Amazing coffee and custard shop with great service. You feel right at home! Great area for kids too with an activity table to keep them occupied while the adults enjoy their coffee and delicious custards!! As if thatbwerent enough, buying here supports a great cause and we are all about that! Definately 5 stars!!!

If you only want the best then you have come to the right place! Their frozen custard is what separates them from the rest. The service is amazing. The place is clean and the atmosphere is great! If they have a line it is well worth the wait! And their new food truck can be liked and followed on Facebook. It does not, and let me repeat, does not get any better than Chris' Custard!

This place is great! I love the lemon custard with a lemon blueberry cookie 🤤 tonight the staff helped me out. I locked my keys in my car and they just happened to have a coat hanger in the back to let me have. Thanks guys! I plan to be back soon to try the coffee 😊 ***support local business 👏 👏 👏 ***

Our first visit was this past Saturday. We were so impressed. The coffee was so good as was the custard. The service was gracious. We appreciate that they work so well and patently with their employees. We plan to make this place one of our regular go-to's.

What a wonderful experience! The coffee is quality, and the custard had great taste and texture (I had peppermint). The indoor and outdoor seating are plentiful. The owners put a lot of love and care into this place. Highly recommended and a must-stop for coffee and dessert lovers!

Wonderful place! Garrett is so welcoming and fun to talk to. Highly recommend the frozen custard and I’m from Milwaukee! Got the vanilla in an affogato (amazing!) and tried samples of both pumpkin and espresso flavors - both excellent!

Okay, so not only do they have a great purpose with the disability community, but their food is great too! I got a pastry that was very good and my partner got a breakfast sandwich that was HUGE for the price. They also made an excellent latte and has unique drinks as well. They also have very good custard - smooth and creamy and it doesn't melt too quickly the way some custards do. Will definitely be back.

Chris’s Coffee and Custard makes and serves the tremendous soft custard I remember from my childhood in Ohio. This custard, alone or incorporated into one of the shop’s tasty treats, like milkshakes and frappes, is worth traveling away from mainstream Roanoke eateries. A cup of locally roasted and in-house brewed coffee plus a fresh salad or wrap makes a great late breakfast or lunch. The premises are immaculate and fully handicap accessible, from a sturdy entrance ramp and maneuverable space within the shop to the roomy and handsome restroom. Comfortable barstools, high tables, and low benches in the entrance/service area make waiting for orders relaxing and hospitable. There is also a spacious gathering area around the corner from the entrance and outdoor seating. Looking for more of Chris’s goodies, watch for the shop’s new food truck at local outdoor gatherings beginning September 2023. Chris’s Coffee and Custard is more than an outlet for goodies to eat, it furnishes substantial and paying jobs for young adults with special needs. So, if, now and then, a server might be slow or does not comprehend a complicated order, breathe easily and enjoy a few extra minutes of relaxation. Your order will be perfect and satisfying when it arrives.

My iced coffee was great. My brother got the vanilla custard and loved it. The cafe’s atmosphere was amazing and had board games and other fun activities to do inside. Love the intention behind the cafe. Would definitely recommend going there!

Great place to take the family for custard and coffee. I love what they stand for. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The coffee was very good and from a local roaster - which I love! It was also nice to go to a coffee shop that has the same values I do, and not have a political agenda thrown at me just to get a coffee.

I will certainly be making this coffee shop a routine coffee and breakfast place when I am in town!! Not only did I receive such wonderful service and absolutely delicious coffee, I also got such a genuine and heartfelt hug from Chris at time I really needed one.
