Great Stay at Holiday Inn. My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn in Wigston, Leicester, and I must say it was a truly delightful experience from start to finish. We booked two rooms online and were thrilled with the outstanding service we received right from the moment we arrived. Despite arriving an hour before the official check-in time, the reception staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. They promptly allocated our rooms, ensuring we didn't have to wait around, which we greatly appreciated after a long journey. Their warm and friendly demeanour set the tone for our stay and made us feel instantly welcomed. As we entered our rooms, we were pleasantly surprised by their cleanliness and the overall quality. The bathrooms were spotless, and the fresh linen added a touch of luxury. Given the weather, the air conditioning provided a much-needed respite, ensuring we remained comfortable throughout our stay. The convenience of the hotel's car park can not be understated. It was spacious and well-maintained, giving us peace of mind knowing that our vehicle was secure. This attention to detail was a testament to the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction. One highlight of our stay was the complimentary breakfast, which was included in our reservation. The variety and quality of options were truly impressive. Whether you had specific dietary requirements or simply desired a hearty breakfast, there was something for everyone. The attentive staff ensured that all the dishes were replenished promptly, ensuring a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience. Overall, our experience at Holiday Inn Wigston was nothing short of exceptional. The friendly and efficient service, clean and comfortable rooms, convenient car park, and delicious breakfast all contributed to a truly memorable stay. We were thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail and the staff's commitment to making our time there as enjoyable as possible. We highly recommend Holiday Inn Wigston to anyone seeking a top-notch hotel experience in Leicester. Whether for business or pleasure, this hotel goes above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction. We are grateful for the wonderful memories we made during our stay and look forward to returning in the future.

Surprisingly run down looking from the main road this had an old Travelodge feel about it when we drove in. Once inside though the service was great, room was one of the best at any level with decent lighting, large bed, sensible spacious layout and plug sockets in the obvious places including by the bed. Bathroom was a gem with shower controls at other end from shower so you don't get wet when switching on. Only thing missing was a heated mirror. Will definitely stay again. Good, quiet night's sleep too.

Nice hotel. While we were settling into our room we noticed one of the windows didn't close properly. Reported to reception and the handyman arrived within minutes. Cheerful chap who quickly sorted the problem and gave us vouchers for free drinks (not expected but very welcome). All staff are cheerful and friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast has good selection (yum!). Would stay here again.

We recently visited the UK, staying in a variety of accommodation options. This was easily the worst place we stayed in. I have no idea how this Holiday Inn views itself as a 4-star hotel, or how it gets away with being viewed as a Holiday Inn, as opposed to a lower tier Holiday Inn Express. We booked a family room, which then includes a sofa bed for up to two 'children,' up to the age of 17. The sofa bed provided is completely unsuitable for this purpose. It is simply too small, and to give you a sense of width, there is not sufficient space to put two pillows side by side. A special mention goes to the lovely staff member at reception, who then placed us in a larger room. This was really appreciated but there was still a need to check if a larger room was available. We would otherwise have been left with a sofa bed that is, at best, suitable for children under the age of 10; I suspect there is an issue here with the Trade Descriptions Act. With its 'Holiday Inn' status, the room was also relatively expensive and we then paid extra for breakfast. The breakfast area felt chaotic, with a lot of different people with different leisure and working needs all using the same space (including a company that had their own open desk space and a meeting being held at bellowing levels). Tables were left uncleared and the limited breakfast options on offer were no better than those provided by a Holiday Inn Express. The food itself was really unpleasant, again the worst experience we had of any breakfast offering during our stay.

Expensive. Bathrooms very tatty and in need of refit, lots of limescale/ staining, but the shower works well. Had an executive room which is bigger than standard but strange layout as can't see TV from sofa. Bed is larger but not very comfy. Room very cold with no proper heating. Seem short on staff in bar/ coffee area. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Lovely place, the rooms were clean and spacious, the staff were welcoming and very helpful. No lifts but it only has two levels so two small flights of stairs was no hardship even after a few drinks. The bar area is well laid out and the in-house restaurant serves a good variety of food. Ample parking and dog friendly though a deposit can be taken but is refundable at the end of your stay as long as no damage is done to the room. I'll stay again.

Service Great, Room clean, view was awful / looking straight into peoples homes and gardens and having them look back. Bed wise I requested Queen size but to be honest I'd call it a standard double, but can't grumble as I paid the same price. Pillows were a bit harder than I liked. Breakfast was good and Service was especially good for that.

Ya great stay. Aircon was a wonderful thing during these hot summer days. The bed was lovely. We did have an exec suite so it was larger than most probably and did come with complimentary bar fridge drinks & mini-wines. Staff were excellent upon entry also. Great holiday inn experience.

I planned my wedding event and have stayed numerous times . Staff are very welcoming especially Chev. She was amazing and really looked after me. As a bride I had no stress at all as she took care of the wedding plans and ensured everything ran smoothly. Would highly recommend this venue for a wedding/ party. I really do appreciate everything Chev has done for me.

We have just spent a lovely weekend at the hotel while visiting family in the area. We were three adults and a dog using two rooms. The hotel is impeccable and the staff so friendly. The rooms are finished to a modern standard and spotlessly clean. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt very welcomed. It was such a bonus to have Bella Italia on site and we ate there Friday and Saturday night. Plus Starbucks coffee available to drink in or takeaway. The breakfast had so much choice including gluten free options and even make your own pancakes!! We didn't use the gym but we made use of the electric car chargers. The location is also really good with Knighton Park only 2 minutes walk away. Perfect for walking the dog. We will definitely return. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Superb service could not find fault with anything. Had my mum's 90th birthday party there and it could not have gone better. Stayed and the room was top class. The staff are so friendly and efficient. Would like to thank all of them and have to mention Louis. Could go on but in a nutshell would recommend to anyone.

What an amazing surprise to have a supreme level of service. It all started with the staff, who were so welcoming and accommodating, considering we had our pet Scottie with us. Everybody from housekeeping to waitstaff said hello to us and our doglet. Great experience. highly recommended it. A great dog park adjacent to the parking lot.

Arrived to check in at 4pm on Boxing Day. There was nobody in reception but we only had to wait a few minutes before we greeted by a cheerful receptionist. Our room was on the first floor, just a short flight of stairs. It was very clean, had a responsive heating system and even better - windows that opened! A rare treat in hotels. The bed was comfy, the shower was superb and the towels were a decent size! We would definitely stay here again and thoroughly recommend it.

Here for my niece's wedding. Excellent location and services. Rooms of a very high standard with a fridge, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast can be requested on check in if not purchased when booking.

Absolutely Disgusting Hotel……. Where do I start from…. Having stayed at many Holiday In’s this has to be by far the worst, including the customer service and management skills towards the customers. I checked into the hotel late on The 25th Aug 2022, immediately spotted a massive spider web in our room, with a huge spider stuck to it. Immediately informed the reception desk, no one turned up to our room to have a look or at the least offer to change us rooms. I have videos and pictures to prove this. My wife has huge phobia with spiders. She practically didn’t sleep all night. It doesn’t get any better…. The following morning we had a late checkout, although the checkout is usually at 12pm We had a room clearner barge into our room around 9.30am without knocking on the room and waiting for me to answer…. How rude & inappropriate is that? Around 11am another cleaner bargers into our room, whilst my wife is getting dresses. No knocks on the door, no apology from the cleaner. Immediately took this up with the manger on duty who was very unprofessional, clearly has no manner how to speak to guests. She tried to defend the cleaners, then changed her tone to say they are subcontract cleaners. Regardless who they are, they must knock on the door. My wife was so annoyed & angry, her blood pressure increased really hight. I manager promised to escalate this matter further an promise to have the higher management contact us. Till today its been over 1month and no updates from anyone. This hotel it pretty much a hostel level. Nowhere near hotel standards. Wish I’d stayed at Premier Inn, they provide great service aswell as take pride in keeping the rooms clean and tidy… Extremely disappointed…. Avoid this hotel at all costs… Malida

This must be one of the best hotels where I have been. The rooms are very clean and wide enough to accommodate your needs. The bed is quite soft and comfortable for a good night sleep. The staff is very nice and they are ready to serve you. However, there is a synchronisation problem with their system. I booked a room on their website, and when I came to check-in the hotel was full, which does not really make sense. If they can fix that, it would be worth a 5 stars service. For food and drink, there is a nice restaurant near the reception which can also be used as a good meeting area.

Staff were lovely! Quite fun to talk to and got our drinks quickly and efficiently. They felt for like one of the party more than staff members. Did their jobs and made the wedding memorable (unless the alcohol we all had makes us forget). Thanks so so much!!

I arranged a surprise “get together “ for my partner’s 60th and from the moment I called to arrange everything ( we had 20 visitors from all over the UK) until the second we checked out, the service and attention to detail were 5*! Magda was an amazingly helpful and professional receptionist and Chantal co-ordinated our stay and the food. I don’t know the name of the chef, unfortunately, but our buffet was outstanding- hardly a morsel left! The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds comfortable, breakfast lovely and overall no complaints whatsoever! A perfect stay from start to finish! And SO handy for the racecourse. Thank you, thank you, thank you- highly recommended and very reasonably priced! We’ll definitely come again!!!

The air con is bloody marvellous. The best!!!!!! Needed an affordable stop off to break up a long drive, WITH AIR CON WEATHER WAS SWELTERING. ROOM NEEDED TO BE FUNCTIONAL BUT DECENT. It was perfect. On arrival no one was manning reception. Chap in cafe was cheerful, said he couldn't check us in but went of to find someone. Receptionist was very apologetic and delightful. Loads of magazines to help yourself. They had a wedding going on in their suite, heard no noise, looked like it was going well. Didn't stay for breakfast left early to beat the heat. Room was perfectly acceptable. Had a sofa too. Well designed. Just off the M1. About £110 I think.

Excellent two night stay here whilst visiting Leicester. All the staff were very polite and professional. Special mention to Magda for her help in sorting out our booking prior to our stay. The location is just off the main road but there wasn't any traffic noise. Our executive room was clean and well furnished with a safe and refrigerator. Twenty minute bus ride into Leicester from outside the hotel. Good hot breakfast and dinner in the attached Bella Italia restaurant. Would definitely stay again.

A fab stay, made all the more memorable by the warm, friendly welcome we received from all the staff we met. A lovely team supported by great service, with fresh and clean facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner at the hotel and the breakfast was lavish. Pancakes were amazing and all food was tasty and topped up regularly. Well done all!
