The hostel has a very laid back atmosphere in a good location close to the underground, overground and several bus stops so you can easily reach the very touristy areas of London. The rooms are totally okay but there are triple bunks in some of them which is not advertised on any booking websites and during the winter time it might be freezing. The bathroom is quite newly renovated but it's mixed and doesn't have any heating. Free dinner and breakfast (£5) are a nice little addition but this hostel is not (yet) a 10/10 as rated on many websites (those ratings come from staff asking people to leave 10/10 sometimes in return for a free night, I guess that's because the boss is all about money, so don't expect a marvelous perfect hostel with the best facilities etc.). Most of the staff members are genuinely nice and make you feel very welcome (especially all the native English speaking ones). All in all, I would stay again and recommend the place but don't expect too much.

Stayed here with a mate just before Christmas for a few nights and the stay couldn't have been better. As far as space, bedding and bathrooms go, all hostel necessities are provided faultlessly however the highlight of this place is it's laid back and inclusive atmosphere. The staff go out of their way to ensure you have a fun stay whilst getting to know one of London's less frequented but vibrant quarters. Special thanks to Greg and Angus for making it a great experience. 👍🏼👍🏼

This was my first hostel experience and it did not disappoint. I felt so welcome and safe. It was my first time solo traveling so I kind of had a mini-panic on my first night and the staff/volunteers were so friendly and helpful (especially Chloe). They also serve free dinners every night. Both nights I stayed the dinners were vegan which was perfect for me. The location was also great, the public transport in London is really efficient. The first night I slept great but the second night I had to wake up really early to catch my bus and only ended up only sleeping a few hours because the music was pretty loud downstairs and I could still hear it through my ear plugs. Although, I’m quite a light sleeper so it may not affect others as much. Also- this is definitely a social party hostel. They do nightly outings, so not ideal for someone who doesn’t really drink. Other than that, my stay was great! Thanks guys!!!

Overall great hostel! The staff was very nice and very helpful. They were really great t engaging everyone and really tried to make you feel at home. The hostel is really well located in Camden (really close to the Camden market and pubs). From the days trips to the family dinners and to the pubs, the staff was great. I definitely recommend! (PS it is party hostel, so its a great place to meet people and visit, but not the best choice if you want a very quiet place to stay)

I've stayed in hostels all over the world, including a really high tech one in Brussels and this one is the best I've experienced. There are several things that make it great: - The price is superb considering its central location and the fact the throw in a free dinner (delicious too) is incredible; - The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, far more than in other places where their freindliness can be a bit forced. - I love the integration of the old-fashioned British pub into the hostel as it brings together two quite differet worlds -- the old pub culture and the laid-back hostel culture. The pub is a bit noisy so not everyone will like it but it seems quite separate from the rooms. - The free breakfast is generous and very cheap, just £3. The coffee is particularly good. The hostel isn't very plush and you could find fault for a slightly shabby interior, but that sort of thing doesn't bother me at all as I know I'm getting such a good deal. I will make it my base every time I go to London. I used to stay at The Clink hostel near Kings Cross but the staff are almost hostile compared to this place; people in London are generally unfriendly, and particularly in hostels, and that's why I was so surprised by this place. And thanks top Rodriguez for agreeing to present the hostel on video. He is one of many volunteers who help out in exchange for accommodation.

I only used the pub downstairs. The Southampton Arms is an historic pub it being the local of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Unfortunately it's closing for good at the end of the month, if you want to see it please hurry.

What an awesome stay! Everyone was super helpful and so welcoming! They have a great bar and is located in an awesome area. We loved how the hostel was located a 15 minute walk from crazy Camden but in a quiet neighborhood. They even emailed us a list of cool places to check out. Awesome awesome :)

Age discrimination against older people. Refused me a bed on a cold night because I'm over 45

Good hostel with a good atmosphere although it was a bit quiet while I was there. It can also use a couple more facilities. The beds were also a bit uncomfortable and hard to get into it you are in the middle bunk. Free dinners. Nice location if you want to explore Camden.

The absolute best hostel in London! I stayed here for almost a month while I waited to move into my new flat and it was such a lovely experience. Hostel One Camden has the sweetest staff, the cleanest facilities, and is centrally located to all of London's biggest attractions. Hop onto the Northern Line located right up the street for easy access to the city. Go to one of Hostel One's daily/nightly scheduled events, or simply ask one of the employees for suggestions of things to do in the area. And if you just need a break from exploring, relax back at the hostel at the bar downstairs or in a cozy bunk upstairs. Whatever you need in your travels, Hostel One Camden has you covered.

One of the best hosteles you can stay at in London and specially good to experience the vibrant night life that Camden Town offers! Also the public pub on top is very good! Go for some shots!

The staff really makes the hostel; they're all super nice and welcoming, but my fave was Rita from the pub, she's just the sweetest! The hostel itself is very old so it might look dirty, but it was regularly cleaned, the bathroom was always impeccable whenever I used it. The dinners at night were simple but filling, the beds a bit squeaky, but we still slept fine. The Hostel is in a very quiet zone, but close enough to walk to a club or the market if you want. It's not in a very practical location, but since you have the subway 10 min away it's not the worst. It's a little bit too expensive for what it is and what they offer, but I got along so well with the staff and other guests that you kinda let it pass. All in all, a good stay <3

Very friendly staff, I've never felt more welcomed at a hostel before! A small walk from the station showed the area seemed nice too, an overall great experience. However, there are no curtains on the beds (triple bunk, if you're curious) (in the 12 bed rooms at least) so you feel somewhat exposed to the other sleepers. I didn't stay long enough to experience the itenery but the staff provide excursions and events for the tenants which was lovely to see! Lockers were a decent size also, my friend and I managed to share one no problem! Would definitely stay here again 😇

Absolutely amazing hostel! Super friendly staff! Good location, close to public transportation, shops, close to busy Camden town when you want to party, but in a nice quiet area so you're not kept awake by traffic! Free dinners every night, pub downstairs, daily/nightly activities so you can meet heaps of new people! 10/10 would stay here next time I'm in London!

This is a fun hostel for younger solo or duo travelers! They have morning tours everyday, and a bar/club every night! I especially enjoyed my tours with Maria and Malena to the food/antique market. Props to Alex, who hit the dance floor like a boss. Thanks Bernardo for running the show. Much love to all!

This was the highlight of my trip to London! The staff is incredibly kind, fun, and inclusive. The group-dinners, tours, and games really helped guests build bonds and friendships. I made so many friends through Hostel One Camden and cannot wait to go back! To mention a few by name: Jake makes the BEST cheese toasties. Georgia is like a big sister and makes you feel at home the second you arrive. Matt (Thor) and Sequoia are fantastic bartenders, super social and fun! Tana and Charli are always ready to adventure and take you out for a fun night. The whole staff is amazing - love to everyone!

I loved this hostel for so many reasons, but If you don't mind staying at a party hostel, then go ahead and book this place because its second to none. the main reason I loved this place was because of the people. Malena, isabelle, Andres, Maria, James, Jake, Camillo, Gaz, Greg and all the other volunteers/staff did a great at making you feel welcome and provided a lot of ways for you to have fun. From the walking tours during the day, family dinners, drinking games and party activities, it was all so much fun. All the other guests I met there were very friendly and I can say I met great people. The hostel is also in a great location, close to the city and great for exploring camdentown. The facilities are nice and clean. Theres a pub downstairs which is great for meeting people. I highly recommend this place if you want to make great friends, great memories and see London.
