Bit
of
a
mixed
bag!
We
chose
to
say
here
as
we
were
visiting
the
city
for
Radio
2
in
the
Park.
The
price
for
3
nights
was
very
affordable
at
the
time
of
booking
and
has
the
benefit
of
free
parking
too.
We
arrived
at
Friday
tea
time
and
were
checked
in
by
Hayley.
Hayley
was
great,
offering
us
lots
of
tips
about
the
local
area
and
had
a
really
positive
energy.
We
checked
into
our
twin
room
(room
11)
on
the
ground
floor
and
were
pleasantly
surprised.
No,
it’s
not
particularly
modern
but
it
was
clean
and
spacious.
We
were
on
the
‘quiet’
side
of
the
hotel
away
from
the
main
road
and
pub
next
door.
We
didn’t
spend
much
time
in
our
room
of
course
but
we
did
find
our
sleep
to
be
quite
significantly
affected
due
to
the
design
of
the
hotel.
The
room
divisions
have
absolutely
no
soundproofing
whatsoever.
You
can
hear
the
hollowness
when
you
tap
on
the
wall.
We
had
very
quiet
neighbours
on
the
Friday
but
could
hear
every
word
of
the
couple
next
to
us
conversations
on
the
Saturday.
This
went
on
til
1am
and
started
with
phone
calls
again
at
7am
on
Sunday
morning.
They
may
as
well
have
been
in
the
room
with
us.
This,
coupled
with
the
creakiest
floorboards
in
the
rooms
above
made
for
a
tiring
weekend.
I’m
not
sure
if
the
cleaners
closet
was
above
us
but
it
was
constant
marching
around
each
morning.
Thankfully
my
ear
plugs
could
depress
much
of
that
noise.
I
did
mention
our
neighbours
to
Hayley
and
she
very
kindly
made
some
changes
so
we
wouldn’t
be
disturbed
as
much
on
the
Sunday
night.
She’s
an
asset
to
the
company.
I
just
can’t
understand
why
Travelodge
hasn’t
done
anything
about
the
noise
issues
as
it
seems
to
be
the
crux
of
so
many
reviews
and
I
can
only
imagine
the
hassle
staff
must
deal
with
on
a
daily
basis.
It
could
be
a
really
lovely
place
to
stay
with
a
bit
of
investment.
