This park or trailhead, surprised us. My family wanted some fresh air and a place we wouldn't have to wear masks at. What we found was a completely paved main walking path, with hiking trails to go in along the way. We aren't from Hickory but I'm proud of the city and the money they are putting in this park. Building ramps in multiple sections in this to what I believe is to get closer to the lake. We can't wait to come back again when it's all finshed. Keep in mind that there are two great entrances to this area, you have Hickory Park and Geitner Park, one on each end. Oh and there is mountain biking trails too!!!😃 Thanks everyone

The mountain bike trails here are awesome! The loops are long enough that you can ride for a while and then you can combine different trails easily to get more or less mileage. It also has some really fun downhill stuff and the pump track is great. I ride here at least once a week. There is also a paved trail through the middle which is great if you don't want to ride the single track trails.

Very cool path to ride on. Lots on decline heading towards geitney Park. The pump track leaves a lot to be desired. There's no flow to it. Needs a lot of attention. Still had fun.

Great place to walk your dog (or just to relax). Trash receptacles are available, it connects to the new City River Walk and has plenty of parking.

I am really proud of how well these courts are kept. To have a bike trail, tennis, pickleball and more available to us is a blessing. Remember to help pick up at least 1 item of garbage you find on the ground and toss it out for those less considerate.

The tennis courts are great but the hours are too short. They need to leave the gate open longer for the people that have jobs. The trails are really nice, though; surprisingly nice actually. A good majority of it is shaded so the sun does not beat down on you the whole time. Just be prepared with but spray. I will say that the railing in the newly paved river walk is something you would not expect on a public, high traffic area. Your backyard patio, sure. The inconsistency and variation of post types makes it look super cheap and poorly thought out. Not sure who won the bid for that contract but back to the drawing board Hickory. Hopefully it's not the company that was responsible for the useless arches downtown.

I take my dog for walks on the main trail and it's perfect for that. I think it's really cool that there are more advanced trails for those who want to do real hiking or cycling as well. Just make sure you bring water in the summer as it gets hot (even in the shade)

Rode the bike trails. A lot is packed in 6 miles. Excellent downhills with gentle climbs. Enough rock gardens and roots to keep you on your toes. But nothing too technical. Took my black lab Samantha and she had a blast too.

I rode one of the dirt bike trails, the easier one, and loved it. The trail is well taken care of. I also rode on the paved trail. It's beautiful.

Love the option of walking on a hiking trail or paved area. Perfect short or long distance depending on what I have time for. Clean. Pretty area

Well I found this park on accident as I was looking for a place to take my pups. Although I didn't stay as it wasn't a dog park, it was a nice place to take your kids and have a picnic.

I wasn't very impressed with this park but of course I don't play tennis either...if your into tennis this is the place for u then I didn't see much else to do there so it wasn't a place you'd wanna take your kids.... unless they play or want to play tennis then this is the park for you

Surprisingly a pretty well maintained hidden gem. There is all sorts of outdoor activities to do, such as tennis, mtbing, jump lines, paved walking trails. Quilt enjoyable for a local park.

Solid mountain bike trails that are very well maintained and the signs are easy to follow. Highly recommend. Not your normal trails for a local park in Hickory or any town for that matter.

Well maintained trails that are a blast to ride. The jump line in particular is phenomenal. Be wary though the climbs are not for the faint of heart as they can get very tough.
