If you are looking for a meal to remember in St Louis, look no further. Atmosphere is modern and clean. Menu has decadent French and Italian influences. Our server, Sonny, was very sophisticated and charming- he absolutely made the experience unforgettable with amazing wine pairings and suggestions. The food was over-the-top phenomenal, seasonings were spot-on and each part was crafted to perfection! If you aren’t sure whether or not to do the tasting menu- go for it, it is 100% worth it and you won’t regret it. Everything was above expectations. I live in Maryland but I’d travel back just to have another great meal here.

I got the lunch mixed green salads. It was a great way to get in my veggies and leafy greens, but I didn't enjoy it. I was very surprised to have cooked mushrooms and cauliflower in a fresh salad. I really wish the dinner salad (I think it has honey mustard vinaigrette) was on the lunch menu rather than this. The table bread was amazing. Was that lemon in the butter? The busboy and waiter were beyond professional and kind. I was very impressed by them. The bathroom was the cleanest restaurant bathroom I have ever been in, in Clayton. My black iced tea was delicious.

We tried their grand tasting menu, which has 8 courses. I really liked their scallop and pork, and loved the desserts! The service was superb, our waiter gave us warm reception. Thank you!

!The food was amazing We got the 4 course for 65 per person, they give you a lot of bread with the food so we took some of the food home, i was really happy from the service and the quality of the food.

What a fantastic experience! This has been the best culinary/dining experience we’ve had in quite some time (the last one being a 3-star Michelin outside D.C.). After living in Europe for a decade (Italy and Belgium), it’s hard to find food or restaurants in the U.S. that are comparable in taste, presentation, quality, etc. We’ve been to The Hill multiple times, just to be disappointed by the highly-rated “average” food. I digress; just wanted to provide context on how sophisticated our palate is and how good this place really is. From the moment we walked into the restaurant, until departing some 3 hours later (the amount of time time dinners should take), service was great…from the host stand, to the coat check, to the servers, etc. The ambiance was inviting and each member of the staff was polite and professional. It was my wife’s birthday, and she was greeted with a card at the table. We ordered the Chef’s Grand Tasting menu, BTW. I highly recommend it. We had two in our party who chose the a la carte and they were very satisfied as well. Joseph was very knowledgeable of each dish that came out, suggestions, specials and all the menu items. The owner made rounds throughout the night and made the time to stop by for a chat, which was genuine and welcoming. What a great night. It’s too bad we’re leaving the area. Otherwise, this would have become our go-to spot for years to come!

Wonderful experience, excellent service and fabulous cuisine! We were a party of 8 and everyone was happy with their drinks and food selections. We shared crab cakes, then on to our entrees. I ordered Torchio, a homemade pasta with tomatoes, pesto and crispy prosciutto. It was delicious!! I cannot wait to go back! Oh yes...the dessert...Beignets with vanilla mousseline, chocolate pistachio sauce. Oh my, tender and delicate in the amazing sauce. Superb!!

Had a really wonderful lunch here. Waiter was able to pair a wine by the glass perfectly with the entree. The initial olive oil break they bring right away is amazing. It’s really more of an Italian menu than French (at least at the moment).

Phenomenal dinner with family and friends! This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion. We did the dinner tasting menu and were blown away. Jim Fiala helped pair wines awesome wine with Hawaiian Ahi Tuna Tartare, Spanish Octopus, Atlantic Swordfish, Australian Lamb Chops and more... I want to come back to St. Louis area just to eat here again!!

Everything was outstanding! Our waiter Joshua was very knowledgeable of the menu, and gave great recommendations. We did the menu tasting since so many options sounded amazing. My husband and I got the octopus and salad as the first course. The octopus was cooked to perfection- not chewy at all and had a nice smoky flavor. I’m not a huge salad person, but it was the best salad I’ve ever had. The second course he got boar in pasta and I got pork shoulder ravioli. The boar was super flavorful and the ravioli was good, but I probably wouldn’t get it again. The third course we got the lamb and duck. Both were very good, but the duck with blackberry sauce was incredible!! I would I think the breading on the lamb was a little misplaced. The fourth course was strawberry cheesecake and the ginger creme brûlée. The strawberry cheesecake isn’t your traditional cheesecake. It was more of a mousse. The crème brûlée my husband loved. I thought it had too much ginger flavor to it. He thought the hard sugar top was too thick. Overall the food, service and atmosphere was all amazing. I’d highly recommend going there! We’ll definitely be back. Plus they have complimentary valet parking

This was an outstanding experience. The Crossing was recommended by a colleague, and it was not a disappointment. The daily specials were amazing, as were the wine pairings. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and able to help us make decisions when we were undecided. The experience was lovely and unrushed. Special note, the espresso is wonderful and a must.

Great place. Great food. Excellent waiter. I got the 4 course tasting menu. The lobster second course really stood out. My wife had the scallops and loved them. My Ribeye was cooked perfectly. Dessert was fried blueberry pie and chocolate torte. Excellent evening

Excellent! Great service, but really great good. Bread was very fresh and flavorful. The roasted vegetable vegan soup was my favorite. Then I had roasted chicken sandwich with roasted veggies. All very good.

My husband and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary! The crossing was actually our first fancy dinner date. We have now been together for 15 years. Tonight was amazing!! From a custom congratulation card to our great server. We felt very special! Thank you everyone! We can’t wait be back!

First and foremost the service from the entrance, wait staff to the end was amazing! The stars are for them only, our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and very attentive. Now to the food, we ordered the grand tasting menu, it was presented very nicely, but was not impressed with any of the dishes. The meat from the lamb and pork chop were chewy and most of the sauces were too sweet for my taste. With all the great reviews it gets we must have gone on an off day. The chef with a trucker hat made his way around but we didn’t get a second look, oh well.

The meals are filled with taste and the service is impeccable. The ambience is lowkey and chill with that high-end cuisine. Great for an intimate occasion. Every dish I tried was perfectly prepared.

Food , service , ambiance all A+. Very European bistro vibe. everything was excellent. Would highly recommend for a classy romantic dinner , yet still low key.

Wow! That says it all. The Crossing is easily one of the best "farm to table" restaurants I've ever eaten at. There was a group of 4 of us and we all did their tasting menu with extra sides of the seasonal and very hard to find morel mushrooms. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was exceptional. Two of us also did the associated wine pairing and it was amazing. If you find yourself in St Louis, The Crossing is a must for a special occasion and experience.

Grand Tasting Menu was superb. Each dish was outstanding. Don't know what else to say, really. I could review all 8 dishes but you will have to try it for yourself to fully appreciate the layers and intricacies of all the wonderful flavors.

The Crossing features a white table cloth setting and world class meals without the pretentiousness of other top shelf restaurants. The wine and cocktail list is unparalleled. They have 40+ scotch varieties, so that is a win in my book. I would come back to Missouri just for this restaurant.
