Went to watch Boxxer Series Lightweights i must say it was a Fantastic Evening, the whole experience was great and the atmosphere was brilliant. The boxing was thrilling to watch and kept you on the edge of your seat. The beer prices was steep but to be expected paid £6 for half pint and £10 for a pint. I also had a Papa John's pizza that I paid £15 for a large cheese & tomato. Food was nice and was cooked fresh. Overall we had a great night for this boxing event

Very poor experience. The skates were so blunt I fell just from the blades slipping and hurt myself. When asking for another pair the office said they can't guarantee they'll be any better, and they were just as bad. They charge twice the rate I used to pay at Guildford Spectrum and I didn't manage to do any skating as I didn't feel safe. Very poor approach and customer service. Would not recommend to anyone actually hoping to be able to skate.

Planet Ice Coventry offers a fun skating experience, for both competitive skaters and new ones respectively. Upon arriving, parking is located down a slip road, in a multi story car park. You can however park on the path area opposite the car park without risk of a fine, as this is private land The ice dome is a standard hockey sized rink, offering seating for over 4000 people during games. Standard sessions however are often limited to 300-400 people. There is skate hire (£2), penguins (£6), seals (£6) and polar bears (£6) for an additional charge. The hire skates are often incredibly blunt, it may take you a few tries to find the right skate. For non-skating attendees, there are machines for cold drinks, hot drinks, snacks and more. Half of the machines do not take card however! The staff are friendly, although i found it is not often there is a steward on the ice to aid with people falling, or newer skaters. All in all a pleasant experience, far better than run-down Planet Ice Solihull.

Had a nice time, lots of room to fit everyone on and lots of seats. However you can only use lockers with cash and the place you give your shoes into is very small and the cue was very big so i would recommend giving your skates back and getting your shoes back about 20/30 mins from end so you don’t have to wait. Other than that it’s great fun

Great ice hockey weekend for the NIHL FINAL FOUR PLAYOFFS. The atmosphere is always great and the event team friendly. A good selection of food and drink and plenty of bars and cafés.

Rental skates here are the worst I've ever seen, I've been to pop up ice rinks with much much better skates. They where all dangerously blunt to the point where when u stand up straight your legs can splay. The staff where great tho and understood the frustration and did the best they could to find a half decent pair. The rest of the rink was as expected and pretty good just need to take your own skates

My first live game of ice hockey and I loved it, fast moving sport with lots of action, game consisted of three X 20minute periods with a 15 minutes break in-between. Adult price starts at £19. Mostly a seated stadium but there is a limited amount of standing. I drove and used the multi story car park at the rear of the ice hockey stadium which was not expensive at £1 per hour. The atmosphere in the stadium was great and very family friendly. Coventry Blaze have made the QF play offs which will be against Cardiff Devils.

Staff was polite but it cost me and my partner over 30 pounds of 3 minutes of fun due to horrible skates . Never had an issue before. Tried to change the skates but they all were either rusty and damaged. All the skates there need sharpening because it was really hard and dangerous to use them. I've been ice-skating since I was a child and I could immediately tell something is wrong. If you bring your own skates you're good. Really sad with the experience 😞

Big events like a boxing night .. rubbish can not get to bar. toilets with queues up to 30 people. people going to the toilet in the sinks stayed for one fight and left . And if you leave premises you can not get back in . Even if you show your ticket ..very poorly run . Best thing was the weather spoons next door .. if you are going to a show there I'd wait for a better venue . Poor very poor

Went here 21/02/22, for the morning session 11-1:30. Firstly there was a small queue to get in, so that was great, I understand that it's hard to get people inside, although you do have to pay online now. Getting skates was fantastic, no line, and the people was polite and also was fast at sorting out skates for me, without complaining as I had to swap skates. Although later on in the session there was some flirting on the ice between two teens, which the Ice Marshall didn't stop, probably was friends with the one teen as they was racing afterwards, which is unsafe, but luckily there was hardly anyone on the ice.

Great rink, nice ice, but the rental skates are appalling! They are old, not well looked after and mostly sharpened at a slant (the inside edge is lower than the outside edge....forces you to turn your ankles in). With your own skates, the place really is great. Could add a few more benches for seating when putting your skates on...maybe a bit further away from the zamboni so the floor isn't soaking wet when changing out of your shoes.

Pro's - Assistance staff on hand to help those less able. Great choice of music playing, which lifted the atmosphere. It was busy without being rammed. Overall, it was a good hour out for family. Con's - could do with the cafe/bar being open for parents, and it's not cheap.

Very expensive and very bad. The rental boots are very nasty hard plastic which will cut into your feet. The place is dirty and lacking any kind of upkeep. Don't waste your time or money. Not even worth 1 star.

It's great here. You get plenty of time on ice, the lockers are only £1. I wouldn't recommend the hire skates but they're okay if You're coming for a one-off session. Lovely staff always happy to help. More experienced skaters will often offer You a hand up if you've fallen/ask if you're alright or give some advice. Loving skating!

Visited yesterday for amateur performance of Wizard Of Oz. Friendly staff. Music / sound not loud enough (some parts were hard to hear the words). Show was fantastic but started late and the 15 min interval was closer to 30 mins.

Always a good experience here. Staff are nice and friendly. Price for skating is always good. Some days the ice is better than others, I guess it depends on the training of Coventry Blaze more than anything. But it's always good fun nonetheless. Typically doesn't get very busy so it's easy to practice different stuff on. Offer a range of lessons from group session to 1-on-1 with the coaches. Coaches are really nice and extremely helpful. Have a lot of knowledge and patience. I definitely recommend 1-on-1 coaching sessions, but they are done through the coaches themselves not planet ice.

Great place to watch hockey friendly staff and volunteers. The musical chairs in the first break was brilliant and the chuck a puck was a little different from other places I've been, which is cool to see. Only negatives the wrong team won and no jumbotron.

200+ people an a small “piece of ice” with a lot of kids that are falling at your feet. It is a hazard to ice skate here. The skates that you are “renting” here are slippery on the ice instead of cutting through. Not recommended

Take my daughter her for an hour and a half skate session. She loved it. Skate aid hire is a bit expensive tho as you only got an hour before having to pay again. Food was.good but waited 30 mins. Would look at going back tho.

Very good for beginners as it's a very large area for ice skating. Very cheap and worth the price as I went for 2 hours for £10. Only downside are the hire skates were very uncomfortable and gave me and my friends blisters. Other than that, I definitely recommend going.

First time for me! I absolutely loved it! I fell countless times and got run over but we had so much fun ! Definitely worth a try....quick note : the next day is pain everywhere!

Kids had a wonderful time is the reason for the 4 stars. Opened and closed the rink on schedule. Health and safety were well observed and I saw the staff moving around taking care of this. Why not a 5*? When we decided that it was time to eat, we waited over 30 minutes for a hot dog and fries!!? What? Why? Did you not know you'd be busy on a Saturday? It was quite ridiculous but we eventually got the food which was decent enough though pricey for what it was. Do better.

Went to watch the ice hockey just to see what it's like. Very impressed and well worth the visit enjoyable night out bit longer than I was expecting but that's my bad for doing my research. Highly recommend it.

We have enjoyed learning to skate at Planet Ice! It is a good facility with all the services you might want: skate hire, lessons, food counter, convenient parking. We bought our own skates after 3 visits because hiring is not a good idea long term. Skating is not easy for beginners but Planet Ice have staff on the rink to make sure beginners are safe. Overall, a great way to spend quality time with the family!

Outrageous. The staff does not reflect the image Place Ice is meant to give. They refused a refund I claimed for wrong service and were not keen to give me a receipt, I paid 27pounds to get in and straight out with my son who was crying for painful and scratched feet in less than 3min, other customers were lame when walking back to the exit.

Timings for foods are ridiculous. Lesson only takes 30 mins and then it takes 45 minutes for a sausage sandwich and a hot chocolate. I would rather have a reduced price and not have to wait all that extra time for the mediocre food.

Skate lessons are great, the teachers are very approachable. Public skate should be discounted for members, but this doesn't come up on the app. The toilets are absolutely disgusting and the papa John's needs an overall, I sat and had a meal with my child on mother's day, listening to staff shouting and swearing in the kitchen. I don't expect this in a restaurant where children are eating it was appalling. We shall never eat there again.

Book tickets on line if you can as it is a bit cheaper! But you can turn up, like we did, and pay on the door and hire skates. For youngsters and older beginners you can also hire penguins or polar bears to aid stability. My granddaughter loved hers and really enjoyed her first go at ice-skating. Need £1 for a locker.
