DANGERIOUS place to stay..used hypodermic needle on the mattress, management said a diabetic used to be in the room!. All 3 floors has SERIOUSLY become ROACH INFESTED & BITING MITES IN CARPET & FURNITURE Our vehicle was stollen, police called 2x someone w masterkey ( management or ****maintence****) tried break into our room on 4 OCCASIONS. Sonia manager slufted it off like it wasn't true.. even thou the nite latch was 1/2 way out door & wall frame... Refused to check camera's!!! Maintence man seems shady (employees possibly work togather to take from residents) Been here when others complained of same situation. Do not stay here if you have anything of value, a woman by yourself or if you have children...

Now that we're no longer staying here, I'm leaving my honest review. When you walk into the room, at first glance it appears nice however our first night I stepped on broken glass in my room, saw a couple of roaches and there were fleas in our bed. Roaches, I can handle. Bought some spray and kept killing them. 7 days of roaches was gross but I took care of it. It was the fleas that was my biggest issue. I informed the front desk and they said maintenance would spray. Noone ever came. Maintenance is Everywhere! This place was owned by a previous company that didn't care so unfortunately these guys have their work cut out for them but nothing immediate was taken care of. The water heater apparently went out and they had to replace it but none of the residence were informed so que freezing cold shower to which I could've avoided had I'd been informed. The place says non smoking on literally every sign you see but it reaks of weed and cigarette smoke. Residence smoke in the hallway even. The hall carpets smell of mold and old smoke and the cleaning crew doesn't sweep or mop your rooms beforehand. Makes me wonder how clean their homes are or how little they're being paid to just not care. As far as residence go, my main issue was just parents allowing their children to run around unsupervised. There were questionable people staying here, I definitely would've been more cautious if I were them. Overall, I was able to sleep, while dealing with fleas in my bed. Most nights I could sleep. It was just A LOT for a hotel. They really need to demolish this place and start over. If you have asthma or COPD, etc do not stay here. The smoke smell is overwhelming!

Older building for sure but has all the comforts of home. New Manager Sonya is so kind and seems to be actively trying to get repair issues with the building taken care of she's always walking around and making sure guests feel welcome. I always stay here when in San Antonio for business I have never locked my door when I stay I have never had anything go missing or had anyone attempt to come in uninvited. And I have hidden cameras in my room so I would know instantly. Maintenance guy is friendly just like the other staff members I have met. They have on-site security patrol from dark til sun up. I don't feel any safety issues when I stay here. As far as bugs go I haven't seen a flea or been bitten yet. I have seen a roach occasionally but seriously they can't control how people live and I see pest control out there regularly so if it really *bugs you haha bring a can of raid and blast that sucker if you see one. Would definitely recommend staying here short or long term with kids or without I have met long term residents here that I would trust my kids with before a sitter on one of those nanny sites.

So I will start with the bad and finish on the positive. The bad I had some stains on my white comforter on the first night, my room smelled smoky even though they don't allow smoking in the hotel rooms, my coffee mugs still had coffee stains in it and some of the kitchen appliances didn't look too clean, and to top it all off I saw 2 roaches in my room. Now personally I don't do insects period. Especially roaches. Now in all fairness I never complained to the staff so maybe they would've tried to make up for any of it but I didn't want to complain I just tried to fix things on my own. Now the good. The staff is soooo nice and accommodating and when I asked for new sheets and towels my first day they immediately provided them no problem. The price wasn't bad for the room. They try very hard to keep the common areas very clean I always saw someone cleaning. The room is very spacious and does have a lot of things you would need. It was also pretty quiet. I also like that the laundry was free. And the location seems good. I'm not too familiar with the area but it seemed like it was pretty close to everything. Only 15 -20 minutes to downtown. So there's positives and negatives about this place. Hopefully that helps someone else make a decision on moving in.

I find it interesting that they can raise the prices but not improve ANYTHING about the hotel. Just trifling, all of it. And this place is so roach infested they really need to demolish the entire hotel. At least at in town suites they’ll compensate you for your stuff being ruined by roaches, this place cares about nothing.

This place should have zero stars but to be exact the manager Sonya is not qualified to be a manager doesn't have how to handle customer complaints & if you rub her the wrong way you better believe your life will be made a living Hel*!!! Your only a transaction to this company. Their are no refunds even tho the buildings should be shut down because they are too cheap to fix the issues with the property. My family was house here during their stay in San Antonio and heard the staff talking about different guest at the property not only that but making jokes about their living situations. You would think if you don't want that type of clientele you wouldn't rent to them right? Nope, they need to hit their budget monthly so they rent to whoever walks thru the door and the manager works with the cops to house people with warrants to get them arrested once their checked in and no refund mind you. They are all around shady, the maintenance man is a meth head who steals out of rooms, and goes inside your units without authorization. The manager doesn't like him but the company won't back her up to let him go even tho he is a cancer to the company. Their security is a joke just like the manager who doesn't know how to keep her mouth closed. But hey if you want to stay in the hood be my guest!!!!

I'm an extended stay resident. The residence is managed by Sonya who is the General Manager. She has made the transition from the previous owners to Siegel Select very seamless. She is always quick to assist with any problems that a resident may have. The residence is maintained by Sony. Any time there is a maintenance issue Sony is quick to respond. The property is close to the Medical Center, HEB and numerous restaurants. The rooms are very nice which include WIFI, flat screen TV and A/C for those hot summer days. Each room also has a kitchen, dishwasher and fridge.

Jason Valenzuela is the only reason why I would give this place five stars. He is an excellent employee, always go above and beyond to help his guess. Makes me, and my family feel at home and comfortable.

Siegel Select Review-VA placed me and my family here temporarily for 7 days by day 3 ALL DEBITCARDS, CREDIT CARDS, VA CLASSIFIED MILITARY & MEDICAL DOCUMENTS, SS CARDS, ALL VA MEDICATION KID TOYS, BODY WASH EVERYTHING STOLEN..had to be an “INSIDE JOB”TRUST NO ONE HERE I MEAN NO ONE not even your “Friendly hotel next door neighbor NO ONE! come here if you have to just be prepared to do WHAT YOU HAVE TO WHEN THE TIME COMES!! crazy world ! DANGEROUS HOTEL BE PREPARED TO PROTECT YOUR FAMILY!

Great stay, staff is awesome. Friendly and accommodating. Room is clean. Well equipped for extended stay. Set up with daily essentials for cooking if you don't want to order in. Delivery menu offers very appealing list of culinary options. All around comfortable environment.

The room was clean, comfortable and perfect for what I needed. From front desk to maintenance, to housekeeping, everyone was always friendly and professional and able to assist with anything my family needed.

Great place , Sonya the manager is great ,and pet friendly place to stay but some pet owners don't want to pick up behind there fur friend but clean place on the inside ...

Place was very neat and clean sanitized for every visitor. Free laundry only use ties to be careful. They offer food in a little shop not quite sure how that works. If you use the order paper that is in the room be aware it's a very expensive. Quality is pretty good though. That was very knowledgeable and friendly. They had Fee you don't see when you check in! 50. And more 🤔

I really like it here at Sonesta Simply Suites. We've been here 2 weeks and everyone has been so nice and helpful. Not just the employees, who are wonderful, but the other guests are great as well. Sonesta is dog friendly and will accommodate any dog from mastiff's to teacup poodles. We have a full size Doberman and some other places in town have charged extra or just refused us. We've never had a problem with her here at Sonesta. They sometimes have little parties for the guests and children down in the common area. They have the lobby decorated for the holidays and it looks great. We've never had trouble finding parking. There are plenty of spaces even when the hotel is seemingly full. The only thing I would say is a drawback is trying to find the entrance when you first arrive. It's tricky because you don't actually see the building from the street only the sign. So it's easy to pass up and if you do, you have to drive all the way around to medical Rd and around Wurzbach to get back to the entrance again. So pay attention to the signs when you first arrive and are driving down the access Rd.

I really enjoyed staying here. And Sonya and Anjelica are superb at making you feel welcome. When I had a maintenance call, the supervisor was really nice and friendly too. It's clean and in a convenient location close to hospitals and shopping. Plus they offer on site security and it's well lit at night.

Nasty roaches everywhere do move here. the manger is disrespectful only cares about transactions. Roaches are making babies in the hallways the bath its out of control here

No free wifi and laundry also roaches everywhere ruined 2 laptops a TV router everything i own has roaches now so nasty

I felt catfished by the lobby. The rooms are amazing. Staff are super nice and Aimee, Simona, Ramona, Aaron, Marcy, Irene, and every other staff member here were the best. You are all amazing and I can not wait to go visit you again. Keep up the good work.

My family stayed for 9 days! Easy to take the money then to turn my daughter always for background which was non violent or drug charge! Took there money then told she couldnt sleep there! Sonia disrespectful and at no help if it was needed for a room. Ac want even cooling! Word of advice...make sure before pay a room..that no reason to be turned away once she gets the money! She truely needs a course on managment and customer service! WATCH OUT!
