This is the best, most extensive menu of delicious Japanese foods- sushi, sashimi, rolls, teriyaki, ramen or udon noodles. Seriously, the menu has a table of contents. And it's all high quality ingredients. They have lobster, and Chilean Sea Bass on top of the usual tuna, salmon, eel and spicy stuff. Our server was spectacular! Friendly and genuinely excited about the menu and restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. You can tell regulars have been coming to this place for decades. Enjoy!!!

Great service and food was delicious. Server guy helped us a lot , setting up a table for us. We had a double stroller so we can’t sit inside , so even outside was full , he could find a place and set us a table.

Great food, price, and plating aesthetics. Loved how their salad has loads of different ingredients to add to the taste and texture. They are also extremely thoughtful in how they separately plate the shrimp tempura and the udon, some restaurants put the tempura in the soup and it gets too soggy. Really happy with the overall quality of food. Service was polite but quite obvious they were trying to rush us to leave at the end even though there were still a few tables empty. I don’t get what’s the rush, we ordered enough food to deserve a peaceful and well paced dinner and we were not disrespectful in any way either? Other than this, the restaurant is wonderful.

this is my favorite restaurant in Brooklyn! we go at least once a week. the staff is always friendly and the food is always so good. I just wish they made more teriyaki ribs for the combination box but I understand why they run out - it’s AMAZING! I definitely recommend this place and we usually get the bun appetizer, monkey roll, downtown tokyo spicy noodles, and combination box.

A wonderful little sushi place in a great quiet neighborhood. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is very helpful and friendly. The sushi, especially the specialty rolls are very good, though some are less tasty than others. I highly recommend the 2014 and the Hana- both were surprisingly very flavourful and very interesting. Nothing like a good sushi place.

Literally one of my favorite places to go in the neighborhood. Tasty food, good quality, and very reasonable value! Love being able to mix-and-match different dishes (teriyaki, tempura, negimaki, etc. etc.) depending on my mood with their Combo Box!

Overall: 4.38/5 Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Atmosphere: 4.5/5 Value: 4/5 Would come back again? Yes Recommend: Fried Pork Cutlet, sashimi This is a good place to get Japanese food, especially sashimi. I got the sashimi deluxe combo, and those were the freshest sashimi I’ve had. Price wise it’s ok, it’s in NY so nothing is cheap.

Fish is not fresh - some of the fish tasted sour (not due to vinegar) and I wasn't able to finish my meal - I don;'t think its safe to eat the fish that was in my meal. Miso soup tasted like it had gone bad. Prices/value were good. I hope my order was a one-off vs a consistent issue but I will not be ordering from here again.

Ignore any negative reviews - this place is awesome. Great staff, great prices and delicious sushi. We stayed six days in lower Manhattan and took the subway over to Iron Chef House twice. Nicely decorated for Christmas with traditional Christmas music playing. The Monkey Roll was SO good. We limited our selections to their sushi rolls. If we were locals we'd keep coming back regularly.
