Also, the stovetop in my room did not work property which was completely hazardous. No maintenance past 5pm and one of the receptionists said he would have someone check on it the next day and it never happened. There are other short terms lets to stay in the city centre, do your research and stay there. AVOID KIMBERLEY HOUSE

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding. the cleanliness was horrific, there were stains on our sheets and it was all brown inside the shower in the bathroom and in the toilet. the bed was also extremely lumpy and I developed backache on my lower back after staying here for 2 nights and so did my partner. i actually went out and brought extra pillow cases to put on top of the ones on my pillow at the hotel as I did not trust laying my head due to the lack of cleanliness. There were bogeys wiped on the wall. my partner misplaced the key due to being drunk on a night out (which I’m sure happens a lot) and we were charged £46 for it. When we eventually found it literally a day later and was going to send back we were advised that we were still going to get charged for it anyway. the walls are thin you are easily woken up when people are coming in and out of the building. the parking at the back was extortion in price too. Not worth it at all, better to pay an extra £20 for abit more luxury. This is below a 3 star hotel. Dont do it to yourself. The only highlight was that some of the evening staff were lovely and helpful.

Nope. Nope. Nope. I came here with my partner, to spend the evening for a stop before moving on, after having an entire day of travel. The hotel reception staff seemed disinterested in talking and walked off when we were looking for ID to obviously avoid social interaction. This was and should have been my first red flag but nonetheless we carried on. Going up the elevator, bags of trash were piled about, and easy to trip over on the corridor. Finally reaching our room I decided to give it a quick look over. Firstly it was clear the metal appliances and surfaces weren’t cleaned to a good standard, moreover, maybe not cleaned at all. The random sofa made it seem very student like and none of the furniture actually matched which made me feel like I was in a furniture shop. Smear marks and fingerprint marks alongside general dirt really put me off. The pillows (two instead of the normal four) acted as one pillow, with them being flatter than pancakes. The bedside table, of which had a corner seemingly bitten or snapped off, looked as if it had been found beside a skip or in a charity shop for £2. To add to the list of quirks my room also contained a walk-in bathtub. The shower seal was broken and therefore the floor became a swimming pool, sodden our clothes and the towels. Being really grateful for the fan beside the bed I turned it on and, to my mistake, it’s loud jittering made it merely impossible to sleep, so I had to debate between the hot room or the loud fan. After a long attempted night sleep, we woke up and sorted ourselves to leave by the time requested when we received a blunt phone call reminding us that we were to be out, of which in my opinion was really unnecessary. As a business it confuses me that you would remind anyone as you could just charge them a late fee instead. However we were not late leaving, as we had been up a long time from the noise outside and the heat of the room. I can assure you to avoid this hotel unless they make drastic changes to both the attitude of staff and the hygiene of the rooms.

Stayed here with a group of friends for one night, came in and the apartment was in a terrible state damaged everywhere so we took pictures of the damages so they didn’t think we caused them, the bed sheets were dirty, tried to shower in the morning and there was no hot water from the shower or the sink. After leaving we received a message asking for £80 to replace damaged items yet they won’t provide any evidence of said items. Do not recommend staying here awful experience.

🤢 Disgusting… Paid 217 for 3 nights and this was booked 4 weeks prior. In the night time can’t explain the noise. Reception is closed after 9pm therefore everyone is doing whatever they want. If you think you will have a great night and also relaxed one, oh well you are mistaken. I was also with my 2 little boys and they were frightened as on the holiday people shouting and slamming doors as well as smelling as weed… Inside the room OMG is not even cleaned proper, the couch is broken in several places ( also take in consideration that prior checking they will take 1000£ for the deposit which is outrageous. And last point parking… what parking, you need to pay for parking or you can leave your car in John Lewis where also you need to pay for 24h. Worst place ever been I do not recommend to anyone.😠😤

Stayed there for one night. Staff at front desk were nice. Apart from that everything else was below average. Whole place smelt really bad and was run down. Our room smelt of cigarette smoke. We had 3 in the room so had to use the sofa bed. No pillow or bed linen were provided for the bed. Bathroom was small, water pressure was poor and it was very dirty. Would not stay here again.

Gross 🤢🤢 me, my husband and 4 children stayed there for one night and it was absolutely horrendous. It was very noisy, the toilet reeked and to top it all off the was no hot water or heating and they knew about this prior to putting us in that room even though we had a baby with us. The beds were dirty and uncomfortable the whole building smelled too. I wouldn't stay there ever again and I definitely would never recommend families to stay there either!!

Location is great & reception staff helpful but does need some TLC. Had to ask for towels for our room then only given 4 between 6 girls!! Only 1 mirror...which was in the bathroom... could've done with a full length one in either a bedroom or our lobby area. Blinds all ripped & damaged. Broken floor tiles in bathroom.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff. Check in was quick and efficient. The room was spacious, clean and extremely well equipped with everything as advertised. Bed was comfy, shower amazing. Location is very close to the city center, so convenient too. We will definitely be back.

I stayed here for a month for work training. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were very nice and helpful, really went above and beyond for me. The room was very nice and clean. The location was great as I could walk straight into town, parking was initially a struggle. But I found some free side streets which was a 4 minute walk to the apartment. Would definitely come back and stay here if I was in leicester again!

Been living here for the last 6.months and cannot fault the staff at all. Management is great, very accommodating and very friendly. Not had one issue.

The apartment is not as advertised on the website. The stains in the hallway and room are plentiful and ignored. There was mould in the freezer, which begged the question of where else we would find it. Additionally, the couch which is advertised as a bed is riddled in questionable stains. I would not recommend staying here regardless of it being a last resort.

This was the worst accommodation I have stayed in. The bed sheets was dirty which causes me to have bug bites. This was confirmed by my GP. When I tried to contact them regarding this I got ignored. Moreover there was no hot water coming from the shower which is awful. Brown stain marks everywhere you look around the bed. I would not recommend this accommodation as the basics are non existent. The day receptionist is rude and doesn’t care. The smell across the building is foul. BIG HYGIENE PROBLEM A BIG NO NO !!!! I WOULD RATHER SLEEP OUTSIDE

Stayed for the weekend with a few friends. Affordable rooms. Easy check in and check out. Free cancellation on one of our rooms too. Would definitely recommend if looking at a room for a weekend.

I stayed at Kimberley House and was extremely impressed that for the price we got a washing machine, a fridge, microwave , complete set of utensils and cooking equipment and even steak knives and scissors! The staff were really welcoming and I love the apartment and the privacy. Food was also ordered from justeat and they buzzed the flat number and brought all the way in to the apartment! The beds were clean and cosy. The telly had Internet and Netflix. There was even a handy oscillating fan. Honestly, for the price it was amazing. The location was also super handy as Nandos etc and all the shopping is literally across the road. Couldn't expect any more from a city stay, thanks guys! Will stay again! Eleanor
