Stopped off here for a little look around this morning, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome I received from both the lovely man who owned the nursery and the lovely woman and her son who run the tea shop. All employees were great!! They were very accommodating of myself and my dog koda, they all wanted to say hello to her, which we both love. They have chickens and rheas which was awesome to find! I bought myself a few crystals on the way out after enjoying a pot of tea and a scone in the cafe. If only I lived closer, I would be there all the time! Thank you all for your hospitality.

We needed three new point of lay chickens to bolster our backyard chicken population. We could not have chosen a better supplier. An extremely friendly and knowledgeable Spanish man located the exact Henriettas we wanted. Trimmed their wings and boxed them up in less than 5 minutes. This place is a hidden gem. We also found some huge cooking apples in the fresh fruit & veg section. It's the kind of discovery that makes you want to go back and browse around time after time. Just a delightful farm shop... ... ... made especially perfect by the staff.

The potting shed is a great place for a bite to eat and a coffee, there is a heated Orangery which is dog friendly and the main cafe for those preferring not to have canine company. Really cheery staff giving table service. 🙂 They do plants, veg and other garden centre stuff too.

A beautiful garden nursery with chickens that always, from my experience, grows up to be healthy. My family always ends up having a minimum of 4 chickens at a time Additionally, I've been here multiple times for breakfast and lunch and can highly recommend going in for both. The staff are friendly and hospital people that make you feel welcome.

Bought my hens there this summer and I couldn't be happier for the quality of the customer service and the product itself. The hens are happy and they lay beautifully and get along with all the other pets and garden birds.

Love this local cafe. Super friendly staff, generous food, some locally sourced meat from the excellent farmshop just up the road. Love this place, go support it if you are local (and hungry!)

Great sausage sandwiches for breakfast and very dog friendly! Only improvement would be more shaded outdoor seating

The service and food is amazing! The ladies in there are so lovely!!! Recently came in for lunch with my partner and baby. The ladies made him a baby friendly lunch, cutting it up for him and offered some cucumber too. They are welcoming and friendly. Will be back!

Visited Thornes today for our Christmas tree. Great value and beautiful trees. Was reminded why this is our favourite nursery because of the lovely staff and obvious care they have for their plants.

Small family run business with good Cafe with obviously a good chef. Just wish they would walk round with a barrow and chuck out plants not good enough to sell. The whole place would look so much better.

Great plant nursery and garden supplies with some unusual and interesting things on sale. Very knowledgeable helpful people too. Called in at the Potting Shed Cafe for a second time for lunch whilst out on another walk. Once again, super friendly service. Great relaxed atmosphere. Lovely and clean, the water bowls put out for dogs and doggie treats are a lovely touch too. Definite recommendation for as place to stop for something to eat and everything for the garden.

Small and charming garden centre hidden away at the back of Letchworth - popped there after looking for places to eat lunch with good reviews in or around Letchworth. The potting shed is a small and welcoming eatery with simple but generous portions of sandwiches and toasties etc. Will definitely visit again.

For once a proper garden centre, and minus the rip off price tags to go with it. Yep that's now our regular, so forget the chains, where shareholders profit. Stick with local company's exactly like this, support them, and they support you.

Such a nice mini garden centre with lots of fresh fruit & veg, flowers and shrubs, and outdoor ornaments. It also has chickens and rheas, and a lovely cafe that serves delicious food with friendly service! 😊

Great little nursery and farm shop with lovely selection of products and it's own little cafe. Love popping here for my veggies as they are always so fresh and last well. Owners and staff very friendly too.

A lovely find. Dog friendly too. We ate at the Potting Shed cafe, menu consisted of sandwiches/wraps/toasties or paninis with a wide variety of fillings. Jacket potatoes available too. Sandwich served with plain crisps and dressed green leaves. Side of homemade coleslaw was very tasty, so do upgrade if you can to include this. Very fresh bread, only criticism was the bread was very thick but as so wonderfully fresh and the filling was moist it slipped down easily! Unfortunately no room for any cake. Coffee was large and wonderfully hot. We will return for the soup and half sandwich option. All staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, a credit to the owners.
