Awesome setting. Unique and comfortable. Plush leather couches and couches. Books to read. Board games. An old school radio. Well mannered manager. Cool art. Great coffee. I could see this as a "my place" cafe if I lived closer.

Very cute coffee shop with a great philanthropic & community cause. Chai was very tasty and the cookie had just the right amount of salt - fulfilled that sweet tooth craving. Excited to try their sandwiches and their coffee (they use Messenger coffee)

Connect Cafe is a great place to stop, have a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. They have a great selection of breakfast pastries, desserts and a super lunch menu. Connect Cafe offers a comfortable atmosphere and is a good place to do some work, or to meet up with a friend. And if that isn't enough, this cafe is staffed by folks currently or formerly in foster care - they get to learn a trade and you get yummy food and coffee. Hope to see you there!

For my first time going to connect Cafe, I would say that I had a pretty good experience. The atmosphere, the food, and the service was all good.

My sandwich (BLT) was ok and I ordered Mac n cheese for my side which was really really really bad. It was runny and not cooked all the way. Tasted like kraft mac n cheese or worse. I may go back and try something else.

This is one of those places that's so good, I was almost mad at myself for waiting so long to try it. I was here for breakfast this time, but I will definitely be back to try their lunch menu. Though this is a smaller coffee shop, seating is ample and service is rapid. The atmosphere is bohemian in an unforced, non-Starbucks way. The look and feel fits well with the neighborhood. I had biscuits and gravy, which were absolutely delicious. The biscuits in particular were good enough that I would have eaten them plain. The order even came with a small side of melon and pineapple, very fresh and quite tasty. I also had a chai, which was served "to go" hot. It too was excellent once it had the chance to cool down.

Very accommodating to a group of 18 bicyclers without worning. The manager expressed his thanks for our business.

I have been frequenting this establishment for several months now. Quality food, made fresh and in front of you, so much better for you than "junk food" restaurants. They support a worthy cause for Foster,Adopt, Connect. I am a returning customer and choose this unique eatery instead of almost all the others in this area. Come try them, you will not be sorry you did!

Best Breakfast sandwich I have ever had. Easy to get to, beautiful dinning area, and great staff. Honestly loved my breakfast and will be returning often.

One of the best cafe places I’ve been to in Kansas City and they just opened! Incredible people and environment. One of the best southwest chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had, will definitely be back!

I didn't know what to expect here. I knew that it helped foster children and children aging out so I was already two thumbs up. I didn't expect the food to be delicious too! I thoroughly enjoy the biscuits and gravy.

Such a charming and cozy space with amazing sandwiches and salads. The sandwiches are perfectly toasted and have such fresh ingredients. The macaroni and cheese is a must try! The desserts are also to die for.

First of all, it smells amazing in here. Who knew the smell of coffee and smoked meats went so well together? But alas, I'm a vegetarian so I got the veggie wrap. At most places this means salad glued onto a tortilla with hummus. This wrap had like an herbed cream cheese that was so good! It had plenty of greens, but also roasted red peppers and green olives (nice touch). To drink, I got a large iced chai with two shots of espresso and it was EVERYTHING.

A new local business with a nice, warm atmosphere that gives to a good cause. There are many tasty pastries to pair with a freshly brewed coffee. Would definitely go again!

Stopped here to waste some time while on a break from jury duty, and it did not disappoint. Cozy and welcoming environment, delicious latte, and the Santa Fe chicken sandwich is to die for! All homemade and delicious. Everyone working was friendly and personable. 10/10 recommend for coffee, conversation, and a quick lunch.
