Authentic great tasting Indian food. Whenever I pass through Johnson City, I always make it a point to have the delicious food at Sahib Indian Cuisine. Kaju paneer and paneer makhani are my favorite. Excellent customer service. The manager and the owner are very friendly. If your taste buds need re-calibration and wake up call, this is the place. Different layers of flavors from the same dish with your choice of spice level make it so special. Great variety of choices on the menu and it is made fresh. This is not typical, low-effort buffet style food made and served for everyone with the same regular taste in the mass. They really care about the flavors and the quality of the dishes made individually for each customer. The only complaint during my last visit was the lumpy rice and didn’t taste good. Kaju paneer was incredible as usual. I always felt that the Indian restaurants in US are not as good as the restaurants in India, but this one is definitely as good as any high end signature restaurant in India.

My boyfriend took me here for a date. Neither of us had Indian food before. It did not disappoint. We were so impressed by everything. It was delicious!!! Wait staff was wonderful and answered any questions we had. We definitely plan on going back.

Just WOW. This is one of the best Indian restaurants my husband and I have ever eaten at, anywhere. Indian food is one of our top 2 favorite cuisines, so we try many restaurants. All the staff took great care of us, and Roqi surprised us with a flaming gulab jamun for dessert! The flavor, preparation, and subtle elegance of the dishes are remarkable. If you enjoy Indian food, Sahib is a must.

We are visiting from Chicago area and came upon Sahib much to the delight of our boys! We all enjoyed our food tremendously! The lamb pasanda was the best we have ever had before. The service was wonderful and the porch offered a great space to eat and enjoy some family time! Thank you!!!

Had the joy of working with Sahib last year for a wedding I planned. They were amazing! Such a wonderful hardworking team and the food was fabulous! As a planner, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their catering in the future!

First time visiting. the food was delicious, customer service was great, we were greeted with a huge smile, our server was very attentive, and he had a great sense of humor. We sat out in the patio, and the weather was perfect. They also have a drive-through.

We decided to have a break from our traditional Christmas Eve dinner. We had no wait, the service was very good, the servings were good size and my water glass never ran out. The atmosphere was comfortable with seasonal and Indian music playing. None of our dishes were overy spicy but I am quite sure they will heat anything up with some spice if requested. I am sure we will come back again.

Pardon my french, but this place really disappointed. The dishes are far from authentic and their prices are so cha-ching !. They don't even have good portion sizes . Lighting up chicken on fire right before you serve it will not make fried chicken tandoori !!!! Absolute rip-off imo !

I visit this place every chance I get if I have something scheduled in JC. I so wish they could open other locations so they were closer! Great, authentic Indian food. Everything is always so fresh and delicious! You can't beat the deal with their lunch buffet but there are so many dishes worth ordering alone, too. In all my visits, I've never once been disappointed. Consistently wonderful. And the staff are always kind and courteous and the place is always perfectly clean. They really run a terrific place :)

This was my first time dining here. I came and had the lunch buffet. There was plenty of selection and everything tasted great! Of course I ate too much... But that's on me! I will definitely be coming back here again.

This place was absolutely amazing! The food was perfectly spiced and tender. We ordered the mint paneer tikka, the mixed tandoori platter, lamb vindaloo curry and bullet naan. I got the vindaloo at a medium spice but next time will try it on the “hot” spice level as I like more of a kick! This is exactly what I wanted when coming to an Indian restaurant in regards to taste. I wish I had gotten our waitress’s name as she definitely made this experience awesome. I will be going back!

Haven't been here in awhile. Everything was very good . Not as spicy as i remembered but I guess they have toned it down slightly for the region.

I'm visiting Johnson City and my friend brought me here for lunch - I'm so glad she did! The buffet was outstanding, with a great variety of Indian dishes that are truly delicious. The staff is helpful, friendly and attentive - thank you, Rocky. Foods are clearly labeled and the buffet is well tended. It makes me wish I lived here, because good Indian food is hard to find and I'd definitely be a frequent customer!! Sahib's has plenty of parking adjacent to the building and accessibility is easy. There is plenty of booth and table seating indoors and on a large covered porch outside, too. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. Give this place a try, I'm pretty sure you'll love it!

My wife and I first visited Sahib more than a year ago, while we were still courting, and had chosen the restaurant for our first dinner date in the tri cities. We were treated to a very special experience, getting a spread of dishes based on the chef's personal recommendations after he came out and spoke with us. He was a man who loved his food as much as his customers do! Though we had visited Sahib during their lunch buffet hours with friends since then, this evening was our first time revisiting for dinner together. The food was no less excellent than it was the first time. The Jalfreza curry was a deliciously smooth dish featuring bell peppers and onions alongside your chosen protein- I opted for the tender and juicy lamb this time, which was balanced very well with the sauce. My wife got the mint chicken, which is marinated in one of the same sauces that are served with bread complimentary to any meal. The marinade was mild with an oniony pop that paired very nicely with the medium heat we asked for. Though somewhat spicy, the mint made it quite refreshing while also being far from what I would have expected a mint-based dish would be. Did I mention the chicken was served to us flaming?

My wife and I have wanted to try this restaurant since moving to this area just over two years ago. We finally did when our son and his fiancé visited us from Ca. Our son and future daughter in-law love Indian cuisine and have several favorite such restaurants they frequent where they live. Well not only did my wife and I love this restaurant and the great food, but our son and his fiancé loved it too. They said the food was as good or better than their two favorite Indian cuisine restaurants in Ca. We were additionally very impressed with our server, Rocky. He was very helpful in describing important details of each food option and saw to our every need. He was always checking on us making sure we had whatever we needed. He was truly the best server I have experienced in several years. Thank you Rocky and thank you Sahib for an incredible cultural food experience.

Beautifully done restaurant. You never would have know it was a long john silvers. Food was some of the best Indian I have had. The masala was hearty and delicious.

Excellent food and service. It’s little bit pricey. They charge everything such as bread . Waiter asked me what kinds of bread I want while I order my food. They ended up charge around 9$ for breads for two persons. So, Make sure ask before you order .

We went here for a family dinner (9 people) and it did not disappoint. The portion sizes were generous - everyone was full - and there were plenty of options to suit everyone, including lots of vegetarian dishes. Everyone enjoyed their food ☺️

I travel full time and always check out the local Indian restaurants. This is in my top 3 of the 100+ I’ve tried. Their buffet has a great variety of dishes and is very well prepared and flavorful. Looking forward to my next trip to the area!

First visit really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Feta Naan bread was really tasty. Also had Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Curry also very good. Rocky our server was very helpful answering questions and taking care of us. Recommend!

Cute looking restaurant with a great patio area and a rather romantic indoor experience. Very tasty authentic indian flavors with Large portions sizes. The tandoori chicken appetizer was large enough to be an entree. I will definitely be recommending this to others. The staff is very personable and helpful. The owner himself came out to get the whole restaurant to sing happy birthday to a nearby table. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Quite possibly the best Indian I have had in my life. Don't let the exterior fool you, the food and service are excellent, and the interior is unique. Came with a group of 7 and they rearranged a couple tables to accommodate us inside. Service was prompt and yet not overbearing, they let us enjoy our friends and didn't rush us at any point. We had a variety of dishes and shared with the group. If you like goat, this is the place to have it. If you haven't had goat, you should try it. The group had different types of curries with different types with protein; lamb, chicken, goat, and paneer. Each was perfect! Definitely will return the next time we are in town! Was so good, we completely forgot to take a picture.

We came at my sister's suggestion - she and her husband have come a couple of times. We enjoyed the meal (buffet) and there was plenty of food. The staff seemed attentive and friendly. If you like Indian cuisine, this is the place to come -- we were not impressed, but Indian food does not really interest me so I am not an objective observer.

I cannot brag enough about this place. We were visiting from out of state and were in the mood for warm delicious Indian food and we were not disappointed! This was my cousins first time trying it, and he fell in love! We ordered a ton of stuff from the veg menu and asked for coconut milk and they were awesome about it! Also, the veg biryani was HUGE and we all got to enjoy it! Anyway, eat here. 1st choice always.

Sahil is a excellent restaurant to experience wonderful flavors of India. The food is beautifully prepared and presented. You will leave this restaurant pleasantly full and feeling as you have been on an adventure. Whether you are a fan of Indian food or a first time you will enjoy. The staff is wonderful , helpful and very personable. They have outside seating as well, that is very nice for warm days. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect little Indian place! Great location, outdoor patio, full bar, lots of seating. The staff was really friendly, restaurant is clean and run very smoothly! Buffet was delicious especially the Chili shrimp, potato’s, and curry Marsala chicken. Bathroom was clean and attended to. This location also had a drive through/pick up window. Great find by ETSU campus!

I personally love the food here and eat here multiple times a month. The staff and owner are always welcoming and genuinely happy when you arrive, which is rare these days. Don’t let negative reviews scare you away, there are just negative people in the world. Food is always fresh, it is spiced to your request, and I have never been able to eat all in one sitting.

One of the best Indian places in Tennessee. The spice level was great. Sometimes it is hard to communicate how spicy you want things at an Indian place. I like it really hot, but not crazy hot. This was really close. The chicken kebob came out on fire. Literally. Check out the pictures. I missed the mixed vegetable pickles. Maybe they had them but I couldn't find it on the menu. The lamb was super tender. The naan and papa were fantastic. They also had the most well stocked bar I have seen at an Indian restaraunt.
