My experience as well as few of our friends' has been negative in Ely Winestore Maynooth. Every time we come to buy coffee and order at the till, there is a negative atmosphere among the stuff, they seem to be bickering among themselves, they never smile and at times it makes me feel that I am bothering them with my order. It is such a disspointment because the coffee tastes great and I have had positive experiences in other Ely branches in Dublin, but I will bring my business elsewhere as a result of these recent encounters.

Here for lunch on Saturday recently. I had the eggs and avocado on toasted bread and it was delicious. My friend had the fish and chips and honestly the portion size of the fish was ridiculously small for the price. Service was first class and ambiance was very good.

A beautiful setting with fantastic food, but the service was a bit lacklustre. Amazing location and the layout of the restaurant is fantastic but the service felt as if it was a chore for them to deal with us. Came as a family for lunch and even drinks took 15/20 minutes to arrive. I believe there was a shift change halfway through and there was a noticeable difference in quality of service but the food was amazing and I think that makes a big difference. Assumably it was just Saturday morning and long hours that led to the poor service but this restaurant could be fantastic and it is a welcome addition to maynooth, definitely recommended especially if you’re overstimulated by the other non pub-grub options.

Another visit! Again Ely never never disappoints! Chicken on Blaa with fries and glass of wine! Very reasonably priced. Great for a Saturday lunch! Fantastic food. Great service and very reasonable prices. A must visit if you are in Maynooth!

Delicious food, great ambiance and lovely staff. Everything was perfect. The pork chop was incredibly tasty and the cheese board is definitely a must try.

The food was good, perhaps a bit pricey but no complaints overall. What I found odd was the service, wasnt bad service, everyone was polite and helpful however things were done quite oddly such as we got the food before we got cutlery, we got our drinks halfway through the meal so overall quite average for the price, don't think I will be coming back anytime soon given how many brilliant choices are there a stones throw away

Visited Maynooth for a wedding and booked ELY for the Friday evening. Four of us were eating and I have to say what an amazing place. Food was delicious and service was absolutely superb. If we were ever visiting again we would 100% visit again. What a fantastic place. Thank you.

The food (and wine) at Ely is just better than anywhere else around. We had a lovely evening and our waitress Emma looked after us perfectly. Would highly recommend, and we're looking forward to our next visit already.
