Absolutely amazing place. We’ve been here about four times already and it’s wonderful. You’ve got toilets and loads of parking spaces. The beach is wow and the sand is super fine and soft. A bit windy but would recommend checking the place. Check out the town center also!

Beautiful clean beach and stunning views across to Southport and beyond to Wales. Sunset was divine. Have never been here before as we've always stopped at Blackpool. Decided to explore here and it was worth it. What a charming place. We'll definitely come back in the summer.

Love coming here for a walk along sand, it's always clean and litter free. The areas that allow dogs is also clean and I've majority of people keep their dogs on leads or the dogs stay with their owners. We bring the grandchildren and they love coming with their bikes, kites and bucket/spade. There are some lovely little cafes along the front that sell great snacks, fish and chips, ice cream and coffee, all the usual and not bad prices

What an awesome beach! The beach is about 5 miles wide, and its approximately 1.7 miles to the sea shore (2pm in August). You can see Blackpool tower and the Big One ride at the distance, however, Lytham St Anne's beyond better. The beach is so clean and there is no litter at site. Dogs are only allowed at certain parts of the beach. The only downside is the smelly donkeys at a section in the middle of the beach, the owner did not even pick up their body waste, disgusting. The water at the sea shore is clean and calm, but the tide was going out and so we were walking further into the sea. There was an international kite festival on the day we were there, great to see this event and some amazing kites. There is a lot to do for kids on the beach front, plenty of activities. Amusements, swimming pool, mini golf, and fun fair. Fish and chips were great from The View. There isn't a lot of parking and toilet facilities, so it's best to go early. The beach is not far from the town centre, and there are plenty of hotels or apartments if you plan to stay. I can't wait to go back next summer!

Wonderful sandy wide stretching beach. Golden sand is clean and safe. When the tide is out the sand stretches for, safe to walk just be aware of turning tides. The beach is great for dog walking, but stay away from the area around the pier as this is public area, I think no dogs awolled in summer. There is an interesting pier with an additional part which is no longer part of the pier but is of historical interest. The kite festival in summer is well worth a visit, but parking is difficult.

St Anne’s beach and promenade gardens. A great place for a day out or to visit when you stay at one of the fabulous hotels and B&B’s the town has to offer. The tide comes in twice per day, check the app for times. The beach is very clean and child friendly. The splash zone, paddling pool, trampolines mini links, crazy golf, mini train, and waterfall are a delight for small children. Fish and chips, ice cream and drinks shops are plentiful. Or just sit on a bench and enjoy the beautiful gardens.

A wide and spacious beach with good sand and St Anne's Pier for amusements and snacks. There are donkey rides to please young ones. When the tide is out you can walk for miles on the beach and you can hardly see the sea as it goes so far out. Lovely pools of water are left that reflect the sky and pier. There is also a nice promenade to walk along above the beach, with some interesting features along it - a lake, RNLI lifeboat station, beach huts, and places selling snacks and ice cream. Great beach to explore or to walk on. Dog friendly.

Gorgeous beach with miles of sand to play & watch the sunset. The beach just are great if you want a base & have a little more money to spend but we're often happy to pitch a day tent near the pier & while away a sunny day. There's great ice cream, a paddling pool & amenities on the prom as well as mini golf, amusements & a little train. Toilets are 40p but they're clean & serviceable. St Anne's town centre is a short walk from the beach & local shops provide everything you may have forgotten. Dogs are always welcome but cannot go on parts of the beach during peak season. Parking can be found free of charge on parts of the prom but there can be a charge in other parts or on private car parks so it's necessary to check first. There are plenty of pubs, restaurants, cafés & fish & chip shops nearby too & fantastic shopping is available just down the road in Lytham.

May 2023 Update: This time had a picnic amongst the sand dunes a little further back from the water. After a dry period, lasting two weeks or so, the sand and the beach were spectacular. We felt secluded as well as bring able to people watch. Great to see families during the good weather and the beach on a glorious public holiday. August 2022: Blackpool Airshow - Sunday, 32° C, a packed beach, excellent 💕

A green flag beach, on site toilets need 40 pence to access, car park also requires payment. Plenty of seats, local ice cream, fish and chips. Worth a visit. Part of beach is dog friendly.

Great family resort. Fairhaven Lake is very nice and is a good walking area. Also, there is a nice promenade along the front which takes you to the pier and beyond. Good attractions for young children and nice gardens along the front. Great beach. Spitfire memorial near the lake.

Lovely early Bank Holiday stroll on beach with our 3 dogs. Was fairly deserted. Tide was way out so plenty of room for dogs to run freely. Only part of the beach is allowing dogs at this time of the year. Began to get busier at 9.30. Plenty of parking and overnight parking for camper vans.

Beautiful very large sandy beach, the tide was out when we were there, so the beach went on for miles. We walked along the pier, you go through the amusement arcade first to get to the end of the pier. There are cafes and ice cream parlours to get something to eat and drink. There are public toilets along the promenade, which cost 40p to use. So make sure you have the right change as no change given. Parking at St Anne's pier car park was £3.00 for two hours.

What a beautiful beach. Its quite but really accessible from the carpark which is 90p for an hour. Their are steps to get down to the beach. It's dog friendly. after September till May all day. In the summer, only before 8am and after 6pm. When low tide the sea is a good walk away nut the sand is flat and you can walk all the way out. Definitely a lovely way to spend a few hours but wellies are a good idea The pier is home to multiple businesses that sell food ans drinks. Two thumbs up from me Two thumbs up from my wife Four paws up from our dogs

A lovely, scenic beach which has a huge expanse of sand and, as such, appears uncrowded even on a busy day. The beach itself does have the odd muddy and grassy patch with it being part of the estuary. If you dig down a bit, the sand gets very dark, so make sure kids are wearing clothes you don't mind risking stains on. It is a very flat beach and the sea goes out a very long way - this wasn't a problem for us as the kids just played in a large pool left behind and that actually felt safer, but might be if you wanted a proper paddle or swim. Up on the promenade is a lovely sculpted garden complete with a lake and waterfall. Further along are sea front businesses and a small selection of children's rides. There's also a splash park called Splash, which you can book a 45-minute slot for a child for a bargain £1. Be aware that all the toilets along the sea front you need to pay to use, but most people hold the door open for you to save you needing to.

I have a rescue dog who is still overcoming her fear of dogs and this beach was absolutely perfect for us. There is SO much space, I couldn't believe it! We walked for absolutely ages and she could be off lead the entire time because there was just no chance of bumping into anyone. The beach was clean and just enormous, I'd highly recommend to anyone but especially those who's dogs need a little more space 🐶

Plenty of parking, beautiful beach and rock garden/walkways, small lido, fountains, bouncy castles, small arcade for the kids and an award winning cafe at the north end. Great walks and public loos available at 20p per wee 😆 (unless the person before you holds the door 😉) What's not to love?! 🥳

Superb seaside town with loads to eat and drink, great for the kids to run and play either on the sands or on Pleasure Island. Great for a family day out, Lancashire at its best.

It was our young dogs 1st time on a beach and she loved it. The sea was really far out so we got to enjoy a lot of space before we reached the sea. There were lots of poo bins dotted around the edge of the beach too which was good. We will definitely be coming back.

Wow, impressed. The sea was about 2 miles out from the beach . I didn't realise it would also be so clean the beach. It was also split into an area for dogs and no dogs, which I totally agree with. There were some lovely beach huts that I think you can hire for the day, too. But it looks like this had to be done over the Internet well in advance . There were a few cafes and stalls of other food and drink etc. The area is flat too, so ideally, it is great for mobility scooters, etc. There was a large swimming pool I think indoors. My sister mentioned it. There was a little outdoor paddle pool. I think further our from St Anne towards Lytham? There's a big massive lake? The hotels on the breach front looked great, too . Overall I would deffinatly recommend.

Beautiful beach with a clean area. The edge of the sea was quite far on September 10th, so we had to walk almost a mile or so to get to the edge. But the weather was good, so we had a nice walk barefoot on the sand. We had flip flops so it was a quite great and comfortable walk. Fish and chips with some burgers are a great combo there near the Pier. And yes it's dog friendly but with the lead to be safer. Over all a great family outing. Cheers 😊

We had a really wonderful day, the lovely gentleman who came round in the morning and then looked after us all day is a credit to your business! Everything you need for a lovely day at the beach. We stayed 10am till 8am as we have young children. Beach huts are clean and tidy and it's great being able to use clean toilets and amenities close by. We will definitely be returning.

Wow. What a lovely place just next door to busy Blackpool. The beach was very clean and signposted very clearly which parts where dog friendly and not. Lovely cafes and ice cream stalls on the front. Plenty of seating too. Brilliant day out.

Love this place as its usually less crowded than going into Blackpool. It's very clean and still has some stuff for the kids to do..adults as well!! Love the beach, its so clean. Some nice shops around too.

Good for families. Nice clean beach and things to do. Donkey rides, little fair, places to eat/drink, leisure centre with swimming facilities and nice little cafe (cheapest for ice cream and has baby changing facilities), family train, pop up stalls serving seaside food (bring cash, some are cash only!) We parked at fairhaven (free street parking) and walked to St Anne’s. Fairhaven is also lovely with a boating lake, play park and places to eat/drink.

Lovely visit to St Anne's Beach, was surprised at how clean it was compared to Blackpool etc. Nice area and surroundings too, clean and tidy. We went on a busy sunshiny Saturday and the car parks were all full so we had to park on the main road and walk to the beach but we had a nice little walk, got fish and chips and then walked down the beach to the sea. Our little boy really enjoyed it, had a good splash around in the sea, did some digging in the sand and also loved spotting the aeroplanes and helicopters in the sky. We found it was busy but knowhere near as busy as Blackpool. Fun day overall - we will be back again.

I thought this place was beautiful! The beach was clean and not cluttered with people, the gardens on the promenade are very well made and a nice change to see as you walk down the front, a pleasant handful of kids entertainment and food places, perfect!

Lovely beach ⛱️ it wasn't that nice of days, but plenty of people about and kids on the beach great pit stop and plenty people out and about enjoying it. Meet up with 2 guys. Sorry, I can't remember their names, but as you can see by the photos I posted, they had a pit stop as well and had their 2 dogs on the back of their scooters, which the dogs 🐕 absolutely loved and I mean they came a few miles it was just great to see. Happy 😊 days.

Nice beach, but small. The weather wasn't great so not a great experience. A highlight is the cute donkeys!! You can find them by the beach and kids can ride.... but not adults :((((((((( there wee a few public toilets & stalls around for coffee & donuts. The city centre is quite close. The photos are from 2021.

Went for two day trips during the half term. The beach is massive when the tide is out. There is plenty to do for a full day out and a decent town.

  • 4/5 Alexander K. 9 months ago on Google
Nice, quiet beach with all the amenities of Blackpool but without the crowds. The Grandson especially enjoyed the splash park (£1 for 1 hour pre-booked slot) and hunting for pirate treasure on the sands (metal detectors permitted if the usual etiquette rules are followed)

  • 4/5 Kieran B. 9 months ago on Google
Nice place, clean and some interesting spots to look at such as the ornamental garden, pier, beach huts etc. Parking I'd difficult on a sunny weekend/bank holiday but if you're willing to walk 5/10 minutes then there's plenty of free on road parking around the streets set back from the beach

  • 5/5 Peter H. 2 years ago on Google

A lovely beach, very clean. Lots of flat golden sand. A promenade to walk along the sea front. The sea is usually so far out you can hardly see it. Today the sea was definately in. Someone told us the sea has been coming closer over a period of time due to global warming, I'm not sure if this is correct, but it makes sense. There is a Victorian pier with amusements and a cafe. The toilets on the pier are currently closed. Parking is pay and display £2.30 for 2 hours.

  • 5/5 Ann Norleigh N. 1 year ago on Google
Visit the beach with my dog most days and tend to walk North. I love the vast space and its always a great adventure for my dog. In the main it is always clean and dog walkers clean up their dog poop. Lovely place!

  • 5/5 Natasha P. 1 year ago on Google
We used to park along one of the main roads around the beach but since they widened the walk way and removed parking spaces we park closer to the beach, overall it is better and safer for cars and people. We walk our dog here atleast once a month and there are toilets and cafe near by so perfect spot, parking is free late at night.

  • 5/5 tomek d. 1 year ago on Google
O boy, boi boooooi, good boi! what a place for dog walking when allowed! Stunning views, can walk miles into the sea when tide is low, need to be careful though, as it can surprise you and become a danger very quickly! Best to check the times of tidal waves online for the location. Other than than plenty of friendly people with their pups and the sea of course! 🌊 much better place than over advertised Blackpool and if out for the walk don’t assume the sand will be soft as it can be very uncomfortable for bare feet. Nearby you can find dog friendly restaurant where they serve dog menu! Some steaks etc for 🐶

  • 5/5 Avril K. 1 year ago on Google
I love Lytham St Anne's. It's a stunning place, beautiful beach that is clean and vast. Came for the kite festival. We have been several times and always have a wonderful time.

  • 5/5 Sein 1 year ago on Google
A good large beach with a traditional pier that had an arcade, chips etc and I've creams etc. The local shopping area is close by and the promenade is a nice walk. There's also a cinema and pub that serves food close to the beach area. Overall a nice place to visit for a few days at least. If you want more, then Blackpool is just a couple of miles up the road.

  • 5/5 Mike P. 2 years ago on Google
Fantastic place to go for a walk, especially at low tide. Was super windy today thou 🤣 Dog friendly too, there's just a section dogs can go on which runs from good Friday to end of September, then dogs can use the whole beach.

  • 5/5 gem p. 1 year ago on Google
Really enjoyed our time on the beach . Loads of shells to find and jelly fish and it wasn't hectic even though its the summer holidays. The parking is right next to the beach so it's easy access for disabled people. Really clean 👌

  • 5/5 josh witherstorm and g. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent beach for good open air walking, located less than an hour from the Manchester, Liverpool and Preston urban areas. A coarse, salty beach for walking fir all, offering exceptional views of the Irish sea, over towards Merseyside. Good parking, local amenities and eateries on hand should you need them. The beach itself is a good place for finding driftwood and sea glass.

  • 5/5 Andrea K. 2 years ago on Google
The tide never seems to fully come all the way in on this beach (unlike Blackpool) so you can always take a walk. At low tide there's so much beautiful sand. Popular with dog walkers.
