It’s taken me a little while to write this review because I’ve failed to come up with the words I can use to describe staff that dealt with me during my stay at Days Inn, Forest East M1 and what they did for me and my Son. I travelled to Leicester from Cornwall and to cut a very long story short, so many dreadful things happened to me on my journey, I was a broken Woman by the time I arrived at this hotel and during a day out the next day things didn’t get any better for me. I’m usually a very strong Woman but I was pretty much on my knees in the reception of the hotel the day after arriving and ready to drive back to Cornwall with disastrous life changing memories, then a staff member called, Lorraine took me and my severely disabled Son under her wing and just managed to make everything alright. Her kindness was phenomenal, she made the very improbable probable so not only did I come home with wonderful memories of our stay but my new outlook on human kindness. Don’t think twice about staying at the Days Inn Leicester Forest East M1. I can’t promise the staff performing miracles for you but I can guarantee that they will try if that’s what you require. Thank you so much Day’s Inn and thank you for Lorraine.

I Only Stayed Overnight Because I Was At A Comedy Gig Upstairs At The Western In Leicester City Centre. The Service I Received Was Fantastic, I Asked For A Taxi To Be Booked And Received A Courtesy Call To Say That It Would Be Outside In A Few Minutes. I Left My iPhone Charger In The Room And After Sending Them A Prepaid Envelope, It’s On It’s Way To My Home In Yorkshire. My Charger Arrived As Promised And I Can Now Breathe A Sigh Of Relief. Again Days Inn @ Welcome Break Leicester Forest East Is The Place To Stay If You Are A Weary Traveler On Business Or As I Was Returning From A Gig.

We had a room booked for 1night on our way to Yorkshire so we could rest. The good things about our stay were that it was on M1, the receptionists, both day and night were friendly and kind and the room was clean. However we were given a room on the ground floor…024. The corridor had a horrible damp smell. The room faced the big trucks which were pulling in and out and I think there was a generator .. it was very noise. So instead of resting, I actually had a migraine from the constant noise and was sick in the morning. So it would be good if when advertising for the room, the noise level is mentioned so people can decide if they can sleep in noise or not before they book it.

I must thank the staff for helping us with the navigation- sat nav takes you to premier inn but should show right at baynes lane (just before premier inn) and take the next right , cross the bridge and follow the road to reach here - should see welcome break signs. If you see welcome break southbound, you are on the wrong side. 4 for location is only because of the navigation issues. Although it was hard to navigate, affordable rooms and eateries within the place - burger King, kfc, noodles, Starbucks are some to mention. Waitrose and whsmith are within the same building if you need a quick shop. The room had a nice double bed and a single bed with tv, kettle, storage space, ironing table and a desk with a not so comfortable chair but who cares about it. The bed was comfortable. Bath tub and decent sized bathroom as well. I wasn't expecting this much for the price. Overall you have everything for a perfect night sleep.

The staff are really friendly. I am concerned about the "residents" that are placed in there but I've visited at least 4 hotels recently and they are all the same. Its filled with "vulnerable tenants" and tenants that smoke in their hotel rooms.. And the plant based kind.

Perfect business traveller hotel. Everything you need, no unnecessary frills, clean, safe, comfortable, handy parking, wifi, straight on the motorway but quiet. And a good value breakfast if you want one.

Incredible Value, perfect for traveling South to North for Business. Absolutely no traffic noise and I was in one of the front facing rooms.

I had a pleasant experience at this service station. The staff was very friendly and provided good service throughout my visit. The only drawback was the location, which was a bit inconvenient as I had to take a detour around the motorway to reach the next exit for my return journey. The service station itself was okay, but I did notice the absence of popular food outlets like Greggs or McDonald's, which could have added to the overall convenience. However, I understand that it might be the cheapest option available, which was essential for me at the time due to the urgency of my travel needs. Overall, despite a few minor inconveniences, the nice and friendly staff, along with the satisfactory service, made my stop at this service station a decent one.

Always receive a great welcome on arrival where staff can't do enough to help you enjoy your stay, regardless of how brief it might be. Facilities on hand are excellent and all that's needed. Ten years plus I have been visiting with family and friends over the years, our final weekend destination may have moved from Lutterworth to Coventry but location, value for money and friendly staff see us returning to this hotel as our base every year. Enjoy ....

Booked the wrong night, arrived at the hotel and was told they were fully booked, fair enough. Explained the situation and was told by the receptionist to wait for the manager. The manager came out and said they will process a refund for the room, not to worry. At this point I left the hotel and continued on my journey. Only the next day to be told they won’t be refunding the money, despite what I was told. Tried to get in contact with the via the phone, kept being put on hold. When I eventually got through to a manager, he was really rude. Customer service is shocking, lied on multiple occasions. Definitely don’t recommend staying here.

Spacious clean rooms but very loud outside, not great for light speakers as rooms are based outside a 24 hour petrol station on one side so theres a constant stream of car engines and doors on one side of the building.

Pulled in at 1am , too tired to drive and they gave me a room straight away. Decent room, service and price. Very useful for motorway hotels to take bookings through the night; helps with road safety.

We stayed here on the night of October 29th and had a very good experience. Excellent service from Tarlek who gave us a ground-floor room near the entrance having originally checked us into a first-floor room. Excellent Chinese food in the nearby food court. We will use this hotel again.

The room was HOT but thankfully there was a powerful fan in there. Shower pressure was good. However, fluctuated between hot and cold. Perfect location for our visit

I visit Leicester a few times a year and always try and stay at the Days Inn as I find it the best value and convenient. Some of the rooms have fridges which is very handy and there's also a microwave and toaster in the reception area. It's these little touches which make this hotel stand out from the others. The rooms and beds are comfortable, tend to be in the warm side but I prefer this. There are really no downsides to staying here.

It's a budget hotel, so was happily surprised to see s small seating area at the front, with a bar at reception. A few tables outside were a nice touch as well. Lift was very small, rooms were as expected and fairly clean. Though there were old bottles of water and rubbish under the bed. The bathroom was clean but there was definitely "a smell", not awful but noticeable. Biggest issue by far was the temperature though. It was about 23 degree when we stayed and the room was unbearably hot. The window open about 2 inches and there was a fan in the room, but the room was absolutely boiling. Honestly can't imagine what it would be like if it were hotter outside

I stayed for 2 days in. This hotel , rooms were nice clean and spacious . The staff is fantastic. I had lost my gold ring in the room , they rang me back when they found it . I was so surprised with this gesture . Who returns gold ring ?? I want to thank the staff and specially the person who cleaned the room . It’s hard to find such honesty now a days

Fantastic value for money. Neat and tidy. Towels and toiletries in the bathroom were spot on. Bar and restaurant next to the hotel. Easy access via hotels reception. We didn't use it. Location is actually brilliant, if you are on the move. M1 Leicester Forest East services. Access northbound come off on the slip road. M1 southbound. Come off junction 20. M69/Fosse park. Then follow roundabout all the way round, re joining motorway northbound. Come off quarter of a mile northbound. Easy

Staff were so friendly and the place kept very clean. Also considering your next to a major motor way you couldn't tell, the beds were comfortable and a good night's sleep was had by all would definitely recommend it

Spacious comfortable room with a lovely big bathroom. Easy check in and out. It was nice having the reception manned through the night, especially reassuring as the hotel is part of the services. Excellent service all around!

Room window was not sealing when closed so could hear traffic but left luggage on handle which helped seal them and made quieter. Beware of this on ground floor rooms. Staff were really nice and helpful and right on the services so access to food was easy and convenient.

It was booked through work, but not convenient as it was on the motorway. Not really the fault of the hotel, but if you don't have your own transport, there isn't a lot to do, and there were no transport links into Leicester etc The rooms were basic, but perfectly adequate. Clean and tidy, and plenty big enough. The staff were all very friendly and helpful I have no idea if this place was good value, as I didn't pay for it, so it's difficult to judge value for money, but all the takeaways and shops were massively over priced

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. We were truly shocked by the lack of hygiene and upkeep of the hotel room. It was dirty, especially in the bathroom. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was very very hot; with no means of proper ventilation. Therefore we had terrible nights sleep. When we checked out, the person on the desk didn’t ask about our stay or if we had any complaints or compliments. In fact it seemed like she just wanted to get rid of us. We were also shocked to see that my car had been vandalised in the car park. When I informed the check in staff they stated that the cctv didn’t cover the car park and that I needed to speak to someone else about it, she pointed at someone but never went and asked them for us. Again she didn’t seem bothered at all. The damage to my car will come to around £100, and it certainly happened in their car park. I was told to inform the police but without cctv the police said it was pointless. We contacted the hotel to express our dissatisfaction but they never replied!

Spent very close to 3 weeks here. Missing our stay even now. Tariek and all the staff were so lovely. They were so welcoming. Miss our room (008). Definitely would stay here again and would definitely recommend

Worst hotel I ever stayed in. Dirty, dust all over the room. Noise all night long, it is 01:35am and I haven’t closed my eyes for a second. Upstairs guest is disgraceful person doesn’t know how to walk without being kindly and gentle instead it is like jumping around the room, having shower and making lots of noise. This hotel needs improvement, double glass windows would do a massively difference from the noise that comes from trucks outside running their engines all night. Staff receptionist could ask the guest to be respectful during night ours specially if they check in very late. I have to be at work 7am and I am just here crying because I don’t know how I will get through a long work day without having a decent night of sleep

Reliable, basic option for a couple of nights if you want to travel around the Midlands. We used it as our base for trips to various places in the Birmingham area for the Commonwealth Games. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but very hot in summer. Plenty of food options in the neighbouring services

We stayed here last night after travelling up from gloucester. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman, tarlik who was very friendly & welcoming. The room was clean & tidy, & the beds were extremely comfy. To add to comfort we also had a fan in our room. Thank you so much for having us 😉

We booked in for a night here after looking for a place for two adults and two children. It was the only place I could find with one double bed and two singles in one room. It was clean and tidy, albeit very simple. Others have complained about the rooms being too warm and too noisy from the truck park. However, we were on the ground floor looking on to the truck park and didn’t find the noise too bad. It was a little warm, but with the window open and the fan on, it was manageable. All in all, it’s a perfectly reasonable place to stay for the night.

I stayed here for 1 night with my children and was greeted by Sherrie at reception who was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Sherrie helped me with opening doors and fetched a spare blanket for me when asked if I could have one for the travel cot. Very efficient lady and all round good at her job, but her warm and friendly personality is what gives her that extra special touch. She's a real asset to you company. The premises on the whole is extremely clean and tidy and seems to be well organised, as was our room. On arrival the travel cot, which I had previously requested on the booking, was all set up and the room was nice and warm with the heater on low. The beds are really comfy and overall this hotel offers excellent value for money. We had a lovely stay and slept very well. Fantastic find. We shall book again.
