The shower doesn't have hot water. There is no heating provided and I barely got any sleep because of the freezing temperature. The sink is blocked and the tap is useless. I paid a large sum of money, more than just about every hotel in Leicester and stayed around 10 hours. I had tried to ring the manager but was hung up on by one of the staff. After calling in repeatedly and finally getting in contact with the manager, he hung up on me when I asked for a reasonable refund. Nasty service and a horrible hote!

Disgusting hotel. Room was rundown. Everything broken or missing. Suppose be suitable and cleaned especially during covid 19 lock down. Stayed 2 nights as was a key worker in area so just thought I'd stay as needed a place to stay. Couple of days after started showing bite marks all over my body due to bed bugs. Reported to local health authority and will be taking legal action. Do not stay here and if you have make sure you clean everything after to a high standard. Worst place I have ever stayed

It's in a decent location, near the main road and an easy walk to the university of Leicester. Staff were polite and efficient although the place was extremely dirty and my room was in a poor condition, with a visible hole in the bathroom floor below the toilet and black mold on most of the walls. Lots of the other guests staying seem to be homeless/addicts and this meant there was lots of shouting and disturbance during the night. Overall I wouldn't recommend staying here over anywhere else at a similar price point.

Be careful staying at this hotel, I arrived late one night around 9pm and checked in at the desk, two weeks later I got a £60 parking fine in the post which I knew nothing about. I rang the hotel and they said there hotel car park is owned by a private company and there was nothing they could do about it as there is signs saying about parking and the lady at the desk never even mentioned it to me. I disputed with the parking company and finally got it dropped to £20, they weren’t even helpful over the phone, telling me to ring back around 2pm every day to speak with manager, I even gave them my number for manager to contact me but never did. Will never stay here again, filthy, dirty basic hotel, bad customer service, avoid at all costs!!!

Had to share room with 100s of Bugs. Have mentioned it, owner does not care. Council must close this dump down. Will be reporting them.

By the end of my 2 day stay, the lights were not working because of flooding issues on the day. Aside from that, I had mold on the window frame, chipped wallpaper, a very firm single bed with one pillow, and a shower that fluctuated in temperature while in use. That being said, it is cheap despite its location. You get what you pay for; a less than ideal room in a good position not far away from town or any amenities.

Poor service. Rooms dirty. No heating in freezing December. My daughter was unwell and hotel management couldn't get heating on. Please never book this hotel

Excellent. I work in Leicester from time to time and, whenever I have to do so, I always stay at the Croft Hotel. It is safe and comfortable. The rooms are a good size. The staff are always uber-friendly. The prices are very reasonable, and much lower than the competition. If you're looking for a great hotel in a great location, then the Croft Hotel is for you!

Cleanliness very poor. Bed was fairly comfortable. Decor tired. Couldn't get the shower to work properly. Breakfast was good, but no evening meals available. I couldn't get to sleep for very loud music being played locally.

I book without see the reviews. That was a huge mistake. The place have bugs that take your blood. I realize after 9 days a lot of bites and just after that I saw the bugs. I never hear about those bugs before that’s why take me soo long to realize. I had to book another hotel in the same day.I even had to take one day off work because I needed to buy a new bag and wash everything I had. That place should not be open to the public. Is just horrible,I know the place is cheap but is not that cheap for you suspected is that bad

Overall a very positive experience, apart from a few issues which were easily rectified by the staff at the hotel quickly which was nice to see. The breakfast was nice hot and actually quite quick , as it was included in the price of the stay it was even better. Even though me and my friend only stayed for one night it was actually quite a nice place to stay actually, ideally located for the university district of the city and the city itself . I should point out that although it appears an old building from the outside it is actually maintained to a reasonably good standard. Our only gripe is that you only get one pillow on each bed we had and although beds were very comfy , it can be a bit low when settling down to sleep. Will hopefully come again in the future.

This hotel is conveniently located for de Montforte Hall. ln need of a major injection of cash to refurbish it. Looks like a limited cash injection has yielded limited results.

This was a good place to stay because it was really a short walk to the De Montford Hall for Concerts will do it again in the future.

The inside of the room was very decent. The staff member named Sai (I think) was very very helpful and had great customer service!

Wanted a refund after reading reviews about bed bugs, hotel point blank refused even though my friend is allergic to insect bites. Was forced to book another room for my friend at a different hotel, and yes, there were bed bugs EVERYWHERE and the hotel is full of homeless people. Disgusting hotel with rude and unhelpful staff. AVOID.

AWFUL! The place was a building site, absolutely filthy. Decided to fine us for stopping in their car park because we were not paying guests as we refused to stay the night. AVOID

Being renovated, which is sorely needed. However, beds were comfortable and it was clean and mostly quiet. Overall, it was good value for money.
