A very beautiful place, easily as pretty as the Peak District or the Yorkshire Moors but on a smaller scale, wonderful views of the countryside. If you enjoy hiking, walking, beautiful views and countryside Pegsdon Hills ticks all of the boxes.Only problem is not much parking, only a small lay by or you have to park on the road.

Beautiful place for long walks and enjoying the country side. Lots of sheep around and you may get lucky and get approached by some of the friendly horses roaming around. Make sure to have proper and if necessary spare foot ware as lots of manure around. There's no car park, only a little side road that can take 4 or 5 cars, so you may have to park else where and walk there or arrange for a drop off / pick up.

We walked all the way from Hitchin Station to Pegsdon Hills. Lots of green field on the way, the hill itself was the highlight of our walk! Absolutely stunning view compared to a few other Nature Reserve around London that I have been to.

Fantastic walks across a number of high hills, part of the Chilterns, with great views from the top. Wooded walks at the back. Popular for dog walks. Near several pubs. Some parking but crowded at peak times.

Lovely walking area with lots of trails. Endless opportunities for a ramble. Grazed so all dogs need to be on a lead. Links to byways, bridleways and long distance paths.

A 4.5-km walk that takes about an hour to complete. It's an easy walk to complete but there are some inclines which may be a challenge to some. The trail is open throughout the year and is beautiful to visit any season. At the top of Deacon Hill there are nice views which help free your mind from day to day stresses. There is livestock so you'll be able to see sheep and horses. Perfect for hiking, running, bird watching and dog walking. This is probably my favourite local walk.

Great circular walk, nice nature Highland cows and friendly sheep. Take some boots if it has rain as it gets very slippery and muddy.

Favourite local place to walk and trail run. Not only lovely scenery, but also lots of wildlife in the form of various breeds of sheep, cows, red kites, buzzards, kestrels, rabbits, hares, etc.

Really nice nature walk, quite hilly so can be tiring, but the views are great.

Lovely nature reserve! Location/scenery is gorgeous - there is a whole range of terrain types, from steep hills (a rarity for the county!) to wooded paths to open fields - and there is a surprising amount of history to the place. It is one of my favourite places to walk, but I took a star off the rating because it isn't the most 'accessible'; parking can be tricky (there is no designated car park) and the footpath signs aren't the best. However, definitely worth it!

Lovely walk, cannot wait to revisit in the height of summer and have a picnic up here and also try the bar/restaurant the view at the bottom of the nature reserve.

Great place for a walk. Children and dog friendly. You will meet a lot of wildlife life creatures along with the farm animals

Be careful with offlead dogs, as sheep and cows roam freely! Other than that - one of our favourite walks! Amazing hills, great wildlife and brilliant views. You can make it a short 1 hour walk or explore other nearby areas and create a longer one!

Amazing area, could lose yourself in these hills for hours walking around. Soo many Red kites and lovely to see sheep grazing the hills.

Only a few miles from me ,and it's absolutely beautiful, fantastic long walks, abundance of wildlife, and the views are breathtaking, if you love country walks but don't want to drive miles you will love it and doesn't cost a thing ,just keep ur dog on a lead, and never leave rubbish

👍👍 Lovely farm and would recommend bringing young children. Lots of animals; cows, chickens, pigs, alpacas, goats, rabbits, a python and peacocks. You could buy feed for the animals which was nice. Rides around farm were fun and lots of seating for lunch. A nice gift shop and fresh eggs and honey avail...
