BEWARE. This facility needs to be investigated and shut down. My love one was misdiagnosed, mistreated and humiliated. Once I was able to get my loved one transferred, I seen the neglect firsthand from the sores on her body, around her mouth, and bottom. Intubation? No real reason but to keep her in this facility. There negligence caused internal bleeding amongst other things, that ultimately killed her. Unacceptable! R.I.Power Latavia Lloyd!

I was visiting Chicago and was in a really bad accident, me, my mom and the lyft driver. We were all transported to this hospital by ambulance. This is the worse hospital I have ever visited in my 53 years of life. I sat in the ER waiting room for 10 hours so far as I'm writing this I am still sitting in the waiting area the accident happen at 1am. The lyft driver sat there with blood all over her face for 8 hours, my mom was took in the back where she also spent 8 hours to be seen. This is ridiculous and I pray I am never bought back to Roseland Hospital ever it's a sad place to go! I wouldn't take my animal their. It's not fit for human being!

All on social media I see and hear about “The New Roseland Hospital “. You would think that it’s need, and things are going well. However just by saying it’s new doesn’t mean much. My dad was brought to the hospital on Tuesday 3/7/23. I went there the same day and provided my information to the nurse and registration. My dad was admitted. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning I as well as my family called to get updates. We were given the run around. When on my way to go and check up on him on Friday, I was told that he was transferred to rehabilitation center 15 miles away. Upon talking to the staff, they stated that no family members information was on file and no family member has been there all week. I asked them to look at the form that I signed off on that had his items. Low and behold, they say my signature. I want this hospital to get better. The community needs it, but the staff needs customer service training and some support from management. I can’t talk about the quality of care, but their communication and follow through needs to be better.

Cant say enough terrible things about the administration/leaders at this establishment. I would not feel safe taking a bird to these people. I was not aware that they already had bad reviews until just now. I am not the least bit surprised. They actually hired a medical professional-had them fill out paperwork, gave them a name tag, and even held orientation. That person passed on other career offers for the weeks following and traveled to the hospital on two occasions, expecting to start this new job in their chosen field. Then that person was told the hospital made a mistake and did not mean to hire them! Then they took the job back. Really!? Is this a joke? What adult does that? Is this a McDonald's? Thats the only type of place I could see that happening. Not even McDonald's leadership would show that much incompetence and lack of humanity. The hospital said they were aware this was a recent graduate ,even in writing, then tried to cling to the fact that the person was inexperienced. On top of that the CEO reached out to them after they wrote a heartfelt letter about how disappointed they were, asked them to come back in, told them they could try a different position with the ability to train in their chosen department THEN GHOSTED THEM. That is yet another unnecessary trip as well as continued mental anguish of thinking you have a job over the course of 3 weeks. You just don't treat people like this. I cannot see any way this hospital could organize enough to run successfully and clearly based on their reviews they don't. Stay away from these monsters.

Do not go to this hospital. Case managers don't do their job. Jasmine Brown just doesn't do her job. Kutom the cardiologist messed up my meds two times in a row. He doesn't even try to listen to my heart. Metoprolol has been recalled & the doctor never told me that & caused my blood pressure go up randomly & heart palpitations with it causing enormous dizziness. Jasmine Brown was suppose to make another appt for me & i left her a msg to change cardiologist because Kutom needs to be retired. I've observed him & he's just not competent with his job anymore. He just wants to hurry up & get u outta there without any concern.

I will give zero if I could. My mom has been there since 7/5 and has been treated horribly by the nurses. The only reason she’s there is because that’s the nearest hospital and it sickens me that she’s there. I have to call the case worker every day. The people at the nurses station are rude. She’s a diabetic and have been waiting for a transfer to a rehabilitation facility for two weeks now. Someone is not doing their job or choose not to. Once she’s gone, a lot of reporting is going to happen.

4/22/22 The woman with the shaved sides of her head and the black and red locs is extremely rude. It’s quite hilarious how throughout the hospital there are “zero tolerance” signs about not being rude and such. But yet the entire staff that sits in front of the ER entrance were all rude. This is my first time coming to this hospital and I now see the rumors about this place are true. 10/10 would not recommend. 4/29/22 A week later and the front receptionist is still rude. Doesn’t matter how many wigs she changes into, that same stank personality doesn’t change at all. This hospital should really consider who they want representing them. Seeing that the receptionist is your first interaction with any employee in the building, you would think they would want someone who represents the hospital in a position light instead of that unprofessional woman. 10/10 still would not recommend.

Roseland has made a Bad name for themselves for over 60 plus decades! It is said to be a Death Trap a nickname given by the community! Though it's a neighborhood hospital you would think they would treat the community as humans! I know after covid they are possibly understaffed, but attentiveness, professinalism, and empathy should always reflect the Hospital, Doctors, Nurses,Medical Techs and even the security should work with pride. As we know the medical field can be overwhelming most of the time, but all staff should remain empathic, optimistic and open. I'm certain with the right overseers. We can change the name given to them by community. THERE IS NOWAY ANYONE WITH ANY TYPE OF INSURANCE SHOULD WAIT IN AN EMERGENCY ROOM FOR 6 PLUS HOURS COMPLAINING OF CHEST PAIN, SHORTNESS OF BREATH, OR EVEN A SPRANGED ANKLE! RIDICULOUS.

luckily I had a referral so I went to main entrance and had a decent greeting, the waiting room was very clean and tastefully decorated, I needed x-rays of my hand and everyone was helpful and acknowledged me!, i dont understand the bad reviews, maybe if I had to go to the emergency room my review might be different. Also the training radiologist was fantastic, I love newbies because they are so kind and not jaded by ignorant patients yet

My grandfather came to the ER by ambulance. The EMS workers told the Dr. To Intubate him. I thank God for the respiratory therapist that was there. She had the courage to stop the line and tell the Dr. Not to intubate him but place him on BiPAP ST to keep his airway open. She saved his life with the most minimal invasive way possible. If she would have had him intubated he probably would have died or lived with a tube for ventilation the rest of his life. I never got her name but she was a black woman with a possible African or Islander accident. I am very thankful for her. Their respiratory team knows what they are doing and Intrust that team. My grandfather was transferred to South Suburban hospital that night so I can’t speak on other departments or teams. But the RT’s here get an A+ for knowledge and courage because takes a lot to stand up to the doctors and do what is best for the patient.

Worst hospital in Chicago. I’ve literally witnessed patients dying I️n the lobby. Pregnant women, the elderly, and gun shot victims. The nurses are terrible. The doctors are racist & lack compassion. Customer service is terrible everyone has bad attitudes. & no ever answers the phone. Roaches and bed bugs in the patients rooms and treatment areas. Doctors over bill your medical card for insurance fraud. & they recycle needles. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VAULE YOUR life. -B1gkar1

My girlfriend was told to go there for her back pain. And they discharged after literally doing nothing to relieve her pain. She had 3 back surgeries in the past you would think because of her issues with her back they would have been more willing to help her out but instead they gave her TYLENOL!!! and told her she has to deal with the pain. Went to Munster Community Hospital right after and they got her pain down in no time. She called an ambulance at 630pm she made it to ROSELAND at 7pm and they discharged her at 4am with Tylenol…. Got to Munster community hospital at 445 and at 520 she was seen and medicated properly. Charge nurse and the doctor on staff at night don’t know nothing about the human body don’t no take your loved ones there

Went in for leg pain on 6/5/23 that had been bothering me for a month. They put me in a room and attached an IV because I am diabetic and my blood sugar was a little high. The IV tube fell apart almost immediately and the solution spilled all over the floor. No one came to check on me for several hours. The doctor ordered a CT scan and said there was no damage to my leg and that it would heal itself. Gave me a prescription for a medication I already had. Dinner was good, though.

My daughter came in with shortness of breath by ambulance and they just put her in the room and left her there, when I arrived she wasn’t hooked up to oxygen or anything. Emergency room doctor, Dr. Eloka Kedi who we have waited on for an hour has absolutely no bedside manner and and is very rude.

If the mismanagement, lack of respect, lact of empathy and lack of quality service continues! They going to shut this hospital down! When I tell you for decades it's been a saying " don't go to roseland hospital", " go with caution" it's plenty of messed up reasons as to why. Also if you honestly think it won't look at MetroSouth Medical Center. Look at the reviews! Alot of patients have died due to the hospital mishandling. And lets not start on the 72 cited violations since 2017 which beyond ridiculous and dangerous. "This hospital serves 12 communities and span 6 zipcodes" as stated by its website. With that information you would expect for better quality in every department. It doesn't even have a trauma center! You can't even receive quality care let alone a correct bill. Let's not start on their shady billing practices. So please don't act surprised WHEN "not if" they shut it down.

I don't know why I'm wasting my time writing a review, nothing is going to change. The Head Nurse and the most of the nurses on 3E are awful at communicating with family. I put a code on the phone so people can't ask about my love one and that didn't work. This hospital needs an overhaul starting with the board! Then again, you get what you pay for!!!

I went there via ambulance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My sister followed the ambulance and she was treated nicely. The Doctors kept her updated on my condition. I was in critical condition from COVID-19. I spent 2 weeks in there fighting for my life. I thank God and my Doctors that I am here today.

Went today to take a covid test, as I will be returning to work on Monday. I called before I left home to find out whats needed & the process. The (male) phone operator was very pleasant and easy to speak with. And provided the details easily and happily. He said I could walk in but to be sure to come into main entrance.. I get to the location, and I see a line of cars outside lined up headed to the main entrance. No worries / concerns there. I called back to verify the info I received. He said "no you can walk in" bla bla bla... so I said ok, "just checking b/c I see this line of cars.. so I park, get out go walk to the entrance and I stepped in. A short light female, stopped me at the door, told me to "step outside" etc.. (NOT friendly at all) I advised her that I'd called and was told I could walk in, she put me out and told me to get in my car, they are not taking walk-ins and to get in line.. Hmmpf.. OK.. I head back to my car and call back the # that I had called. I said to the (same) male clerk.. "I'm sorry, to keep bothering you but I just tried to walk in etc.... so he again was very pleasant to talk to and he said that wasn't right and he'd find someone else for me to talk to. He did, I spoke w/a lady, who was pleasant and she asked me if I'd gotten a name (I dind't).. I described the lady though. anyway --- bottom line I was there in line 2hrs from arriving until I finished. but they did and or were to take walk ups.. I seen people walk up stand outside fill out the paper work and be seen, at this point, I had been there a little over an hr and just decided to stay in my car. Thank you to Everyone that was pleasant.. Most of the process was nice, I guess there was just #Miscommunication In-House... For a covid test, in the future , would I go back.. #SURE Thank you for your assistance the Friendly Guy on the phone.. This was approx 10a.m... (at least by my second call today). Oh and they sent someone out to talk to me while I waited in my car. Just to apologize for misunderstanding. (He didn't advise that I could now walk up) but it was a nice gesture.

I was not happy in the beginning . The rumors I heard were not good. My feelings changed very quickly . On the 4th of march my mother was placed in the emergency room. Two days later moved to a room and was told she needed surgery . The pain my 88 year old mother experienced before her surgery was unbearable . After surgery she spent 13 days on a ventilator , then had a tracheostomy. The care and the attention my mother received was from an “A” Team. The ICU had a group of Nurses treating her as if she were their mom. They treated me as if I too was family. All the people I met from the ER reception , the Operator Ed , Security Tommy and Jones , to Social Worker Lola , Caseworker Rosline and Gerald thank you our family is forever great full . My heart and prayers are with you all. Respectfully , The Robison and Green Family P.S. I pray each day for Roseland

I was seen in the Emergency Room and although it was a wait, the staff did a great job of keeping me informed about next steps. From the moment I entered the facility security assisted with getting me a wheelchair and helping me check in. Because of a rise in Covid, my daughter was unable to stay with me for safety precautions (and I understood). My nurse was AMAZING - her bedside manners were topnotch and her actions displayed that she cared. Although I had a specific complaint, the ER physician was thorough in addressing anything concerning as a result of my lab. I can truly say that this facility is taking necessary steps to provide quality care in the Roseland Community!

Please don’t tell me this Hospital is owned by a black person 😒, because I know damn well we don’t conduct business like that..but The lady at the front desk was real cool. I can clearly see the only reason people come this hospital, is because it’s NEAR by..i simply walked out after I seen nurses continuously walked out and look me in face, when they should have been looking at my reason for the e.r visit, but they they too nosey, the insurance lady caught an attitude about insurance, I just moved to this state, and I’m waiting for my cards to be mailed to me, the lady that was checking the insurance felt the need to do deep digging before they actually sent me to a room. It smells like urine, as soon as you walk in the building. And they have the nerve to act like they only hospital, I bet I took that ride to a suburban medical center quick!!

My husband went in with a blood pressure of 140 over 240 he was about to have heart failure. They didn't medicate him for 2 hours. He was in the emergency room for 12 hours. I was out of state so I was trying to talk to him over the phone, that was a joke it sounded like the staff was having a party. They were laughing so loud I could barely hear him!!!! This place is a joke. Please keep your family away from this hospital if you want them to live.

The worst hospital ever. They’re rude and lack empathy for the patients. They speak down on the patient’s and mistreat the patient’s who has no family with them. They mixup patients charts and misdiagnose them. The emergency room staff is horrible on every day of the week.

I would strongly implore from having services at this hospital! Although the staff is very good at greeting its patients, they have terrible listening, customer service, and sub standardly low empathy skills. Yesterday before I had to start the first of two jobs, I informed multiple staff members (secretary and sign in representative) that I was there to get my vaccination and my vaccination card for my second job after I had the nasal swab test on Friday. So, after repeating my request for the fifth time, the secretary guard had an attitude and had an intimating look on her face after I voiced my displeasure. I was very frustrated because I work in customer service for my second job and sales/appointment setting for the first job and the biggest soft skills for both are listening, customer service and empathy skills. Please avoid this hospital, if you can.

This was the absolute worst hospital I've ever been too in my life!! We called ahead to guarantee bed availability before coming from an hour away just to be left sitting in a waiting room for 8+hours n not allowed to lay down. The detox nurses are lazy, rude, not there for the right reasons, inconsiderate, loud, broke HIPPA laws, and put my boyfriend and I out at night no bus or train tickets nothing!!! Fresh n clean in the hood at night an hour from home after spending days in detox n committed to going straight to rehab center the next morning! I've never experienced such neglectful n horrible care in my life! Do not send loved ones or yourself to this facility!!

I come in about 2x every winter when the season changes, I'm asthmatic. If I come at 4pm, it shouldn't take the breathing treatment team awhole 3-4hrs to get just a treatment. If I come in at 9am, it shouldn't take the breathing treatment team til 12noon to finally get around to me for a breathing treatment. Especially when you see my breathing is labored.
