We very much enjoyed listening to the knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide telling about the history and construction of the church. Absolutely recommend booking this stavkirke tour. But plan on spending some time too in the modern fascinating museum and the traditional houses in the grounds. If you have children, they will absolutely love taking a boat down through the model canal locks. All in all, a wonderful place for all ages

One of the oldest stave church in Norway. There is a museum nearby. Guided tour with museum tickets, ticket price 130 NOK in 2023. If you are near Dalen, must visit.

Beautiful small stavkirke, the only way to visit it is with a tour ticket from the museum.

Very nice church, I never seen black color church and look stunning like this. We went there for a while and enjoyed with view and ancient style if church. Recommend visit here! For see nice place like this.

Secluded and beautiful location and gorgeous stave church. The place doesn't feel like a tourist magnet and the access to the church's grounds is free and unbarred. Lovely. (Little reminder : like all stave churches – or legally, any building – drone use is not permitted in its direct vicinity fly responsibly and according to laws in place).
