If all you need is a bed and a semi-secure room, this will work. If not, read on... Guy at the desk was by far the best thing this place has going for it. First thing we noticed was many of the lights in the room did not work. The only light in the kitchen area did not work. We asked for the bulb to be changed (as well as the missing promised microwave, we only got the microwave) and since it is its own room it was always too dark. Womp. The bedside lamps would not turn off with the button so we had to use them by screwing and unscrewing the bulbs. I killed 2 roaches, but to the hotel's credit they were gone after room service. They're probably pushed under the absolutely disgusting couch with all manner of stains light and dark, but I didn't have to keep looking at them so I'll take that as a wine. The pool was closed for maintenance but I'm OK with that after seeing it. It is in the corner of the parking lot (which was full of construction materials and dumpsters) just on the other side of a short wall next to the sidewalk. The beds were certainly beds. I've slept on floors more inviting. The newly renovated bathroom is cramped, the door bangs into the shower curtain. The window next to the door was broken so that wasn't the safest feeling. Not worth the price but moreover it is just a place I hope to soon forget.

Stayed in a newly renovated room. It was clean and comfortable. Everything worked fine. The staff were nice and helpful. The price was the most reasonable in that area and I could walk there from Fresno train station. The hotel obviously still needs a lot of work, but I had a good experience there.

Compared to a neighboring hotel, the staff here are amazing. It's a hotel in Fresno tho, I'm not gonna remove a star because of Fresno. Judging only the hotel, despite the room being outdated and mysteriously stained, it was very clean. Neighboring hotels, I would not dare take off my shoes or touch the bedding. So, being clean, bug free, and having functioning utilities, this may be the best hotel in the area for a short stay.

I am in Fresno for the APA Convention and there were not many hotels with availability walking distance to the convention center. I saw terrible reviews on this place but also saw mention of it going through renovation. I booked it and hoped for the best. I am very happy with my room. It is simple but clean. Fresh. Updated. There is no carpet. It is laminate flooring and it is clean and new. Bed is new and comfortable. Bathroom is really nice. Air condition and wi-fi work great. The desk is very useful. For a budget hotel, This is a good option. Chris at the front desk was helpful and got me in early and found some cold water bottles for me.

The room and especially the toilet were full of cockroaches. The cockroaches ran all over the room. The room wasn't particularly clean either. The floor was dirty and it had dead animals on it. That was the worst night and would not recommend anyone to come here.

Cockroaches everywhere including the bed. Room was smelly, old and gross. This motel should be shut down by the health department. DO NOT STAY HERE. I HAD BITES ALL OVER MY BODY. WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT!!!

To be blunt, this location is a dump. It's in a questionable part of town (which can't be helped), and is just plain gross (which definitely CAN be helped). See below. The first room they gave me was dirty. The second room was clean, but not in much better condition. - The inside door frame was ripped off (presumably from the police booting it in) - There was a streak of red/brown liquid splattered across the back of the door (presumably the reason the police were there in the first place) - The curtains were partially ripped from the rod - The curtains had holes straight through them (bullet holes? See police comments) - The front of one of the dresser drawers was ripped off/missing - The dresser was scratched/written on and had a white liquid dried on to the side of it - The beds were made with clean sheets, but there was black paint splattered on one of the bedspreads - The over-bed lamps had NO switches - unable to use - The laminate floor was gross - The ironing board was singed and dirty - The iron was also dirty and full of hard water stains - The fridge was so noisy I had to unplug it - The drywall was damaged throughout - The paint was peeling from the toilet seat - The toilet tank cover didn't even match the toilet - it was about 8 inches wider than the toilet tank itself - The toilet paper roll was installed where the person is supposed to sit on the toilet - right under their left armpit - The fan vent was filthy dirty - The hair dryer was dirty - The caulking was cracked or half missing from the bathroom vanity - The sink did not have a stopper - The shower valve was broken - The lever just went completely around and it was impossible to adjust the temperature - The shower head had hard water scaling so bad that the shower spray barely came out - The tan grout was so dirty on the floor tiles that I thought the grout was brown - until I looked under the vanity where nobody walked, and it was tan The one bright spot was the reception staff. He was helpful and did the best he could given the circumstances. He gets five stars for what he surely must put up with, between irate/disappointed customers and ownership who are clearly incapable of running anything resembling a decent hotel. They must have missed the day they taught hotelling at hotel school. I can't believe I had to pay for this. It should have been one of those television shows where they pay YOU to stay there to see how long you can make it.

To start the reason I picked this hotel was because of its location and the double tree around the corner was completely booked at the time. I didn't have high expectations going into it because its a 2 star hotel and I have stayed at 2 star level hotels before. Well what I had thought was I was going to get was a bit different then what I got. Let's talk about the good things, bathroom was clean and the room over all was well clean but could use a face lift here and there. It's not spotless but its not terrible. For a Wyndham by name its not great. You get the idea. The internet was free and fast enough to use and had a cable TV that worked, but didn't use it too much since internet TV is what I personally have. The beds were sleepable. It's an upgrade from sleeping in your car so that's a plus. That is about it for the positives. Checking in wasn't fantastic as it was only 7pm and I had to check in outside in colder weather. The lady at the front was nice but didn't seem to be in any rush. After I got my room I went and checked it out it was a ground floor room if that matters to anyone. I noticed that all the lights worked except for the one in the kitchen. The front window was also broken and I had told the lady at the front this information. She told me she would get someone to fix the kitchen light and thats great (its still not fixed), but also SHE KNEW ABOUT THE BROKEN WINDOW. We didn't get a new room either. It would be one thing if the screen was broken but there was a break in the glass as well. I asked about if they would fix it while we were staying and she said probably. Wouldn't that be something you fix before a guest stays in it? or wouldn't you have your guest move to a different room? One advantage to the broken window is you can hear outside fairly well. I heard a loud sound of someone dropping something and a few seconds later I heard a man say "get off the property." So the place if fairly secure because they do seem to watch it...even though half of their parking lot seems to be a construction zone? Not sure what that is about, but something to note. Could be renovations that the location seems to really need but could be unrelated as well. If things change I will update the posting, if not assume things are unchanged.

Booked for 4/21/23. Shady people and homeless all around. When we arrived it took the front desk lady a while to check us in. Finally got room cards, which didn’t work to unlock the door. Had to go back and have her fix the cards. When we got in the room there was an extremely overpowering smell of paint, and the bed was dirty. We were going to stay the night after a concert we were attending, but decided to drive all the way home instead because we didn’t feel safe or comfortable. We didn’t stay the night, yet they were sure to keep the almost $160 we payed for a single night for this dump. Read the reviews before you book, and you will see the hotel has the same generic response to all of them saying they are going to fix the problems and hoping they will book with them again(yea right), which is obviously not true considering it’s the same problems going back years on these reviews. I feel as if they have robbed me for my money, and I didn’t even stay there, and had to drive all the way home instead. To the owners response- no refund after check in, which is before you can actually see the room and conditions of this hotel? It’s not like we were trying to get a free stay here, we didn’t stay. We drove a couple hours home in the middle of the night instead. I’ve emailed Wyndham instead, and will see where that goes.

Nearby there are some good restaurants within easy walk by the convention center. I recommend stopping by Downtown Oak. Driving the area there are lots of homeless and sketchy people on the streets so keep your head on a swivel. But we did not encounter any trouble in our brief excursions. Check in staff was friendly and helpful once engaged. We went back for an extra towel to dry my partner's long hair and she took care of us. The maid took it away the next morning instead of replacing the 3rd towel with a fresh one. There was plenty of parking, possibly it wasn't busy. However, the bathroom in this place was a design disaster. Our bathroom mirror was mounted so high that at 5'6" I could only see my eyes and above in the reflection. Had to stand on tippy-toe to shave. The shower head wasn't really adjustable and No shower door. Water sprayed past the single pane wall of glass separating the shower from the room that only covered about half of the pan. So water would get all over the floor. In other words, the left half of the shower was wide open to the room, no door or curtain to contain the water. I expect the floor is rotting as we speak. The tile in the shower had lots of damage to the grout. All of this was surprising for a recently renovated place. You could tell that there was an attempt at using modern looking stuff but it was poorly installed. There was, however, ample hot water. We spent our first night barely getting any sleep because of a loud neighboring room. Our second night there was quiet. My partner booked the room partially because of a continental breakfast at the lobby in the description, but this didn't exist. The lobby remained locked throughout our stay so no dropping in for hot water or coffee. Possibly this was a covid measure, more likely a security one. Our bed seemed like a standard size, not a queen even though there was plenty of space in the room. I don't know how it was described in the booking. For the money, I was disappointed. We hoped this might be an upgrade from the rooms I've stayed in over by hwy 99 and 180. It's not.

Rooms always clean. Front office / continental breakfast area was being remodeled while I was there but owners and staff were still very accommodating with coffee and goodies to go with my cup of coffee. No problems checking in or extending my stay. Housekeeping was wonderful, pleasant and always at the door in the late morning to see if anything was needed for the rest of my stay that day. It was very quiet and free of non guests. We felt very safe during our stay. Even with all the room remodeling no mess or excessive noise.

The manager is unresponsive. Making little babies sleep in room with no ac in a heat wave of 107 weather. When discussing this she says to put them outside. Will not give a refund and we were forced to spend money on another hotel room with decent ac. DO NOT GO HERE EVER

When I stayed, the hotel was going through a major restructure, so it should be interesting to see how the renewal affects the location. The room I rented was fairly spacious, which was a nice surprise. It's in walking distance to quite a few places in downtown, so very handy if you're in town purely for business.

We we’re here last year and needed to deal with the homeless staying at the property. Cops everyday. And all i can say is that this place has change a lot specially on the new rooms, during check-in the lady was a bit confuse and can see that she’s rushing, however there was a guy that came in and was amazing, he was too fast and covered all information that we needed. We even saw him cleaning the property late night. We can tell he’s a hard worker. And we were surprised to know that he’s the manager as per the lady front desk. We’ve been staying here a lot and we can feel that with new management everything will be improved in this hotel. I hope they will keep up with this changes, we will be back!! Highly recommend this place! Can’t wait to stay again!

I was totally, tooken by surprise on how well kept, clean, big and the room had a sliding back door, giving it like its own back patio feel. The breakfast there is even better, restaurant styled made breakfast and great service. Also i couldn't believe it when i saw the room still having a hair dryer and iron with ironing board. 🤣😁 Totally recommend this place .

Stayed here last year for a wrestling tournament it was a dump. New owners, all remodeled inside the rooms. They are still remodeling. Nice, quiet and walking distance to the Selland Arena.

The hotel location is very convenient, 2 minutes walking distance for the conference center. The room is as you would expect from a 2 stars motel, though the price was not cheap for what you get (I paid 164$/night). What I was not expecting is to share the room with cockroaches (After killing few I used a towel to block the hole from where I thought are coming. Check the picture) . The bed cover was overconsumed and feel dirty. Same for the towels. The toilet was flashing automatically each 30 minutes, in fact the water knob that fills the toilet tank was closed probably by the previous customer. I am an Agriculture person and my standards for hygiene are relatively low but this hotel was too dirty even for my standards. The lady on the reception was nice though. I would sleep in the car rather in this hotel. Too dirty Travelodge too dirty.

Where do I start first of all they had roaches it smell like mold in the room housekeeper and the managers are thieves I left an art bag that had acrylic watercolors paint brushes and expensive pens of all types at least a few hundred dollars worth of art stuff so Sunday morning I left for about an hour when I came back to get my bag it was gone they said they had no idea where it was at all I just remember is being really sad after I was told that I just responded that Karma will come back and have a blessed day

Crooks. Avoid at all cost. Stealing and experience a non standard nightmare. Up scaling not agreed too and overpricing

Immediately after checking in my sister and unpacked. The desk men stood outside the office door in the hallway, smoking, and watched us unpack our car. It was very odd and made us feel very uncomfortable. There was also two incidents of the power going out only in our room. The first time was very brief around 5 pm. The second was 10:30 at night and lasted an hour. The front desk called our hotel phone twice in the middle of the night waking us up. Overall it was a strange and off putting experience.

They only had two coffee cups no creamer and ice machine didn't work. Also we're told we couldn't check in till after 3pm. But the next morning as we were checking out three cars were checking in at 9:30 am. And no snacks for guests. Wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there management not very friendly.

Wyndham ought to be ashamed of themselves for allowing this property to look the way it does. The poor hotel manager works harder at night keeping the homeless away. The rooms are horrendous for the price. The rooms and pool need a total remodel our lights were not working properly, the mattress was uncomfortable. You should offer a Continental breakfast in the unused designated breakfast area. Have security or a security gate.

Had they refunded my money after finding they did not have clean rooms available I would not be leaving this review. They did not provide basic cleanliness and still took my money. Booked a room a few days in advance. Checked in around 11pm and the desk attendant was prompt coming to the window. First room assigned was missing it's room number placard, had something strangely wet under the doormat, and with 2 minutes of bringing my things in I started seeing 1, 2, 3, 4 cockroaches walking around the wall next to the bed. I took all my stuff back to the car and went back to the window. The attendant came over quickly, issued a new room, and I headed over there. There were hairballs of varying sizes in the 2nd room and a grimy film on the floor of the closet corner and bathroom. I went down and told the attendant there were hairballs and I didn't feel comfortable staying there. The response was, "Okay". I was not offered any compensation. I left and stayed at a different hotel.

Love updated clean rooms (room floors, bed, desk and bathroom). Housekeeping was a dedicated crew too. If having internet is not a priority for you, their rooms are of great value.

Booked this hotel for a concert down the street and upon arrival the 2 women front desk were not friendly. I’m pregnant so I asked for a room on the first floor and they made it clear that since it was a room with 2 beds, there would be an additional $25 fee for using both beds. If we didn’t want to be charged extra me and my close friend were to sleep in the same bed! I have travelled all over the world and have never been charged a fee for using the bed! Ridiculous! I was told the fee would be added if the bed was unmade. If you don’t have to book here, DONT!! Edit: It is now Monday 2/12 and there was a charge of $28 to my bank account. They are stating that I used the bed, even though the bed was not slept in. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!
