Liphofung Cave,Chalets

Tourist attraction

😠 Would not sleep here ever again, would not recommend it to anyone not in a million years, no sheets, no fitted sheets (matrass cover only) , 1 small pillow, asked for double or queen bed, only find two twin beds and joined upon our arrival, dirty carpets, dirty slippery shower, its a lot, paid R1750... People often mention guide,

We had a friendly guide and he spent his time explaining. It is a good 30min to an hour spent if you are in Lesotho.

Very historical and amazing place. I've been here with family and friends several times. It's interesting to see school history books coming alive in this place. Views are breathtaking and splendid snapping sites. Water is clean cold and never dries out. The best time to visit is November -December. Roads can be dangerous if driver is new because of sharp turns and heights, winter (May-August) roads are slippery due to frozen water that comes from melted snow. In a nutshell it's heaven for nature lovers.

Liphofung cave is a beautiful historic destination hidden in the mountains of Butha Buthe.

Make sure you make time for the uphill walk back up as its steep. R50 entrance

A really great experience to see the original Khoisan rock paintings, but the venue seems run down and not very well maintained. Also the cost to go to the cave is quite expensive. At R50 pp and still a mandatory R50 for a guide. So paid R250 for 4 adults.

Beautiful place. Great lesson by the guide. Even if you're not staying overnight, I would recommend paying this place a short visit.
