Fabulous hotel in a perfect location. Check in was very easy and all the staff were friendly. Excellent value especially with the added bonus of a car park. We were allowed to leave our car in the car park after check out whilst we went for lunch at no extra cost. If you are visiting Leicester for whatever reason you can’t go wrong with St Martin’s lodge. The rooms and bathroom in particular were wonderful.

Lovely rooms in a developed Georgian townhouse opposite the Cathedral. No breakfast or restaurant, but very well presented rooms, secure parking and a very convenient location. Check in is in the visitors centre opposite the front of the Cathedral, less than 50m from the lodge where the rooms are. I stayed in room 209 for £129 and was delighted. Although, there is no restaurant there are many good options less than 5 minutes walk away.

Beautiful rooms, lovely building, great location, stayed for a single night with my partner. Having stayed during the heatwave and being on the second floor, it was far to hot to be comfortable. The bed was hot to touch, as was just about everything else in the room and bathroom. The windows cannot be opened beyond the safety catches which is not much at all and it’s often commented that AirCon cannot be installed but yet it can be installed given it’s on certain parts of the building. The Dyson fan only succeeds in pushing the hot air around which can barely escape through the small gaps in the windows. Would come back but only during Winter months.

Went for a wedding. Location was right opposite the cathedral and wedding venue at the Guildhall. Rooms very modern.

Situated in a beautiful part of the city, opposite the cathedral, Richard iii and a short walk to some lovely restaurants and bars in St.Martins Square. The hotel is beautifully presented. Stylish and clean. The room had everything we needed. All staff very welcoming, kind and helpful. Free parking! And once you’ve booked in you have access to a door that opens out into the car park to grab all your stuff. Most definitely will stay again when in Leicester. Highly recommend it.

Left my very expensive face wash in the bathroom. Called to let them know and the first person I spoke to said they’d have a look and that if it was lost I’d be reimbursed. After two weeks and no contact, I called back only to be told by someone else that i actually won’t be reimbursed and that it wasn’t left there because housekeeping “would’ve put it in lost and found”. Well clearly not, if it’s not there and I 100% left it there. Someone obviously realised it was an expensive and very much brand new face wash and then decided to keep it. I’ll just buy another one it’s not a huge deal but just be careful when leaving things behind as you’ll be promised one thing and then told another after your belonging is stolen. The business have now responded to this response chatting absolute rubbish as expected. I’m sure phone calls are recorded so if your memory is failing you or if you want to lie, just listen back to the call and it’s that simple. Any “legal action” you want to take will only work in my favour so feel free to use this as my statement. Disgrace of a business and your “integrity”. Do your worst.

This has to be the best hotel in Leicester! It’s clean, quiet & friendly. The bedroom was lovely and the shower is very relaxing. Car parking is hassle free. It is a 5 minute walk to High Cross Shopping Centre so the location is great. I’m giving 4/5 because the room was quite cold. I would also recommend putting handwash in the bathroom. We will be visiting again and I have recommend it to family :)

No tissues in box and one large glass had a very big crack in it.. Other wise lovely place.. could do with more tea bags rather then just 2 for 2 people

Celebrated the night before a close friends wedding here and got ready the morning of and was so impressed with the rooms really clean and tidy and beautiful. The staff were absolutely fantastic, so accommodating and understanding about later check outs, due to the hectic nature of the day. The only downsides were the car park was great, but very hard to find. Also it was hot due to the heatwave, but to be honest once the fan was on it was great as it was pretty effective!

Lovely building, good location, parking at rear. Reception is in adjacent building. Unfortunately we stayed same night as local function and had an extremely hyper youngster running and squealing between rooms adjacent to us from 11pm onwards. Family also had room doors wide open and various people coming and going and sitting chatting and playing games with youngster. We were very glad when they all finally went to bed at 2.30am. Just one of those things. We did debate phoning the emergency contact phone number but kept thinking not emergency and wee one would want to go to bed eventually.

Huge stunning room, beautifully designed and decorated. the room had everything we needed. really enjoyed the self-service elevator which was a blessing with the luggage we had. Lovely location right in the heart of the city centre. free spacious, safe parking on-site which leads into the hotel (once checked-in with room keys)- I'd suggest checking in first and then collecting luggage. Disliked · slightly confused with the check in operation (which is labelled around the hotel building entrances) Check-in is in the business centre across the road but didn't take anything away from the pleasant stay we had. Also with the price, you would expect breakfast included.

Check in (and esp. parking) extremely confusing. If you have an IQ higher than 150 you should be fine. Otherwise, call ahead and seek help, or allow an hour to sort this confusion out. Good luck! EDIT: P.S. the reply to this review says that everything was made clear in advance. When I tried to enter the designated car-park I was turned away by an electronic voice at the gate. So I turned back and desperately tried to park my large motorbike in a dangerous place on a one way street. But it turned out that I WAS allowed in - it was the correct car park, but the 'voice at the gate' simply didn't bother to ask me if I was a hotel resident. I should have been allowed in immediately. Maybe middle-aged academics on a motorbike like myself don't look right for that car park? Check in is also actually not at the property. So after some trailing around, desperately worried about my bike and its dangerous parking, I was allowed into the car park. So nice work with your alleged clarity St Martins. I was also early, and told I'd get a mobile call when my room was ready - this didn't happen. I have reduced my review to 1 star in light of your poor response to a genuinely confusing and unsatisfactory check-in.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Decor and comfort of the rooms was beautiful. We were looking for a cheap place to stop in the city and I was shocked that the offer was cheaper than Holiday Inn. This was far far nicer and I would come back. The reception is in a separate building and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. Ensured that we knew they were available for all of our needs and also encouraged us to use the carpark to our liking, come and go as many times as we like and continue use even after check out! Really made our trip :)

Lovely hotel. Couldn't fault room clean and airy with nice high ceilings. Right in the centre of Leicester. Only a little bit of noise from the street below as people walked past, but much less than expected. Only downside is no food prepared on site. Nice secure parking.

Wonderful stay. Great location and a superb room. They have managed to blend modern facilities into a Georgian building really well. Cleanliness and comfort are second to none, staff friendly. Took us a while to find the car park, trundling around Leicester's narrow streets and one-way system for a while as although the Lodge is on Peacock Lane, we weren't aware that the car park is around the back of the hotel and is accessed from New Street at the side! Overall very happy and would stay again.

Brilliant central location and easy to find- once we had sought help from Reception to find the car park! Free parking was a real bonus too. We had a lovely room and found we had everything we needed nearby. The only downside for us was being in the room right next to the main door, so we were woken up several times in the night. That was a real shame as the room and bed was lovely. Would recommend!

Nice place, clean. Nice room. Private parking space. On check in you can keep the card keys until you have the check out. I love this.

Lovely clean and fresh room in the cathedral quarter - right across the street from the cathedral and Richard III exhibition. No restaurant - but plenty of choice very close by. Check in staff very helpful. Car park onsite. Really nice, convenient place to stay.

This is a wonderful hotel in a charming building right opposite the cathedral. Beautiful rooms, immaculately clean, fantastic location and the staff were so warm and helpful. We will 100% be back!

A lovely old building situated close to the Cathedral and the Richard third visitors centre. We stayed in 108 and I must say what a beautiful room it is. Very well furnished and extremely comfortable. Check in was smooth and the staff polite and professional. We didn't want to leave and will certainly return.

Lovely place for a night or two away, beautifully decorated and right in the Center.

The place is beautiful - great rooms and bathrooms. It’s just too hot and we couldn’t sleep. We were sweating non-stop. They supplied a fan thankfully but we could only open the windows two inches. If they had air conditioning, it’d be a 5* review. Bit noisy at the back. The location is second to none.

Beautiful boutique hotel right next to the cathedral. After a very stressful day and a sat nav that had other plans, Nigel saved the day and got in my car to direct me to the car park. When I couldn’t find it, after 3 attempts. Very grateful to him and all the lovely staff. Massive thumbs up for the nespresso machine in the room too.

Lovely room, nice view of the cathedral, conveniently located, warm and clean. The walls are quite thin though, and it was bell practice night at the cathedral, which was nice the first couple of times, but not for just over 2hrs. I would book again.

The room was lovely the bathroom especially 😍. Location is great. The only slight downside the bells from the cathedral was ringing for 30 minutes on a Sunday morning 😴. Will definitely return though

The room was lovely, very large and tastefully furnished. We found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The location is superb and very peaceful despite being in the city centre. Thoroughly recommend. We will definitely return.
