.

    1. Do not stay here. 2. Staff were useless. So unprofessional. Different staff members were giving different info which was very confusing. 3. Had no hot water in the shower. 4. Bathtub was unclean. 5. They have no parking. You have to park at the multi storey car park and pay £6. Parking was a nightmare in Leicester central. 6. Homeless and drunk people everywhere. 7. Hair and body wash was on the sink and hand wash was in the shower. Luckily I noticed it but imagine I didn’t look and used it. 8. The hotel overall just looked cheap and trashy. Worst hotel experience tbh. Should’ve just paid the extra £3 and gone to premier inn because I’ve never had a bad experience with them before. Save your money and book elsewhere.

The rooms are old and it isn't the cleanest of places. The carpet in the whole building is disgusting with marks and dirt. The rooms are okay but the bathroom are small and horrible. I don't think I be staying here next time round. Lots of hotels around

Stay at this hotel at least twice a year to visit my Son who lives in Leicester. Location great, value for money extremely competitive. Room comfortable and clean. Staff always pleasant, professional and always ready to help if needed.

Disgusting, smelly, dirty. Corridors have a different vile smell between each section of doors. Mould, rabbit hutch, weed. Room was tidy, didn't smell clean, but also didn't smell dirty either, but I would not consider barefoot. Never again!

Stayed for Leicester pride. Pretty much knew what I was going to expect as I've started in travelodge before. Pros and cons to my stay, came with my partner and rang 6 times before we got there to ask if we could leave luggage there before check in later in the day, no one picked up. We walked all the way there and thankfully they were able to hold our bags. Good location as few mins walk into the centre. Room was basic but clean. Stains on the hallway carpets though. Had a devent night sleep, breakfast however wasn't amazing not great quality food or range but did what it needed to do. I did see 5 people go to reception during my breakfast and not once was anyone around to help them so that was pretty poor. For the price I would return as it did what I needed it to do.

Good experience. Michelle at reception was nice. Chill hotel if you’re not looking for anything fancy. Rooms quite big. Only annoying thing is you have to pay for wifi

The room was clean and good enough. As there’s no ventilation in the bathroom the room started to smell damp after a shower. There was lots of noise at night and thudding around on the floor above- and one night the corridor smelled of cigarettes really strongly. One light did not turn on. Not bad for a short and basic stay however.

Room was clean and the bed was OK. Arriving late on the sat night however there was a lot of drunks about and the hotel lift smelt of weed. Otherwise OK no major problems and breakfast was reasonable.

Stayed a little while ago. Room was clean and quiet which is good for the city centre location. Staff was friendly. Special mention to Keighley on the front who was amazing, helped me on the phone find the parking as I got abit lost. But she was very kind and always had a smile. I think she was a manager. Great service will definitely stay again at the Travelodge city centre when im next in Leicester

Surprisingly quiet, considering the location next to a busy road. The staff were very nice to deal with. Good value for money

Me and my friend had a solid experience at this hotel, staying in a spacious room with two comfortable beds! It also included a large table, seats for both of us, charging slots and a bathroom with many facilities. Towels and hangers were provided, however we experienced a problem with our room being low on charge that led to the keycards not allowing entry. The helpful staff responded by charging our room, although they did not do this enough since it ran out the next day. Also, my keycard lost connection despite being away from my phone, yet other positives are the rooms were clean, the lifts are spacious and signs help with navigation!

Just your classic 2-3 star Travelodge. Nothing special but does what it says on the tin. My only real complaint would be the soap in the bathrooms which is so watery that it actually doesn't do anything - but otherwise, bedrooms are clean and it's very close to the city centre.

I wonder how many other people have parked in the casino car park and received a lovely fine through the door. Maybe there is some grace if you’re only there for 5mins before the front desk tells you to move it but when the front desk is nowhere to be seen for 10mins,then I guess I’m just going to have to bite it. Very poor and to think, the actual stay was very pleasant.I shall be considering other hotel options from now on.

Very noisy room. Room clean No air-conditioning couldn't have the window open as noise from pubs and casino was too much to sleep. Location physically is brilliant for the busy city centre.

Absolutely shocking my daughter and granddaughter where put in here for reasons out of our and her control she should have been safe! Instead you entered her so called safe place whilst she was in the shower!! She locked the door out of fear as her daughter was sleeping and you made her leave the room and humiliated her publicly!! She's now been moved to a more secure place! Fleeing a domestic relationship isn't nice I really hope none of you have to go through what she has and still is!

One good thing: Staff was very friendly. - Hotel is scorching hot. Especially when it was warm a few days ago. - Somebody smoked in the bathroom. It smelled terrible. - not really clean, a lot of dust in the corners of the carpet. Bed frame has some unidentifiable stains. - Traffic noise. All night long. A lot of sirens as well.

No parking for hotel but discount given if park in rooftop parking. Staff and management really good and helpful but hotel needs renovating.bathroom extract fans not working. Too hot no A/c rooms just 1 fan provided but staff were good to help and provided us with an extra one. Really lovely freindly staff.

Had an ok experience at the Travelodge. There was no one available at check in and had to call a number to which a person who should have heard us helped us check in which was very quick once served. The room was reasonably clean but well used and. In the morning the shower temperature was barely warm and the room came with no soap as both dispensers were empty. For £30 I couldn't really complain and had a family room for the extra bed but if you want somewhere a bit nicer I'd suggest spending a little more.
