Super delicious food. This place has been there for a really long time and they know how to cook some seafood! All the fish comes fresh every morning which is cooked and seasoned to perfection. Check out the governor's table. Where DeSantis likes to sit. Just so you're not surprised it can get very busy and fill up very quickly and the food is on the pricey side, but its so yummy.

Parents took us here for the first time back in 1997-98, when our kids were tiny !! Now after their passing we still come to visit Naples like a second home and Grouper and Chips is a place we still enjoy. If you've never been here give it a try but be patient. If you like seafood like I do get their boulabaisse !!!!!!! Wow !! Great staff and tiny inside, but man it's so worth the wait !!

BEST, BEST Grouper in SW Florida. Really enjoyed the smell , atmosphere and attentive service. ONLY minor issue IT IS a small seating restaurant= Must grow to accommodate the local patron demand

The best fish and chips in Naples! When I first moved to Naples two years ago, a local recommended Grouper and Chips to me as the best fish and chips in Naples. It did not disappoint! I ordered the two piece fried grouper and chips basket. The fish pieces were a good size, and the batter was perfectly fried and crispy. The flavor was perfect. The house made coleslaw was delicious (I love a good coleslaw) -- not too sweet, not watery, perfect flavor. It was my first time eating here and I definitely plan to return. I was able to get a table quickly for lunch, but soon a line formed, it is definitely the place to be. The front of house staff was very friendly and seemed to know many of the locals and regulars. I saw several other folks who had ordered the pasta special, which looked delicious as well, but I really wanted to try the signature grouper and chips. I highly recommend. I plan to go again.

Had some fantastic fish&chips. This was grouper. Have you this fish. Mild Taste. Absolutely lovely fish for fish&chips. Goes well with tartar sauce. They had a marinara sauce severed cold, I thought this was very interesting. But I will stick to Tatar sauce. The coleslaw was down is the best. . Ambience - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ( cozy) Service - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quality - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quantity- ⭐️⭐️⭐️ . $$ Mixed basket one piece grouper and two shrimp $20 including taxes. This is local shop. Lot of local dine in here. The service is real warm. Most of the hostess know the customers by their name.

Best experience we have ever had in Marco Island and Naples! I had the blackened grouper (pictured), my husband had the blackened grouper sandwich and our son had the popcorn shrimp. 100/100 on all three meals. Absolutely delicious. Oh, we also started out with the Scallop Corn Chowder.. WOW!!! What in the world did we eat? That was hands down the best soup I’ve ever eaten in my life. If you get one thing, GET THE SOUP!! Thank you to our amazing waitress for singing happy birthday to our boy ❤️

Fishtastic! Great local fish (Grouper) place. Setting is in a small strip location next to Tamiami Trail - lots of parking - but maybe not right in front of the place. Cozy "hometown crowded" great staff and wonderful food. Not just fish! Something for everyone.

Food has always been good ..the fish and chips (fries) is always delicious.. hot out of the fryer, and is definitely some of the best tastings fish I've had in the area.. it's a heart busting meal, with the hot grease it's cooked in but you only live once ... The cole slaw is mediocre and if more finely chopped would be better.. the cost is higher than some places but the taste makes up for it .the service is hit or miss, been in to pick up and they've been really kind and helpful but also been in when there busy and they have been not so great , I'm sure being busy can wear one out so I'm letting it slide.. the atmosphere inside is not the nicest or best and I have since the 1st time dining in decided I prefer to order to take out ..just to small and busy to get good attention from your server..now I will say dining in off season is a much different experience... You have the attention of your server, friendly and helpful compared to in season.. so I prefer ordering inside and waiting for it, as I've also ordered by phone on more than one occasion and it's been wrong, and going inside guarantees your order is right and you have all condiments.. I'd definitely recommend checking them out and enjoy.. a tip since I've also discovered ( if you don't request ) the fish is cooked thru but on the light side which when taking out can be greasy and soft .. so I ask my fish be cooked extra crispy and I don't have that issue..just a heads up if you like it that way as I do.. in general you'll enjoy and be glad you stopped in to eat..

Great Fresh Caught Fish. Their grouper is really good and tastes fresh. Their fries are just your average fries. Their conch fritters are really good. No complaints. Their service was good too; helpful and nice. Overall: 9.0/10

Limited seating, gets crowded at peak times and there isn't really anywhere to wait but stand in the parking lot. Very small location but worth it. Hush puppies apps were good, crab cake- best lump crab that we've had so far, grouper sandwich, shrimp basket- giant shrimp in their amazing batter, fries are meh (basic). Kids chicken tenders are amazing.

I'm just going to say...... yeah. I came to check this place out because I wanted some fish. When I got in the staff was generally friendly. The woman with the blonde ponytail was the one at the cashier and took my order. She was respectful for the most part. The grouper fish tasted like fish. That's it, nothing special about it. The fried zucchini tasted like fried zucchini. Nothing really special about it. So yes it did need some type of flavor added.

My wife and I walked into this place by accident, but decided to stay. The place was packed but we were attended to promptly. Great service and atmosphere. Most of the people seemed to be regulars. We ordered the linguini and the tacos; both were really good. We were extremely lucky to have found a place on a Saturday evening and will definitely return again.

Grouper & Chips is a real gem tucked away in this little storefront hole-in-the-wall. As we walked up the sidewalk from the corner, several restaurants had tables out on the sidewalk. We could see that only one of the restaurants had people seated eating on the outside tables on such a warm day in the upper 80s. We approached Grouper & Chips and saw all the occupied outside tables were the ones in front of their front door. We walked into G&C and were fortunate to find one open table that we were seated at. There were only 10 or so tables inside the tiny dining area, all filled with patrons. It is a small establishment with lots of customer interest. Within seconds, a waitress greeted us and took our order. We had the mahi and linguine that was the special from the whiteboard and Chicken Milanaise from the regular lunch menu. Both were fantastic. The fish, chicken and vegetables tasted really fresh. The lunch special saved us a few dollars, which we always like. Our waitress did a great job keeping our drinks filled and checking with us through our meal. Next time we are in Naples, we will definitely stop in again. We found another favorite.

Stopped along the way home and found this gem. Had myself the grouper sandwich and it was amazing, fresh and tasty but then again so was the coleslaw, raspberry ice tea and the key lime pie is to die for. Sharon (I spelled it correctly!) our server was outstanding. She’s super friendly, helpful and fast and a great personality !

Small family dive feel but in a good way. A hole in the wall but with a big reputation apparently because they were busy. Food came piping hot! My fish was a bit over cooked. Not as flaky, a bit hard. But the batter flavor was delicious. Coleslaw was yummy.

We came here after seeing this restaurant on a Samantha Brown travel show on PBS. So glad we did! While it is very small so you may have to wait for a table, it is worth the wait! (by the time we left there were lots of folks waiting (we noticed they do a good carry-out business). We both got the fried grouper sandwich, excellent! Great flavor of the batter, and you could taste the freshness of the fish. We also got an order of conch fritters. Also very good! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!!! Will probably go back b4 we leave SWFL.

A coworker told me I had to venture an hour south and go here. Arrived around 6pm. I did have to wait about 30 min but that wasn't bad considering it was a Sat nite at the end of Feb in Naples. A gentlemen outside told me a friend of his told him he had to have the seafood chowder so I ordered that as well as fried grouper and chips. I thought the food prices were very reasonable. The chowder was good. Great smooth consistency with little chunks of potato and fish. I dont like a real chunky chowder. For me, it was missing some seasoning but still very good. The grouper was amazing. It is fried in a tempura batter and the crunch was incredible. Some people commented the batter is thick - a little, but I found it light as it was fried to perfection. The grouper didn't need the breading - hands down, the best grouper I have ever tasted. I will order it blackened next time. Was it the best fried fish I've ever had ? Probably number 2 or 3. Was it the best grouper I've ever had ? By far. I would also suggest you save room for a piece of their made-from-scratch pies. The service was excellent. I heard two of the waitress talk about the owner as Mom so I am guessing that explains why the service is so good - they all care.

Wowwww the food and service was beyond 5 stars. Mom and Pop family owned business. Family and I are in town vacationing. I didn’t want to experience any food-chain restaurants or any over rated fancy restaurants. You can tell they are well known and popular in the community by the way people were in and out and waiting to be seated. The owner was so down to earth and staff were so pleasant and attentive even when the restaurant became super busy. We all enjoyed our meal. The blackened Grouper, fish and chips basket, and fish tacos were very flavorful. Definitely will stop by again when in town. May God bless you all and I wish you all the best and continued success.

It's a nice little local restaurant. The service is good and the food is delicious. The restaurant is in a strip mall. The restaurant is small but worth checking out. The clam shower here is yummy and a must-try. I got a cup. It is always consistently good. I like how chunky and full of flavor it is. The restaurant has the specials listed on a big board. I got the linguini with the blacken fish. It was the daily special. It was good the lemon sauce was very good. I liked it. It was a good-sized portion. The plaza has parking all around. The place is easy to find. It's a spit to have lunch.

Grouper was great. Freshly fried, piping hot, super crispy. Delicious. Fried calamari was very good. Service was good being that they were completely packed both inside and outside too. Entrees run $20 to $30 each. Dinner for 4 with tip ran us $110.

Great place to eat if you can get a table. I always get a 2 piece, one blackened and one broiled. I haven't tried the fried. Cole slaw is perfect, tartar sauce is pretty good too. I've only ordered to go once and the fish portions were noticeably smaller. Still, this is a must try place.

Amazing food, wonderful service fish was cooked to perfection French fries were delicious nice meaty potato taste definitely fresh & worth it loved it, loved cole slaw had a hint of citrus in the coleslaw delicious. Attentive servers wish I had room for a slice of key lime pie at the end we'll just have to come back and try it. We had ordered four different dinners they all were spectacular visiting here from Alaska and Wisconsin and we know fish! Portions are very well done as well ended up with plenty of leftovers. 👍😊
